"I was quite surprised by some of the reviews because I had an incredible sandwich there this past Thanksgiving weekend. We were in the area and stumbled upon the place while searching for lunch, and it was our first time visiting. I ordered the Le French Baguette, and I can confidently say it was the best sandwich I've had in over a year—perhaps even longer. I'm still thinking about it and might be becoming a bit obsessed! Everything tasted incredibly fresh: the bread, the ham, the generous slices of brie, the lettuce, and the tomato. Each ingredient complemented the others perfectly, and the Dijon mustard added just the right kick. Since it was made to order, it took about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I enjoyed it about 15 minutes after picking it up, and there was no sogginess at all. The portion was generous, and the price was very reasonable. Although we live in Manhattan, I will definitely be making a trip back there. I'm looking forward to it and hope they can maintain their high standards!"

I didn't have time to wait, so I couldn't make a purchase, but the French snacks, body soap, and even the chocolate brought back wonderful memories of France.

They never judge me for my inability to pronounce saucisson ; Love this place! I'm convinced they have their best croissants on Fridays, but really, you can't go wrong any day!

This charming and down-to-earth bakery is one I truly appreciate. When a place doesn’t try too hard, it feels genuine. Their canelés are absolutely divine; I ordered three and can’t help but wish I had gotten more. View menu

So disappointed. Paid almost $9 for the soggiest ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had—couldn’t even eat it. Whole thing just fell apart when I tried eating it. Was really looking forward to trying Le French Tart.

Usually good food, terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for a ham and cheese croissant which was somehow frigid. Rude cashier was upset that I didn’t want a -frozen croissant, then gave me another which was clearly blasted in the microwave to the point it was rock hard and inedible. Go to Brooklyn heights where they actually care.

Empty pastry, no filling (see photos). Was excited to try this based on their “best croissants” claim, but pretty let down. My apple pastry had no filling, was just a shell of a pastry. Took a couple attempts for them to get my order correct but I wouldn’t leave a bad review for that. The bad review is really for the empty disappointing pastry. View menu

Saw the sign and came in to check out the #1 croissant . Well, I thought it meant number one best , but it turned out to be number one worst. Please look at the attached photos and decide if you would call that a croissant. : As for the taste, well, I only gave it one bite before I decided baking soda is not my thing, not in a croissant.Baguette: I knew it didn 't look right, but I wanted to give it a chance to prove itself (against a baguette I got from an Italian bakery cross the street on next block . But it simply failed.

My husband and I were in the area visiting friends and when we walked by on a Saturday morning. They said we had to stop to try their croissants and I 'm glad we did. This place is literally no frills, but the croissants SLAP. Le French Tart Deli is the definition of Don 't Jude a Book by it 's cover . You can smell the fresh paisteries from down the block and once you take that first bite you understand. Crispy, flaky exterior and warm buttery interior. You cannot make a more perfect croissant. I think France would be proud lolI wish we had more time and appetite to try more food from the menu but I guess that means we just need to come back.
