"Great restaurant! A hidden gem. Openaire excels in every aspect. The staff is friendly without being intrusive. Everything here has a laid-back California vibe, from the cuisine to the dining areas. Valet parking is your best option. I highly recommend the brunch; it offers a delightful variety of dishes. Our party of three ordered three completely different plates, and everything was delicious. The flavors are remarkable and truly engage your palate. It's a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend it!"

"Seriously great food here. Servers were delightful even with such an insane brunch rush. It's a shame I didn't get my servers name he was so lovely and kind with us!!! Otherwise I would shout him out on here. I ordered the corn pizza as corn and cheese a pretty popular asian food combo and I am usually attuned to the taste of my culture it did have some latin American flavor twist to it with the sauce which was some sort of aioli. I will say it was a tad bit greasy, but hey its a pizza. Italian and oil goes hand in hand. My other friend got the French toast with fantastic toppings with something alike to a blueberry preservative, some nutty seeds and a MASCARPONE. Will say the MASCARPONE I have tried on other french toasts before were a bit more whipped, light and fluffy. This one was a bit more thick and more of a regular cream cheese consistency. Not mad though, it balanced the flavors very well but my friend wasnt a huge fan. My other friend accompanying me ordered the Loco Moco. I also found it peculiar that there seems to be an Asian cuisine twist on this traditionally Latin dish. I tasted a bit of it and it mightve been the best thing on the table. It had a perfectly season sunny side up egg, a hamburger patty cooked about medium rare, over some rice. there was a bit of dehydrated fried onions as well as fresh cut green onions garnishing the egg, and topped off with a soy GLAZE! not soy sauce... a GLAZE! i need the recipe for this supposed glaze cuz it was amazing. I don't even rlly like red meats that much or eat them on the regular, so it was very shocking to me how the flavors were very balanced. Very cute seating, we sat indoors but there is a very nice patio and a bar too."

"The service was very slow even though it was only two couples in the restaurant. The order arrived late, and the chicken was overcooked. The skin was so hard that when you cut into it, it flied all over the table,chair, and me. They tried to cover it with the sauce, but it did not soften the skin. The bacon was salty also."

"This place is awesome! I lived right down the street for over a year while it was open and never went there for anything more than a drink at the bar. Of course once I moved, I made the effort to stop in for a meal with a friend when I was in the Highlands again.Definitely try the Boar Fries, the Alligator Tacos and one of the Chicken Tacos. The food is unique, delicious and the vibe of the whole place is great. Sit near the bar if you like sports, great vantage point for the TVs.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an interesting spot in the Highlands off Tennyson"

"Celebrated my dads 74th birthday. Food was awesome; drinks were great! Noise level could have been a bit lower. Music is awesome but we couldn’t hear each other talk. We did ask to sit outside and waitress offered to turn down music, she’d have to ask the manager, she never got back to us on it. Other than that I would return but ask to be seated outside, music isn’t as loud outside."

"I had a reservation but had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table that wasn't at the bar. Once we were finally seated, the service was extremely slow. The loud music forced us to wear our AirPods to protect our ears. The food was terrible, I couldn't finish any of it. The queso was too watery, the rice and beans were overcooked and bland. It felt like the beans came straight from a can. To top it off, we were overcharged by $12 and couldn't correct it because we didn't receive an itemized receipt until after we paid. The mobile check out device only showed the total, not the individual items. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I do not recommend dining here."

"We waited for some time before anyone came to take our drink order. It was a Tuesday night so wasn’t too busy. After a server did come to our table he was very attentive and took our food order timely. It’s weird that the restaurant cuts the steak into slices instead of giving you the steak as a whole. The server warned us but still very odd and didn’t really like that presentation style as the steak doesn’t stay as warm inside. The steak was to be medium but it was mostly grey in color which is more medium well. The shrimp Diavolo had a pasty taste to it almost like the sauce was made from tomato paste vs tomato sauce. We didn’t care much for either dish much. For the price, I’d recommend other well known restaurants nearby. We didn’t feel the food justified the price."

"Our entire experience was disappointing, primarily because of the outrageous prices for their small margaritas. There were no prices listed, so when my husband ordered a regular margarita, it ended up costing $22! He then ordered a second margarita using a less expensive tequila (1800), and it was served in a half-sized highball glass for $21! They didn’t provide an itemized receipt, which felt quite shady. Given the high total, I requested a breakdown of the bill. We ended up paying nearly $50 for two margaritas! I wanted to assume this was a mistake, but now I can't reach anyone by phone. I won't be going back."

