"I like the quality of the food and I always enjoy my experience when eating inside the restaurant. However, I find it hard to order to go or delivery at this place. They box all the sushi together, which bothers me, because they have no idea whether or not it’s for the same person. When you ask for certain rolls to be boxed separately, they give you a cheap box and often don’t give you a second set of ginger and wasabi. You don’t get soy sauce unless you specifically ask for it. They don’t offer forks at all. I think these practices are cheap, especially considering I normally spend at least 60 dollars every time I order. I think for that much money, they can spare an extra container and few packets of soy sauce."

"I prefer this location over their other South Bay locations because they are consistently more generous with their ingredient portion size here. You won 't feel like you 're spending on just a pot of veggies they actually give you enough of everything. They used to have looooong lines and Yelp waitlist, but I haven 't seen that in my last few trips. Hopefully, I 've just been getting lucky and their business is still doing great. It does feel like they have less staff than they used to though.My go to: stinky tofu beef Taiwanese supreme. My family 's go to: lamb seafood lobsterThey recently added a new chili salt powder with their other condiments on the table and it is sooooo addicting. Tip: don 't be shy asking for more broth when you 're running low. Taiwanese hot pots are meant to be enjoyed with the ingredients mostly covered in broth. Their broth (pork bone base) is not as flavorful as other hotpot places. The spice level doesn 't feel very consistent (ie: Flaming hot doesn 't taste as spicy as it used to be). Some ingredients weren 't very well prepped (ie: meats intestines aren 't as soft mushrooms were all stuck together). They also changed the type of instant noodle being used for the Taiwanese supreme pot it 's a lot thinner now, but I personally preferred the thicker ones. HOWEVER, my family still come here pretty often because it 's great value, especially during lunch.Parking might be a headache though. Their parking lot is small and traffic in this area is always crazy."

"On a cold day, there's nothing better than a warm meal, and Tasty Pot is always at the top of my list. This place tends to get quite busy, so I recommend adding your name to the waitlist on Yelp to avoid lengthy wait times. We visited tonight and had already joined the waitlist, so when we arrived, I simply checked in at the front. We were seated in just under 10 minutes! The staff here are incredibly friendly; they greet you warmly when you walk in and say goodbye as you leave. Their customer service really deserves an A+. As for prices, they are quite reasonable, depending on your choice of soup, with additional charges for extras. I've been really enjoying the Tomato Hot Soup lately—definitely give it a try; you won't be disappointed!"

"I had a limited amount of time, so I inquired about when my order would be ready. I was informed it would take 10 minutes. However, after waiting 10 minutes, my order still wasn't prepared, so I politely checked in to see how much longer it would take. They did manage to prepare my order, for which I was grateful, but unfortunately, the quality was disappointing—it was overly greasy and lacked substance. I had ordered the same dish before, and it was enjoyable then. I can't help but wonder if my order was intentionally made poorly because they might have thought I was complaining when I was merely checking on the status in a friendly manner. This experience occurred on Sunday, January 2, 2022. The staff working that day came across as unprofessional and unkind."

"I was introduced to this style of food by my Chinese boyfriend, many of the ingredients were foreign to me and there are a few I still don 't care for, but we try to go at least once a month, sometimes more often than that because I have become addicted and obsessed. I like that you can choose your spice level, so even if I prefer medium or spicy, I can take along friends who can 't handle the heat. I have no complaints about the food or the service, and if you 're eating long enough they 'll even come top up your bowl with soup . I 've been to other hot pot restaurants, including some that are more traditional in serving everything on the side and you dip every bit yourself, but I have found that I still prefer coming to tasty pot instead. Ordering on my phone was a bit jarring the first time but I got used to it quickly. Americans may have trouble with wait staff not checking on you every 5 minutes but I prefer being left alone while I eat. I 've never experienced rude behavior or had difficulty understanding the servers when they do come over, and I will continue eating here for as long as I can."

"I ordered the Japanese miso pot at this restaurant. It was delicious. I especially enjoyed the flavorful broth, udon noodles, and Napa cabbage. I requested for no mushrooms, zucchini, or fish balls in my dish. The pork slices were a bit dry since they were fully cooked, but it wasn't too bad. The crab was disappointing as it was mushy and there was very little meat, with tiny crab legs that weren't worth trying to find meat on. I would recommend asking for an extra bowl to separate the noodles and other items to avoid overcooking. The service was decent, typical of Asian restaurants being less talkative but still polite, with water refills offered. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I left feeling satisfied."

"A satisfying exhale after every bite.They don't skimp on ingredients and the flavors are mouthwatering. Each pot is filled to the brim with a great variety of veggies and meat, and they are great vehicles for the wonderful medley of flavors from the soup.The ambience was also nice, we sat in a booth so the experience felt private and undisturbed. Service was quick and kind you call your server with a button and they come right away.I will be coming back to this place soon... Excited to try all the soup bases! (Also would recommend getting shaved ice afterwards!"

"Tasty Pot has always been the go-to place when work colleagues and I don't have a clue what to eat for lunch. After 1.5 year of COVI-19, now it is still a great choice! Service was great. Menu and ordering all electronic form. Scan barcode and place orders. Although one of our team member forgot to click submit on his phone, the staff quickly bring the missing order (although it's our fault). I recommend the Newark, Dublin, and Cupertino location as well! Well established chain serving practices."

"The Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup from The 9 is absolutely delicious and nicely packaged, with no spills. It arrived piping hot, which was a nice touch. However, I also added Pork Intestine to my order, and I found the portion to be quite small for the price. I would recommend skipping that if you're considering ordering it."

"When Tasty Pot first opened, I went a couple of times as wasn't impressed with the flavors. So for years, I really haven't gone back. Recently, I visited again, and I'm not sure what changed, but I really liked the flavors this time. I got the Cheesy Milk hot soup, the soup was boiling hot, flavor was on point, and the spice level was good. The others in our group got the Lamb Hot soup and Thai flavor hot soup. They enjoyed theirs as well, I tasted all three and liked the Cheesy Milk the best, but that's personal preference. Last night, I was feeling sick and I ordered to go, and it was still hot and tasty for take out too. Bonus, if you eat in the restaurant, you get free sweet tea, we liked the green tea that was served the best."
