"Many years ago, when I was a kid growing up in Rego Park, Avellino was our local pizza place, and my mom would send me over their every other week or so to carry home a large pie for dinner. I haven't been there in about 30 years because I've lived inFlorida, North Carolina, and Virginia. I'm back in town and met two friends for dinner last night. One suggested Avellino, and Imust say, it was wonderful returning to a beloved restaurant. The food is still great and very reasonably priced. I had thegnocchi with pesto and bolognese sauce. Excellent, and I'm more than old enough to have a beer with dinner now as well. Myfriends enjoyed their entrees too. The staff there was very friendly and took wonderful care of us. It was an unexpectedpleasure to discover, in these uncertain times, that a gem from my past still sparkles as brightly today."

"Great value, service, and taste. Bake n' Brew is a place I've passed through and ignored. It's easy to miss this hidden gem. I wouldn't say Bayonne is the place to go for food, but small cozy places like these make you rethink that sentiment. The service was great, the young lady taking our order was courteous, helpful and a pleasure to speak with. She gave us plenty of suggestions and helped us navigate the menu. She was very receptive when changing our order from carry out to dine in which was much appreciated. Overall she was extremely attentive. The omlettes we ordered were were great for the price! 10 bucks for an omelet was perfect for what you get. You won't have a grossly overweight dish, the portions were perfect. The Cuban omelette was a nice variation which complimented well with the ingredients. Food was brought out in a timely fashion and were attended to promptly. The one are where it can be improved would be the iced latte. It won't be the best you've had but it'll do the job. The latte was made just fine I believe what may have been. Lacking were the beans used. Not sure what beans are coming to the party but don't expect to be blown away. Overall this is a hidden gem and a must try. It's a cozy design, although definitely not for groups more than 4 for dining in, but then again its not a restaurant, it's a Café. We will definitely be returning. P.S the quiche looks amazing however their limited to the weekends. Will be returning to try these out."

"Joe's Pizzeria in New York is well-known for offering some of the finest pizzas in the city. The crust is exceptional, although occasionally the sauce can be a bit thick and the cheese slightly sparse. Nevertheless, the pizza is delicious. "The rigatoni was delicious and tasted freshly made, just like the marinara sauce. At this particular pizzeria, it was clear that time and care went into the meal, rather than being a rushed effort. The staff was attentive and catered well to the customers, and the interior was clean. I would definitely return to Pizza Emporium in the future!"

"CedarLand is definitely finding a big hole in the wall. It is authentic Lebanese cuisine and they have some of the best falafels in the city. OMG the garlic tahini sauce that comes with her falafel sandwich is SO GOOD!! All the usual Middle Eastern vegan options are much too hummus, baba ghannouj, mjedra, tabbouli salad and more, but they also have these delicious cakes that are worth a try. The thyme za’atar pie and the spinach cake are vegan. Vegan options are clearly marked with two green stars on their store menu (see pictures). We usually do DoorDash delivery from here, but I have eaten there a few times. Many seats. The restaurant Ambiente is outdated, but in a good (family owner of small business)The staff are super nice and very good about what is vegan. There is a small food area inside with hard to find middle Eastern foods, such as Freekeh, Wulgur, Rose Water and more if you have a home cook (or like treats! This place does not get much online exposure, so please go this family owned by local small business some love!"

"2020 Feb, Saturday 5pm, party of 2. Only one register was open. There were people ahead of us, so we waited about 5 minutes to get our order in. 2 yeero plates (that came with 2 sides each) and 1 drink, we paid $28 (before tip). Place was clean. We sat ourselves after we placed our order. The staff brought the orders of the people who were ahead of us to their table. But for ours, they just called our order number and we had to pick it up from the counter. Then they brought the order of the other couple to their table that ordered after us. Hmmm? "Unfriendly staff. I was working as a fundraiser outside and was going to use the bathroom quickly and couldn’t find an open shop to go. Instead of greeting me as I walked through the door to the bathroom, they yelled very rudely at me in front of all their costumers saying I couldn’t use the bathroom and had to buy something. I told them I was working outside doing fundraising for non profits and they still yelled across the room at me I wasn’t allowed. I’m sure their food is delicious, but if the staff chooses to be that unaccommodating to fundraisers or kind people just needing to use the bathroom I don’t care how good the food is. It shows the character of the people GRK hires, or at least whomever was working today (5/18/23) in DC on F and 10 th street. Just wanted to share as I think it is important to provide feedback on a business specifically in how they treat people who walk through their door. Its not just about food they prepare its treatment of people. It’s all about approach and kindness. Didn’t feel that at all and left feeling very disrespected."
