We have gluten free things like salad and ummm if it has a GF symbol we have it in GF. "I was quite surprised by some of the reviews because I had an incredible sandwich there this past Thanksgiving weekend. We were in the area and stumbled upon the place while searching for lunch, and it was our first time visiting. I ordered the Le French Baguette, and I can confidently say it was the best sandwich I've had in over a year—perhaps even longer. I'm still thinking about it and might be becoming a bit obsessed! Everything tasted incredibly fresh: the bread, the ham, the generous slices of brie, the lettuce, and the tomato. Each ingredient complemented the others perfectly, and the Dijon mustard added just the right kick. Since it was made to order, it took about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I enjoyed it about 15 minutes after picking it up, and there was no sogginess at all. The portion was generous, and the price was very reasonable. Although we live in Manhattan, I will definitely be making a trip back there. I'm looking forward to it and hope they can maintain their high standards!"

"We were seated on time and placed our order, but then things took a turn. Four share plates arrived within just 2-3 minutes of each other, leaving no room on our table. We were informed that this was due to their small kitchen and that dishes must leave the kitchen as soon as they’re ready. However, I don’t think that’s acceptable; it indicates a lack of proper management. We certainly didn't need all four dishes arriving within the first 15 minutes of sitting down. Isn't the essence of French cuisine about savoring and enjoying the experience? As for the food, the marinated calamari was overly vinegary and barely edible. It was so fishy that we suspect the vinegar was meant to mask that unpleasant taste, which should not be a characteristic of calamari. We received only five pieces of calamari, each no larger than a nickel. The anchovy and fennel special was a hunt for any trace of anchovies, and my husband joked that maybe they were hiding in the calamari to explain the fishy flavor. This was far from the enchanting evening we had hoped for. We left feeling unsatisfied and went around the corner to Frank's Cafe, where we enjoyed a relaxed meal with small dishes and dessert. Our romantic night felt rushed, with our entire dining experience taking less than an hour from the moment we sat down to when we left. Not cool at all."

"Impressive farm to neighborhood food, in a charming space with old world touches, and very good service. One member of our party of three was eating vegan. The restaurant staff worked with him to find vegetable dishes that could be served with sauces on the side. Not a hint of bother. Dishes we especially loved: butter lettuce salad with a dijon dressing, pomme frites with dipping sauces, parsnip soup, and the flank steak. These dishes and the others we had were all winners. Highly recommended"

"We had a great breakfast here! I will say that after we were seated immediately, we didn't have food on the table for well over an hour. This was genuinely difficult to manage with a hungry 2 year old in our party. I'm not sure if service is always so slow, because it wasn't particularly busy when we were there. Also, there were only a handful of gluten-free options on the menu, and our server was not interested in seeing if any simple substitutions could be made to make any other items GF (when they could very well have been GF anyway). But we aren't used to being well accommodated for GF menu items so this wasn't a huge bother. The food itself was fantastic! We got a yogurt dish with rehydrated basil seeds (fun! like big squishy chia seeds), some type of fish friend in a black rice flour, eggs with some potato-cod situation on the side all of the food was amazing and interesting. We left inspired to try cooking with new methods and ingredients at home. Would definitely go back. Plan this in as one of your fancier travel meals it's pricy, but not obscenely so."

"This little spot is one of the best kept secrets in the cities. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Even when you go in, it just looks like a regular neighbor bar that probably serves regular neighborhood bar food. Nothing could be more wrong. The food is surprisingly excellent and they have quite a range of different selections on the menu. All the food is good including such mundane items as hotdogs or the fried egg sandwich. The hotdog has a nice hardwood smoked flavor and the fried egg sandwich has a just a hint of subtle horseradish. Their Penne and Cheese is as good as any Mac and Cheese you'll find in the cities. For appetizers, you won't find any better than the sesame seed encrusted Tuna Tataki or the Fillet Mignon with gorgonzola. For dessert we always get the pistachio cheese cake with raspberry coullee. You can't go wrong here."

The cast iron chicken was both delicious and tender, while the vegetables were so tasty that my sister, who claims to dislike veggies, couldn't get enough of them. The elote Dutch pancake could quite possibly be the best use of fresh Olathe corn I've ever encountered. My steak was outstanding, and the German potato salad was delightful; I even enjoyed the leftovers a couple of days later!"

"I recently attended a business seminar at this restaurant and opted for the full multi-course food experience. It was my first time trying bone marrow, and it was delicious. The charcuterie board offered a beautiful variety of meats and cheeses. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and simply melted in my mouth. Our server was amazing and made sure we were happy throughout the night. Despite the challenge of serving a large group, the staff managed to make each person feel like a priority. I give the atmosphere 4 stars, as we were seated in the rear group area which resembled a conference room. Unfortunately, the internet wasn't working so we had to use our own phones. The menu could have been clearer, as some of us ended up ordering a dish labeled as 'Steak', only to receive a vegetarian option. However, they quickly corrected the mistake and brought us the tenderloin. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it."

"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"Benny's Bistro is the perfect spot for a romantic date night. We visited on a Friday and were delighted by the presence of a talented pianist. The food is exceptional, showcasing the chef's creativity with amazing flavor profiles. We started with the Mozzarella appetizer, paired with a delicious balsamic reduction and pesto. For our main courses, we ordered the Stroganoff and Mushroom Fettuccine—both were outstanding. The Stroganoff featured incredibly tender beef, and the house-made noodles in both dishes were divine. The mushroom caps were complemented by a dijon sauce that enhanced the flavors of the wild mushrooms beautifully. For dessert, we indulged in a moist and flavorful carrot cake, but the standout was definitely the Huckleberry crème brûlée. Oh my goodness, the crème brûlée was so rich and exquisite!"

This dish was definitely one of my top two favorites out of the four I tried. **Pommes Darphin with Maine Uni:** I felt this dish was overpriced, as it cost double compared to the other items and ended up being my least favorite. However, I still found it enjoyable. I was a bit confused about how to eat it, as it was tricky to cut. Is it supposed to be finger food? **Wildair Tart (Hazelnut Praline, Gianduja Cream):** Both the tart and the cream were delicious! I was unsure how to eat this dish as well, and when cutting it proved difficult, I resorted to using my hands. This dish was also tied for my favorite. **Panna Cotta (Morello Cherries, Olive Oil, Cream):** This dessert offered a fun mix of textures, with an icy top layer sprinkled with crunchies, followed by smooth cream. I was curious about the bright green color of the "olive oil" and asked about it, only to learn that it was actually fig oil. I was left wondering why it was labeled as olive oil on the menu."

"I had an excellent experience on steak frites night (every Monday). The meal consisted of three courses, and if I remember correctly, I opted for the chicken liver mousse, NY Strip, and some pungent cheese for dessert—all accompanied by a nice house red wine. There were other options available, but I was very satisfied with my choices. We sat at the bar, which had a cozy, home-like atmosphere. Our bartender was fantastic, and the service was attentive, with friendly smiles from everyone around us. The prices are comparable to Jeffries, but honestly, I love enjoying multi-course meals like this, and when we left, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the bill was.
