"I made a reservation on OpenTable and had to provide a credit card to secure it, which was a first for me in the Jacksonville area. I had lunch with friends at V Pizza and ended up with leftovers, so I called to cancel. I was informed there would be a $35 per person cancellation fee for our party of five, totaling $175. Despite this, we decided to keep the reservation. When we arrived at 7:30 for our Saturday reservation, the restaurant was mostly empty and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table to be set up for us. The service was decent, but I found the menu to be very unhealthy, fitting the Southern cooking style. I ordered the fried chicken thigh sandwich, which I found to be overly fried. Since I didn't enjoy the menu at their oceanfront location during a previous visit, I don't plan on returning. The cancellation fee shocked me, but the staff informed me it was company policy. Overall, I felt more like I was dealing with a company rather than a restaurant. I have my doubts about the survival of this establishment, given the poor treatment of customers. Just like SeaChaser's, which also closed due to similar issues, I suspect the owner's involvement is a factor."
