"This is possibly the worst Indo Chinese food I have ever had in the US. The Manchow Soup, whether vegetarian or chicken, is basically just a soup of red chilies that is extremely hot and spicy with no vegetables or noodles. Eating this soup will almost certainly give anyone diarrhea. The Golden Chili Baby Corn is also disappointing, as it is only made with red chili paste and the baby corn is very hard, lacking in flavor and tasting only like chili. I ordered Chicken Noodles or Schezwan, but received fried rice that was excessively spicy with only chili flakes and chicken that tasted old and stale. I feel like my $50 was completely wasted. Despite its high ratings, this restaurant serves the worst Indo Chinese food. I will never order from here again and will not be returning. They are simply taking advantage of people with their poor quality and truly unhealthy food."

"Excellent Indian restaurant. Cloth napkins and tablecloths. Wonderful, but not hovering service. Quiet and relaxing environment. We mentioned we were relatively new to Indian cuisine--my date likes mild, I like spicy. They were very helpful in describing and recommending dishes that accommodated both our tastes preferences. Good value, too. Relatively inexpensive plus we both walked out with dogie bags.. It's a bit difficult to find--tucked away in one of the endless Army Trail Rd. strip malls--but well worth searching it out. We will definitely be going back."

"This was our first visit I have enjoyed Indian food before so I'm not a total novice but navigating the menu became a bit of a challenge was hoping to stay healthy and one dish came unexpectedly with fried ingredients another came laden with carbs that I hoping to avoid suggest asking for clarification on what will be served most of the food was good portions varied appetizers were hearty lentil soup was served in very small cup we are not deterred and will try again but with guidance. Server was friendly and efficient."

"We celebrated my daughter's birthday during our second visit to Sapphire, which she chose as her preferred restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. They surprised her with a birthday dessert that she absolutely loved. My oldest daughter enjoyed the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp, while I had the Tandoori Mix Grill. The birthday girl relished her Shrimp Curry, and another guest enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. The rice and garlic naan were delicious too. My takeout Panang Curry Chicken was excellent, featuring red curry, lime leaves, coconut milk, and peanuts, all served with crispy steamed broccoli."

"I recently found myself in a bit of a culinary predicament near Grand Central Station one evening around 9 pm. Most restaurants had already closed their doors, but luckily, I stumbled upon Joy Curry and Tandoor, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. As a food enthusiast, I was in search of a satisfying meal, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Despite the late hour, they still had a variety of options available for takeaway. I opted for the meal pack, which included two curries, vegetables, naan, and extra rice. Now, let's dive into the flavors. While I was pleased with most of the dishes, there were a couple that didn't quite hit the mark. The samosas and palak paneer, unfortunately, fell a bit short in terms of taste. They lacked the robust flavors I had come to expect from these dishes. However, the rest of the offerings more than made up for it.The curries were the star of the show. Bursting with aromatic spices, they tantalized my taste buds with every bite. The balance of flavors was on point, and the richness of the sauces was simply delightful. It was evident that the chefs at Joy Curry and Tandoor know their way around Indian cuisine. The portion sizes were also commendable. I found them to be generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The naan was warm and fluffy, the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavorful curries. The extra rice was a welcome addition, providing an ample base to enjoy the vibrant sauces. While the samosas and palak paneer may have fallen short, the overall experience at Joy Curry and Tandoor was a positive one. The delicious curries, generous portion sizes, and convenient location near Grand Central Station made it a great choice for a late-night takeaway. If you find yourself in the area and craving some Halal Indian cuisine, I would recommend giving Joy Curry and Tandoor a try. Just make sure to explore their menu beyond the samosas and palak paneer, and you're bound to discover some truly yum-worthy dishes that will satisfy your cravings."

"While the ambiance might not be the most impressive, the food more than makes up for it. The biryanis are exceptional, particularly the Gongura chicken and Hyderabadi lamb dum biryani. Additionally, the portion sizes for the price are quite generous. They offer a family size, but ordering two regular biryanis will definitely be enough for a family of four. The only downside was the Mirchi Salan, which was too watery instead of the rich and nutty flavor it should have. However, the robust flavors of the biryanis truly stood out."

"Ambrosia is about as good and Indian cuisine that you could ask for in this vicinity. The Garlic Naan is super buttery. The Samosas are large and flavorful. The Butter Chicken is a really sweet treat. I had the Traditional Curry Lamb which had a wonderful sauce, however I found the meat especially though. Service is super attentive and very helpful too. I recommend checking it out."

"I went to avoid! for dinner yesterday to celebrate an anniversary and ordered both non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes, but unfortunately, they were all tasteless. The meat dishes were especially disappointing due to the heavy seasoning."

