"Worst Dining Experience in NYC!!! . We had a reservation for 3 at 630pm. Hostess seated us along the rows of high tables with high chairs. We requested a regular dining table since some of them were vacant however they said it’s reserved for other guest coming in around 20mins later. It was hard to eat since the seats are very uncomfortable. They offered us a regular dining table however we already finished our meal, they said they had a cancellation. We were hoping to celebrate Mother’s Day and have the best dining experience but it was the opposite. Food served don’t taste great either even the side dish we ordered mussels and they gave us french fries on the side. The pork chop was bland and hard to eat. In comparison to the price, food and service value is below par than other French and Italian restaurant. Will not come back to this restaurant again."

The steak tartare at this restaurant has significantly declined in quality. It lacks flavor and the traditional bread has been replaced with stale waffle fries.

it is a beautiful room and the service was in order, but the prices were crazy for what they get. the steak fries were $52 and it was an extremely average steak.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. My wife was pleasantly surprised and impressed. She really enjoyed it and even asked me where I had gotten the food from. View menu

I am French. The food was FAR from authentic French cooking. The quality is that of a sub-par bistro in France. The prices are unjustifiable. Perhaps their American dishes are better.

The restaurant is beautiful. Our server very kind and attentive. Unfortunately, we waited over 1 1/2 hours for our food. My son loved his but I think he loved the ambiance and food together. My lamb sausage was ok. My fish, under seasoned but still cooked well and tasted good. The Waitress was very apologetic. I can see how locals , not in a hurry like this place. All servers very nice. They did comp our sides and gave my son a complimentary cook book. That was really nice. We will try this place again. We were there on a Tuesday night. View menu

The space is nice and the food is reliable but not amazing. It’s always solid. The service is bad and more than the post COVID nyc server issue bad. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always the same takes forever to get service then impossible to get a check type of thing. Your wine will run out and be out and no one comes to ask if you want another type of thing. The space is great high ceilings etc so in this COVID era feels better than cramped restaurants. Also can usually get a last minute reservation which is telling but why I keep ending up here.

Staff was very friendly and mostly attentive. After we got our food, our waitress never came back until another waiter came by to check on us. My friend ordered another drink and mentioned we hadn’t seen our original waitress, had she been by we probably would’ve ordered more. After that, she then came by saying that she was going on break and another waiter would take over. Food was ok. Two of us got the beyond burger which was good but the bun kept breaking apart and kinda made the burger messy, toppings kept falling. Ambiance/ inside space, gorgeous. Pretty spacious.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
