"Came here for a weekend dining trip with a friend. From all the reviews I read of this restaurant on yelp I had expected it to be tasty and great service and that’s exactly what my experience was too. When we arrived to the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess and a couple servers then brought to the back side of the restaurant where it was more brightly lit with the large skylight windows which made the experience even better. What I liked about this room was that the early dishes were lighter and brighter like the sky and as we dine into the heavier and darker dishes the lighting in the room got darker as well, was a great transition overall. The server was very attentive and explained each dish and each wine pairing well. He was very down to earth and very easy to talk to. He made you feel right at home. From the menu there was a choice of the summer tasting, 3 course, 4 course or 5 course. Also the choice of doing 2 plates of the same course apart from the meat/poultry section or even do 5 courses of desserts if you’d like as what the server explained to us on the menu. Both my friend and I chose the 5 course menu, which ended up being way too much food for what we could handle. The portions are surprisingly generous! The foie gras was 6 ounces and so was the beef tenderloin. The chocolate souffle was very rich and creamy as expected. In my choice of dishes also included the duck egg which was fried on the outside with runny yolk inside which was great combo along with the next dish which was a lobster gnocci. Of the 5 plates, my favorite has got to be the foie gras! Large piece, very buttery tender, the side pairings gave out the flavor that much more."

"I was quite surprised by some of the reviews because I had an incredible sandwich there this past Thanksgiving weekend. We were in the area and stumbled upon the place while searching for lunch, and it was our first time visiting. I ordered the Le French Baguette, and I can confidently say it was the best sandwich I've had in over a year—perhaps even longer. I'm still thinking about it and might be becoming a bit obsessed! Everything tasted incredibly fresh: the bread, the ham, the generous slices of brie, the lettuce, and the tomato. Each ingredient complemented the others perfectly, and the Dijon mustard added just the right kick. Since it was made to order, it took about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I enjoyed it about 15 minutes after picking it up, and there was no sogginess at all. The portion was generous, and the price was very reasonable. Although we live in Manhattan, I will definitely be making a trip back there. I'm looking forward to it and hope they can maintain their high standards!"

"My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and was seated promptly. Since Burmese restaurant are rear in the area, we were really looking forward to this experience. While we weren't in a hurry, the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they pushed to have a food order at the same time. We choose to wait to order the food until the drinks were brought to us. We ordered the Burmese style beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces of the meat stews were nice, it wasn't spectacular! The stew meats were definitely not tender. If you enjoy tough meat, then these dishes are for you. Additionally, the Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor and in my colleagues words: "would not order it again". Also, soft drinks and iced tea and refilled complimentary. Given the rush and the below average experience, will not be going back. Given there their great Yelp ratings, there seems to be a lot of patrons that like it. Maybe we just attended them on a bad day or the normal Chef was not present that day..."

"The prices are quite high for what I found to be just average food quality, so I cannot recommend this expensive restaurant to anyone. The fries were overly salty, and while we also ordered creamed spinach, it was just okay. Additionally, the waiter charged us for two iced teas when we had only ordered one, and we were billed for four sodas instead of three. When I inquired about bread, the waiter replied that we would need to order it, unlike other establishments where it is typically complimentary. There are plenty of better steak restaurants in the area, such as Ruth's Chris and Capital Grill at Tysons, that offer superior food and similar prices. I would advise against spending your money here, as it’s simply not worth it. We won’t be returning to American Prime, and I suggest looking for other places that provide better ambiance and service, as this one was just average. "The food was enjoyable, but the service was only mediocre. After I received my soup, I had to wait five minutes for a spoon. When my meal arrived, I was left without a fork for several minutes. Dessert took more than 20 minutes to be served. My water bottle was never replaced or even offered to be replaced. I would have liked to order a glass of wine to accompany my meal, but I wasn't given the chance. With so many options in NYC, I don’t see myself returning here."

"Amelie has long been my go-to spot for gathering with friends over a glass (or two… or three) of wine. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and they really know their wines. Unlike many wine bars, there's no pretentious atmosphere here, which I really appreciate. The menu is constantly changing, adding a fresh and exciting element to each visit. The overall ambiance is trendy and European. I’ve consistently recommended this place to friends, and they always look forward to returning!"

The excuse was that there was a party of 6 that came in after our party of 3. Yet there were others that received their meals before us. I don’t think I will return. The food was mediocre."

"Food was pretty good. The salad flavors seemed a bit out of place, and didn’t really go with our bone marrow pasta and charcuterie plate. The lobster sausage was tasty but fell apart quite easily... nonetheless, we enjoyed it. They didn’t have the “unicorn Farts” beer on the menu, which was a disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the service I guess. My partner’s beer came out, my glass of wine came out minutes later. Then while there was still beer in his glass, it was taken away! The busser took it so fast, we didn’t have a chance to say anything. Then our waitress walked by and took my wine glass that still had a quarter glass. Fortunately, we were able to stop her. Dinner for was not including tip. Probably not worth the trek again..."

