"have loved everything! to be in the service industry for the last 20 years, it is hard for me to find exceptional experiences where eating, service and atmosphere are all 5 stars. the attention to the detail on ocean 44 is incredible and helped me relax on my day when we celebrated my birthday and our 2 years high season day. so thank you so much to adapt. hannah, our server, was an absolute doll! the feeds and drinks speak for themselves, they can literally not go wrong with something on the menu there is something for everyone. many thanks for such a great night!"

"The food was amazing. We started with delicious crab cakes and then moved to the salmon sushi and salad. But all was not well! They forgot to bring bread to the table out of the gate. Then they brought us in a wrong dish. It would have been no big dealexcept our waiter would literally disappear for 10 minute increments. I had to get up from the table and point out to thewaiter that we had also ordered blackened shrimp and grits, which were probably delicious when they were cooked but now theywere 15 minutes cold and a little more chewy than they should have been. Three times we had to ask other staff to fill ourdrinks. While they graciously took off the dinner we did not order, it seemed like the staff was a little discombobulated. Butfor me, the straw that broke the camel's back is when they brought my girlfriend her blackened shrimp and grits, to make a placeon the table, he grabbed the mistaken fish and chips and actually asked her to grab her fork from her plate instead of justbringing a fresh one. Seriously? It was my first time at this establishment. My girlfriend has been here many times before andassured me this was highly unusual. Time will tell."

"As my last night in St. Louis, I decided to search for the best steak in the city, possibly even at a Top 10 Steakhouse. Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse lived up to its reputation. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and I had a great time with my colleagues. The atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The fresh bread was light and delicious. We started with a charcuterie board, which was perfect for sharing. The bacon fat candle was a creative touch. The Caesar salad was good, but not outstanding. I ordered the 12oz KC strip, which was cooked well but lacked seasoning on one side. The steak was sourced from Midwest farms and was overall very good. The loaded baked potato was decent but slightly burnt on the bottom. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre, tasting like velveta with melted cheddar. The bread pudding for dessert was tasty, though the bourbon flavor in the sauce was overpowering. Overall, Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse is a good restaurant with a solid steak near downtown St. Louis. I would recommend it to others, but it falls short of being a Top 10 Steakhouse."

"This place is a very unique local restaurant that people flock to constantly despite its more expensive prices. I went here with a group of coworkers, and we really loosened up and had a great time. The crabs are top notch, and the queen and king crab legs are out of sight. There's only one other crab place I'd put above it in this area (Joe's , but it's slightly less expensive here. (Large-sized crab platters are in the $30-$40 range. They give you a lot of food, and the appetizers we had were very good as well. The other seafood that some of my fellow guests had was reportedly excellent as well. Go here for an interesting and different experience. You'll definitely enjoy it."

"The host at this restaurant was extremely unwelcoming, showing rudeness and using inappropriate language. Despite having made a reservation, he expressed no interest in accommodating it. The wait staff was unpleasant and inattentive, giving off an attitude as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The busboys were the only pleasant ones and should have been serving customers instead. We were given dirty wine glasses with lipstick on them and when we asked for clean ones, we were told there were none available and had to wait. They even neglected to serve us bread. We overheard the host telling a waitress to not bother with birthday celebrations and focus on getting customers out of their tables. This experience was so negative that we will never return to this establishment. We would rather support homeless individuals who are more appreciative."

"I really wish I could rate this place higher. It’s truly one-of-a-kind. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and create a fantastic atmosphere. "We have been here before and really enjoy this place. The server got our order mixed up and ordered the NY Strip instead of the Cowboy Rib Eye. The hostess notice that there was an issue before the server and removed the NY Strip from the table and ordered the Cowboy Rib Eye, medium rare and took ab out 15 minutes ok steak was excellent when I finally got it server said he was sorry fat fingered the order. Finished dinner handed the server my credit card he ran it return with card copies only and no detail, on thinking about my bill it seemed as though they never took off original steak, grabbed a menu and figured it out BTW server passed by near my table twice and never asked if everything was ok finally Hostess came by and apologized as she never took off steak. than took care of correcting. Server never approached table again very disappointed. I do think that the restaurant should have comped my steak as my partner was finished before my dinner ever arrived as a gesture for the inconvenience. Food was excellent just disappointed with server and follow-up"

"My husband and I had a Saturday date night to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. From the moment we entered, we were treated like royalty. I had mentioned in the reservation that it was my birthday, and we were greeted with a beautiful birthday card along with a complimentary dessert later on. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our server Ashley made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each course without feeling hurried. The calamari, clam chowder, and lobster tail were all exceptional. This restaurant left us with a fantastic first impression, and we can't wait to come back again."

"We sat in the bar where we asked to sit. It was a bit noisy since all the sitting was around one area. This is the second time I have ordered the Fish special and It was a piece of white , dry, rubbery fish. I had to use my knife to cut it , almost the texture of chicken. I was extremely disappointed in that in the past it was always good. Everything else had a fairly good meal, shrimp tempura and meat medallions . If I come back I will not order the fish again."