"I was in an Indian movie, so I decided to have a great Indian brunch. the movie was long so I really appreciated that the restaurant was open until 15:00. it was 2:00 when I arrived, and there were still many delicious offers at the buffet. actually there were so many different types of dressed that I couldn't taste them all! what gave me a food was one of them plant chow mine! an Indian feedbuffet! as well as always, the normal standards that I love not disappointed, butter huhn, tandoori huhn, papdum, all were excellent! also loved the cheerful and carrots halwa dessert. I will return definitiw after passage to india if I happen to be in the neighbourhood. otherwise it is a destination from san jose to mountain view, about 20 mi."

"We ordered take out dinner for 2,Spicy butter chicken, rice, garlic naan bread, and an appetizer. For the price point, The portions were very small. The naan bread looked about half the size as others from videos I had seen on TikTok. It didn’t seem any of the dips (chutney , yogurt) were included in the price of the meal, had to be ordered separately. Our total was about 65$ and were left still feeling hungry. I really appreciated being about to try food from different cultures. The atmosphere was very clean, however there was not one other customer in the store. The quality of the food was good, however the portions do not match the high price tag."

"I go to Jaipore often enough that they recognize me there. My Dad lives very close to it and the food is always delicious. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is attentive, warm, and friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. I love that the menu specifies vegetarian and vegan dishes from the rest of the menu and from each other."

"This restaurant is about eating to live. The food is nowhere near gourmet. Rather, it is standard staples of Indian cooking prefabricated and served for lunch, anyway on a buffet line. I adore Indian cuisine, but this food was not worth the calories in terms of taste, freshness, or anything else"

"Wonderful spicy food! Two of us went for Restaurant week, both ordered medium hot entrees. Her goat curry was just the right spiciness, and she enjoyed it tremendously. My chicken dish was just bit too spicy, but on request we were given a delicious raita which helped tremendously. The samosas and pakoras were good, as was the tamarind sauce/chutney, but the coriander chutney was watery and didn't have much flavor. The chai was delicious. We had the mango pudding and rice pudding for dessert. The mango pudding was very good, not too sweet. The rice pudding was not like the kheer I expected it had cinnamon and dark raisins in it and was extremely sweet. It was quite pleasant, though. Servings were generous both my friend and I have gotten at least two additional meals from our entrees!"

"My friend, Laura, hosted my birthday dinner at this new restaurant last week and we had a great time. – Thank you, Tom Sietsema! The pani poori was good — although I preferred it without the cumin water. Watch out – these one-bite appetizers are rather large! The tandoori chicken was excellent, as was the nan flecked with rock salt and cilantro. By the way, the outstanding raita comes in very handy! The parking situation is not great, but the restaurant is very homey and inviting, the prices are outstanding (two people dined for less than $40), and the staff are exceedingly attentive, knowledgable and helpful. Enjoy!"

"INCREDIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. ???????????????????? Azim (owner) hosted my little sister’s birthday and she TRULY made the experience incredible. Honestly, VERY GOOD quality and super authentic Indian food. You can’t find a better restaurant andbetter prices as well. Come here with your friends and family and you won’t regret it. Another thing I truly noticed wasthat it is VERY CLEAN. I walked in, and the air is just super clean and I actually really noticed that in here. Superincredible."

"This restaurant is my absolute favorite! Working nearby, I often stop by for their lunch buffet and occasionally for dinner as well. I actually have lunch here most weekdays. The food is unbelievably delicious, with every dish being fantastic, but the Dal Makhni is my top choice. The saffron rice they serve is also exceptional. What really makes this restaurant stand out is the service and overall dining experience. The staff is friendly and always try to remember your name and get to know regular customers. They're attentive and quick to refill your water as soon as it’s empty. When I talk to them, it’s clear they genuinely care about ensuring a great experience for everyone who comes in. If I could, I’d give Masala Spice 6 stars. It’s an outstanding restaurant, and you’re really missing out if you haven’t been here yet!"

"I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Despite it being nearly empty on a Friday night and us having made a reservation, we were thoroughly disappointed. The service was a mess – I had to ask twice for a glass of wine and had to go find the staff, who were lounging in the back, to get served. Our appetizer took 50 minutes to arrive, and it took over an hour from placing our order to being served, even though there were only three occupied tables. We had the Lamb Saag, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Dal Makhani – nothing outstanding, but not bad either. Getting the check was a challenge, and even after using the “pay online” feature, we were stopped in the parking lot by staff claiming we hadn’t paid. I showed them the e-receipt on my phone to prove we had. Overall, nothing positive about this experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously."