"Worst Dining Experience in NYC!!! . We had a reservation for 3 at 630pm. Hostess seated us along the rows of high tables with high chairs. We requested a regular dining table since some of them were vacant however they said it’s reserved for other guest coming in around 20mins later. It was hard to eat since the seats are very uncomfortable. They offered us a regular dining table however we already finished our meal, they said they had a cancellation. We were hoping to celebrate Mother’s Day and have the best dining experience but it was the opposite. Food served don’t taste great either even the side dish we ordered mussels and they gave us french fries on the side. The pork chop was bland and hard to eat. In comparison to the price, food and service value is below par than other French and Italian restaurant. Will not come back to this restaurant again."

"It all depends on what you are expecting when you go to Etta. If you want to hang out with friends to chat and already ate food at home before coming, yes it 's a nice place to do that I guess. If you are hungry and looking to be fed full, you might be disappointed. I 'm from a Mediterranean country myself and there 's no way an Italian would call this a proper dinner maybe just an appetizer. I thought the chicken dish labeled as order to the table for 44 bucks was going to be enough to share with my wife but as it turns out, I alone could have eaten it as the first introductory course before the main entree. So after we had our dinner there, we went out to find some real sustenance to complete the rest of our dinner. Calling this place pricey is an understatement. That 's what you get in downtown Chicago I guess."

"We went here for an anniversary dinner. It's the smaller version of the grand boucherie. The atmosphere and decor were really good. We ordered the onion soup, snails, hangar steak and lamb chops. Overall, I felt that their spice mix and taste was muchbetter than most other places and the quantity was very good. However, the meat wasn't really seared well. I suspect they don'treally use heavy cast iron pans And they cut off the lovely fat from the lamb chops but that's standard for most placesthese days. Why don't they ever ask you if you want the fat or not? I've added some pictures as well. The creme brulee fordinner was also very good! Overall, definitely a place checking out!"

"This review is for the restaurant Trattoria Fondi at the Bedford Village Inn. Trattoria Fondi has been operating in BVI since October 2022.My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. It was excellent. The ambiance is warm and comfortable. We were seated at a cozy table by the fireplace and given a card by BVI wishing us a Happy Anniversary.Our waitress was wonderful and attentive.The house made bread was fresh and delicious.We ordered the Gorgonzola Dolce so good! It was served with delicious crackers that they make in house along with nuts, honey and fig jam.I ordered the Verdi Amari (bitter greens) salad arugula, radicchio, fennel and perfectly supremed orange segments. It was very good.For my entree, I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Zafferano (saffron tagliatelle) with count neck clams. It was good but it tasted a tad bit salty for my taste and I wish the taste of the wine sauce was more pronounced. Perhaps because I was assuming it would taste more like a vongole, which it obviously is not.My husband ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara I would definitely recommend this as it was very good. Next time I go there I will definitely order this.The servings were appropriately sized for a multi course meal, so you can enjoy various items from the menu without feeling as though you've eaten too much.We finished with the Tiramisu, which was delicious!Thank you BVI Fondi for giving us a beautiful and memorable anniversary dinner!"

"When the meals finally came, my colleague received only three out of the four dishes we ordered. After some time, the waitress informed us there was an issue with the order. When my colleague's meal finally arrived, she could barely eat it because the meat was undercooked and overall not good. Throughout the meal, we had to seek out a server for basic things like more water. I wasn't impressed with my dish, either; there were only four scallops on my plate. Really? The final bill was $189, with around $16 in tax. They didn't have a traditional receipt system and instead brought over a tablet. The total came to $205, and I couldn't change the tip amount, which defaulted to 20% of the total including tax – this was quite misleading. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of our clients, so I voiced my concerns to the doorman instead. He mentioned the restaurant would be closing soon and that Tao was coming in, which I’m not sure is public knowledge. All in all, I was left very unimpressed. Goodbye, Opia!"

"This was my first time in Ardesia- I've lived in Hell's Kitchen for over two decades and was happy to discover this gem of a wine-bar off the beaten track. It has great ambience and a nice range of wines, cocktails and bar menu- all reasonably priced. We ate inside due to the humidity but the outdoor area looks lovely. I'll be back for sure."

"I visited this restaurant for the second time with a friend on a Saturday night. We enjoyed some tapas and a bottle of excellent wine from Bordeaux. The new menu was much better than before, with exceptional products. We tried the gambas and chorizo skewers, the frisee salad, the scallops, the beef carpaccio, and finished with a delicious chocolate cake. The service was as lovely as before, with attentive and professional owners working there. The music added to the overall great experience. We will definitely be back soon."

"They do not have any vegan option in the menu. Even the gaspacho that was the soup of the day wasn’t vegan. They offered me a plate with just side dishes which I refused and ended up eating french fries. They should know better as a NY restaurant.Comment related to Jacques Brasserie feedback: Being a French cuisine do not eliminate the need of accommodating vegan options. That are a lot of authentic french people that are vegan. One thing doesn't eliminate the other."

"Wowwwww dude. I am at a lost for words for the new tasting menu at The Lux at The Warehouse. So a-vant-guard. It?s very foody, very inventive, unlike anything I?ve had in a while. Going from lightest to heaviest I had one of everything and was full by the end. Valentina is one of the best servers I?ve ever had. Zack and Brandon are the chefs and they executed perfectly. It was like farm-to science class-to table. Lots of textures and flavors. This is a must try if you like"