"Racist and discriminatory behavior by owner...My family went here recently for my father 's birthday. My mom called twice a few days prior trying to make a reservation for 20 people and asked if she could bring a cake. Both times the receptionist (who is family with the owner) said they don 't take reservations but could do a walk in and she could bring a cake. (Already poor restaurant management experience bc who in their right mind says a 20 top walk in is ok lol) anyway...on the day of my mom called 15 minutes before my family was set to arrive just to confirm for a third time that they were good to walk in as a 20 top and was transferred to the owner who said ABSOLUTELY NOT and that they better not come by the restaurant. Frantically my mom and family tried to figure out where to go for my dad 's birthday with 20 people waiting to figure out the new plan. After calling multiple restaurants who said they couldn 't take a large group last minute (obviously), they decided to try to go to this restaurant and just get multiple smaller tables at varying times in an effort to help out and not inundate the waitstaff and kitchen at the same time. Upon arrival the owner yelled at my mom and told her again ABSOLUTELY NOT and that he told her to stay away. He then said that it was impossible the receptionist during the week told her it was ok to walk in as a 20 top bc it is his family (lol). He then said in front of my entire family and in the most rude and degrading tone possible: IT IS BECAUSE OF YOUR ACCENT THEY DON 'T UNDERSTAND YOU. My mom is Brasilian and has lived in the US for 30 years and has nearly perfected her English during that time...she was embarrassed and felt incredibly disrespected by this little man. You would think after the restaurant having struggled through the pandemic there would be some sense of humility. But alas- true colors always shine through. Long story short: discriminatory, racist, rude, and overall poor restaurant management by the owner From one Italian (me) to another (this restaurant 's owner): VAFFANCULO"

"First time here, but will come back! Atmosphere and food was phenomenal! It was pricey, but well worth the money. Can't wait to come back and bring my son, who wasn't able to be with us. "I am giving my review based mainly on the service at this restaurant. The food was decent, but I found it to be very expensive and the preparation took too long. Stephanie, our server, was a true gem of a person. I enjoyed every interaction with her - she was sassy, wise, and always had something interesting to say. She made sure we never went too long without a refill or checking in on how our experience was going. Stephanie was very welcoming and I would definitely return because of her. The wings were okay, but quite small for the price. The pasta was well-cooked, but it didn't stand out as being particularly unique. Thank you again, Stephanie, you are a phenomenal person and I admire your work ethic and personality. I hope you see this review because you deserve praise for your excellent service."

"This restaurant is a blast from the past, reminiscent of the late 80s/early 90s in the best way possible. We visited for brunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly. The service was extremely friendly, and the food we ordered, such as the omelette platter, was exactly what we expected from a classic diner. We were pleasantly surprised when they put my iced coffee in the milkshake machine, giving it a whipped and frothy texture that was delicious. The decor seemed unchanged for the past 30 years, but it was impeccably clean and well-maintained, appearing as if everything was brand new and perfectly preserved in a museum. The restaurant was decked out in festive 4th of July decorations, which added a cute touch. The 80s lite rock music playing in the background added to the nostalgic atmosphere. Overall, the restaurant was a peaceful and less chaotic dining experience compared to other nearby diners, and we will definitely be returning."

"We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels & clams which had white sauce over them - sauce reminded me of New England clam chowder - very different than what we expected but delicious. I had the stuffed salmon as my entrée and my husband had the ahi tuna - both dishes were very good. I'd recommend Pier 106 to anyone visiting Milwaukee."

"Worst diner I’ve ever been to. Service gets a 0. The staff seemed like they were bothered to be taking our order and it took them 25 minutes just to serve us coffee and bring out a cup of orange juice. When the food came out they forgot to put the bacon in one of the BLT’s and the other didn’t have the avocado. When we asked for refills of coffee the waitress literally ignored us and just walked away. It is important to note, that it wasn’t even busy. I will encourage people not to come here for a bad experience."

"I am always on the lookout for a new steak restaurant, so I headed north to Putnam county. I wanted to try Char after getting fed up excuse the pun) with overpriced steakhouses down county and in NYC where prices for one person with an App, bone in porterhouse or rib eye, a side and three drinks can put you back 125 or more w/o tip. Well Char won the battle for my with a 83 tap at the bar with 3 happy hour priced drinks ice cold Brooklyn Lager 6, two glasses of a pretty good Malbec 6 and my favorite a Josh Cabernet 8. None of those cheap wine pours with the little carafe, these were generous pours Now to be fair, the 18 Oz French cut bone in rib steak 44) looked great when plated, the free shoe string fries and a nice sautéed zucchini slices also no extra charge) The steak was cooked medium perfectly, while it was tender Black Angus beef, it was still a bit fatty. The steak was very good at least as good as a summer BBQ at Uncle Louie's house, but it couldn't compare to dry aged beef which is now over 70 a plate at fancy steakhouses. The HH lobster roll which I had instead of clams and oysters which are available and looked good) was toasty lobsta excellence. So in summary, I'll return likely for the HH Apps and if the stock market tanks or if I'm headed down the Taconic after a day of hiking I'll gladly eat a Char steak."
