"Loved Chuy's!We were coming home from a week long winter vacation. We stumbled on Chuy's and actually didn't even know we were there! It was NYE and we just got in to Atlanta after driving all day. We looked at Google Maps for restaurants and saw On the Border which we are big fans of. We went there but there was no hostess to be found a quite a few people waiting. We left and decided to go to the Chevy's down the road which we are also big fans of.Turns out none of us can read cursive writing and Chevy's was actually Chuy's which is a chain I had never heard of. We didn't realize we were in Chuy's until we ordered our food and noticed it on the menu. No wonder I didn't recognize the logo or insanely colorful dining area. I felt like a kid entering Willy Wonka's factory for the first time when we opened the door. And we were happy to see a hostess waiting at the counter. Our server was Jeff and he was pretty great! We had ordered fajita's for two but vegan style (no meat, cheese or sour cream). He was nice and doubled checked if the rice and beans were vegan. At this point I still thought I was at Chevy's and was surprised they didn't have black beans. Once we realized we were at Chuy's I Googled it and found the rice and beans were indeed vegan (I should have just trusted Jeff and the kitchen). Which, I got to say, big thanks to Chuy's for not ruining rice and beans with chicken stock and lard!My youngest son ordered a couple of chicken tacos and my oldest had a big plate of nachos. Our fajita's for two was very generously sized and really, really delicious. The house made flour tortillas were killer! I actually have a tortilla press at home I've never used (Santa left it last Christmas over a year ago). I'm going to get that thing out and make my own flour tortillas now. They were so freaking good!We almost didn't end up here and when we did walk in the doors we didn't realize it was something different. On the Border and Chevy's are great but I think Chuy's might be better! Thanks to Jeff and everyone else working NYE. After a long day of travel it was a nice surprise to have what was my favorite meal of the whole trip. I will definitely keep my eye out for Chuy's when we travel. Thanks!"

"The food was really good! Service was interesting. Our server was new, so we give grace for that. Manager made a strange comment to us after going out of their way to verify our drink order, thinking new server misunderstood (they did not). We wanted virgin, spicy margaritas on the rocks. She came to tell us blender was broken (no blender needed for on the rocks). Then, shared they had asked server if it was kids ordering and laughed. We had to clarify, server was correct that we ordered alcohol-free. We were a bit stunned the manager would so flippantly assume that all adults want alcohol. Awkward to say the least. I will say-our virgin margaritas were delicious! Very strange to us that no regular bottle of hot sauce is available, and, their custom sauces tasted more like an enchilada sauce, not an addition to a taco. The biggest issue was the lack of bussing tables. A large party had clearly enjoyed the patio before us, and every single dish, old food, beverages, sat there for the near two hours we were having lunch. Not very appetizing. One of the cups tipped in the wind at one point, and we just sat there listening to drink spill. Felt lazy and unclean. We were almost sat at a table that clearly hadn’t been wiped, and then still needed to request that the new table we chose receive a clean cloth to it. Lastly, we found their religious prayers printed on silverware bag odd."

"Our visit was a last minute, slam on the brakes, jerk the wheel to the right into the parking lot, restaurant pick. We just wanted a photo of the name but due to the fantastically coordinated symphony of aromas, we decided to stay. Once inside, we were greeted swiftly and seated almost as fast. Our waiter/waitress (my apologies for not asking her/his/they’s preferred pronoun) Branin, was an angel sent from heaven. They brought our drinks in a blink, and took our order at the same time. Our queso and waters, chips, salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce came out at the same time. We ordered fajitas, mixed, because who doesn’t like chicken and steak and shrimp. Y’all when I tell you it was like a choir of cherubs singing to my tastebuds. The absolute perfection of the balance of spices in every dish was just amazing. I ate more than I intended and would have continued to eat if my jeans had not become far too tight. And the service… outstanding doesn’t even begin to describe it. Branin is a spectacular server. They went out of their way to make sure our experience was second to none. If their manager is reading this, they deserve a promotion. At least get them into management training! It would be a disservice for your company to not promote them! Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic experience. 10 outa 10 will most definitely be back!! My apologies for not getting a picture when we got the food but my nose, eyes and stomach would not be dissuaded!!"
