"I recently found myself in a bit of a culinary predicament near Grand Central Station one evening around 9 pm. Most restaurants had already closed their doors, but luckily, I stumbled upon Joy Curry and Tandoor, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. As a food enthusiast, I was in search of a satisfying meal, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Despite the late hour, they still had a variety of options available for takeaway. I opted for the meal pack, which included two curries, vegetables, naan, and extra rice. Now, let's dive into the flavors. While I was pleased with most of the dishes, there were a couple that didn't quite hit the mark. The samosas and palak paneer, unfortunately, fell a bit short in terms of taste. They lacked the robust flavors I had come to expect from these dishes. However, the rest of the offerings more than made up for it.The curries were the star of the show. Bursting with aromatic spices, they tantalized my taste buds with every bite. The balance of flavors was on point, and the richness of the sauces was simply delightful. It was evident that the chefs at Joy Curry and Tandoor know their way around Indian cuisine. The portion sizes were also commendable. I found them to be generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The naan was warm and fluffy, the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavorful curries. The extra rice was a welcome addition, providing an ample base to enjoy the vibrant sauces. While the samosas and palak paneer may have fallen short, the overall experience at Joy Curry and Tandoor was a positive one. The delicious curries, generous portion sizes, and convenient location near Grand Central Station made it a great choice for a late-night takeaway. If you find yourself in the area and craving some Halal Indian cuisine, I would recommend giving Joy Curry and Tandoor a try. Just make sure to explore their menu beyond the samosas and palak paneer, and you're bound to discover some truly yum-worthy dishes that will satisfy your cravings."

This is NYC's best kept secret as far as Indian food is concerned. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The best Indian food in NYC.

Good food with great prices and lots of space inside to sit. The staff were very nice. I think coming earlier in the day would be better as the food is fresher.

Ate here every week from 2015-2018. Came back to NYC for holiday and the chicken vindaloo and palaak paneer is still as good as ever! The guy even remembered my family!Food: 5/5

I loved this food! It was $12.50 for the chicken tikka masala and one vegetable. They also gave free naan! It was so much food for a great price. I cant complain about anything!

We ordered this restaurant for our office, and it was delicious. Food was hot and tasty, there was plenty of rice and naan for everyone. We will likely order from here again very soon.Food: 5/5 View menu

This place was one of the absolute best Indian restaurants that we have ever been to. The lamb vindaloo, goat curry and chicken tikka masala were probably the closest thing I can imagine to actually being in India.Food: 5/5

There is no shortage of lunch spots in the Midtown area. As I periodically work in this area from time to time, I have slowly been familiarizing myself with the eateries in the area. One of my colleagues was heading to Joy Curry Tandoor for lunch the other day, and asked if I wanted to join them. Since I'm a fan of Indian food and had never been here before, I jumped on it and got excited to check this place out. Joy's setup is fairly simple, and similar to other quick service spots in the area. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by some tables, with the ordering/production counter towards the back. All of the food is pre cooked and on a hot buffet style station; think like Chipotle wher...
