"We visited for our anniversary and the food was AMAZING! I was a little worried because the menu descriptions are scant and the prices are premium but I cleaned my plate happily. The flavors, including the pepper sauce they brought to the table, werefamiliar as Black people but also unique and refreshing. The meat was TENDER. I got the stewed beef with fufu and kachumbari. Mywife got the stewed goat with jollof rice and cabbage. We also got a side of plantains. The portions were very good. My onlycomplaints were that I ordered a drink early in the meal but it didn't arrive until we were just about to leave. In fact, weonly stayed longer to try to finish it. Also, probably more annoying was the flashing lights that blinded us every 90 seconds orso because of where our table was situated. They weren't on when we first sat down but it did make finishing the mealinconvenient. I'd still absolutely come back but probably for a special occasion due to the prices and the fact we have tofight through DC traffic to get there. I would definitely recommend checking them out."
