"Bistro Aix (pronounced X) is a delightful artistic restaurant with superb continental and nouveau American and French cuisine and exceptional cocktails. I last visited 17 years ago on business and wondered how it would be. In a word, surpassing. We enjoyed the: mango tini: perfect tuna tartar: topped with complex, tasty sauce summer salad with rich mixed greens, berries, cheese and walnuts, topped with pan cooked salmon, truly exquisite, healthy and tasty pepperoni and hot honey pizza: surprising, amazingly delicious on a lovely crust. Service is first class. Lauren and Rosie were professional, friendly and informed. The room is charming with exposed brick pillars. The gorgeous (pictured) bar is award winning and cool. Smooth jazz music sets this apart as a touch of Paris chic in an artsy Jacksonville near downtown neighborhood."