"There were plenty of parking. When enter I was welcomed by the hostess. Immediately took me to my table. However, I asked to be changed to a booth and without hesitation they accommodated me. The main dining area had the most beautiful ceiling. My waitress was Jessica. She was wearing a mask but you can tell she smiled and very friendly. I loved the bacon wrap ?. My main meal was good. For me the enchiladas was too dry but the steak make up the lack of flavor. I will return to try their fajitas because I seem a lot of people getting that."

"Went for lunch on a Thursday. The food was just ok. My issue was an exchange with a rude inappropriate waiter named Cameron. I ordered empanadas with beans and potatoes. On his initial check on the table after the food was delivered, Cameron offered/asked me if I wanted sour cream and guac. I said sure. On my bill, I noted the $4.79 charge for guac and $0.99 for sour cream. I didn 't realize it was extra, but whatever. I paid for it no problem. When he returned my card and the receipt, I said hey you may want to just warn people in the future that there is an extra charge for sour cream and guac . He proceeded to tell me uhhh you let me know when you find a place that doesn 't charge for them . I said well, there are places that don 't. I 'm not trying to get into this with you, I 'm just letting you know you should maybe say something ahead of time so there 's no confusion . THEN he says I 've never had anyone mention it before. I again said I 'm not trying to argue with you, I was just mentioning it. He AGAIN had a rude retort and then I just didn 't respond. Unacceptable exchange with a customer. I work in customer service. Idk why he felt like that was ok. Will not be back."

"This is one of the best combinations of a sports bar and cigar lounge in Washington, DC. The service is fantastic most of the time. Their signature chicken wings and fresh-cut fries are outstanding! "The ambiance and food were excellent. My work team of us) came here for lunch with a reservation. Food: we had the French dip sandwich, Cuban sandwich, and steak salad. My coworkers loved their sandwiches. My steak salad was good, but the ribeye steak was about gristle and fat (as they sometimes are). The part I could actually eat was delicious and cooked perfectly. I wish I had felt a little more satisfied at the end of the meal, though! The sandwich portion sizes were larger Service was inattentive at best. We were seated promptly but didn’t receive menus for at least minutes (after tables that came in after us). We ordered deviled eggs that never arrived. I asked for water that never arrived. Wait staff tried to give us the food and drinks of other tables repeatedly before ours came out. It felt like we didn’t have an assigned waiter and couldn’t get anyone’s attention when we needed something It’s a nice place, but I’m not sure if I would return, due to the service."

I had the steak and enchiladas and I was sooo happy with it the taste was great The steak was cooked right and I had the chicken enchiladas with It.. my waitress name was Emily!! she was amazing super Sweet and very attentive to us. "I had the best steak of my life at this restaurant! Corbin provided outstanding service, reminiscent of how it used to be in the past. The chicken was incredibly delicious, and the sopapillas were absolutely divine! We typically hesitate to dine out, but we will definitely return here! Just a heads up—avoid the kids' menu, as the food wasn’t great. The prices are on the higher side, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else! As for kid-friendliness, yes, it is accommodating for kids, but the kids' food left much to be desired. Everything else, however, was fantastic!"

"I had a horrible experience with Kitchen and Kocktails on 7/17. I went with a friend to celebrate my birthday. Wish I would have went somewhere else. Bad from the moment I walked in. The hostess had a really nasty disposition. They set us at our table shortly after our reservation time at 7pm. My friend and I conversed and by the time we looked up it was 7:30. No one EVER came to our table, not to even flip our glasses to bring water. We noticed other patrons that came after us already eating. I flagged someone down that was walking past us and she explained that they forgot about us as they were changing shifts. One of the biggest issues I had with that was, no one was considerate enough to even check on us and see or mention to someone else that we were just sitting. Now onto the food, I’d say it was average. I can’t attest to the cost as I didn’t pay for it. The lamb chops were good, but the Mac and cheese was kinda dry, the yams were good enough, and the greens were good. The drink was good, but they were sold out of what I actually ordered(which I’ve heard always happens). Also; In my mind, maybe it would not have been sold out had we not waited 30 minutes before being ever serviced. The service overshadowed everything for me. I had plans on returning next week to try other menu items, but I don’t think I will now. The food was not worth it in the end."
