I believe the manager was seating tables and he was so respectful and kind, like genuinely loves his job kind. The waitress wassweet, the meal was wonderful. "Ordered online thru door dash, I pick up food for myself. Get text food is ready go to restaurant have to wait to 10 min for someone to Even come to the front to help me was not busy! Get back to work which isn't but a mile away food is cold chips arestale! I try to call only to get recorded message push 2 to speak with someone and then automated system says goodbye and hangsup! Not good for business at all, have never had an issue with location but after this I won't go back! Why did I pay so muchonly to have to reheat my food"

"First off, a huge shoutout to the Carlos O'Kelly's team for running their 2/22/22 margarita special tonight. It seemed like everyone from the tri-county area decided to dine out, as they actually reached full capacity by 6:30 PM. The staff worked incredibly hard and stayed friendly and helpful despite the chaos. Well done! Now, onto the food, which was absolutely fantastic. Pictured is their signature queso, a must-try, served with light and airy chips. The salsa is fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the Enchilada de Monterey, a pulled chicken stuffed flour tortilla smothered in poblano cheese sauce, served with cilantro lime rice and black beans—truly stellar! Another standout was the Enchilada San Carlos: two pulled chicken enchiladas, one covered in a smoky Diablo cream sauce and the other in the creamy poblano sauce. The Diablo sauce has a nice kick, packed with mesquite flavor, and is simply amazing. Be sure to check out Carlos O’Kelly’s menu for these local favorites!"

"It has been years since my last visit, back when the restaurant was located in the mall. Our waitress was wonderful—extremely friendly and always smiling, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my steak fajita burrito was disappointing. The steak didn’t seem to be seasoned at all; it was quite bland and tough. The cilantro lime rice was also lacking in flavor, almost tasteless. I left feeling very disappointed and I'm not sure if I would return. It used to be really good."

"Worst experience we have ever had... The order was wrong from start to finish, booth table was not clean or ready for customers(us), waiter was very unprofessional in the entire experience, we asked for tea with lemon (no lemon), queso with beef(no beef), sirloin steak dinner with enchiladas 2 sides (steak was chopped up inside the tortillas), black beans were hard dry, fiesta combo (only got 1 the sides missing the cilantro lime rice) tortillas to all the main dish were dried out the tostada meat beans were as cold as the lettuce tomatoes.the plates were brought to sloppy with food sauce all over the plates which should have been wiped off before brought to the table. The waiter was constantly out of the area where we couldn 't get his attention or at the next table trying to get the phone number address from that customer who ended up leaving because he wouldn 't stop with all the questions. We did not tip the waiter after years of giving this restaurant our business most likely won 't return. He even stated to my husband that he wouldn 't honor the punch card we had because he didn 't know there was a such thing there was no management on duty to ask .... We have cashed in years of punch cards from several of the locations including St Joe Missouri but since they closed we had been bringing our business to Topeka location. To make matters worse this was a special occasion ...my 50th birthday...and I wanted a memorable experience but not this... We didn 't even attempt to stay for dessert..."

"Unmotivated staff slow service and a dirty restaurant. The restaurant was only 1/3 full on a Saturday evening but it took 10 minutes for our waiter to visit. On top of that there were five un-cleared tables we walked past en route to our table. While sulimultaneously there were three staff standing and talking to each other near the bar. At one point one of them was on a mobile device. The floors were unswept and the bar area was a mess. The food was decent. I enjoyed the street taco dish listed at the top of the menu. Our kids enjoyed their meals as well. It was our first time dining at a Carlos O'Kelleys location. We saw the advertisements during Hawkeye games so assumed it was a decent restaurant. However I was disappointed in my experience and do not plan to return to any of their locations. Now, I do fully recognize that we are in a labor shortage and it is particularly difficult for the foodservice industry. However companies in the service industry need to go out of their way to pay for the best labor as a bad experience in this case has turned me off to the brand likely for life."

"This place is pretty different than what I remember from when I was younger. I do not eat cilantro or anything with cilantro in it, and I remember a specific dish that was safe from having cilantro in it. I was told that the dish does have cilantro, and the waitress also warned me that the salsa brought to the table had it as well. She helped me out by substituting the type of chicken (fajita chicken does not have cilantro, but shredded chicken does).The waitress was super cool and patient and answered all of my questions. The food was also really good as well. My partner ordered a pasta (Pasta Diablo) and said it was great!Overall, this was a great experience even with my pickiness. Can't wait to come back! Dietary restrictions: A LOT of dishes contain cilantro, so make sure to double-check. Kid-friendliness: This place does have a kids menu and highchairs"
