Go here also for their night life and the dj always has the newest songs and the employees make you feel like family! Also bottle and drink prices for the bronx are super affordable. "I pass this restaurant all the time. On this day a friend invited me to Jazzercise so afterwards I stopped in after Jazzercise to see if I could grab a bite for dinner. I was very pleasantly surprised; while it was a very big location it was cozy, clean and light. The food looked fresh and appealing. When I asked the young lady how much for dinner she stated $11.00. I said in that case I will take 2 I will have one for tomorrow. There were about 6 or 7 meat choices. I selected baked chicken for one and stewed chicken for my other. I also selected to put yellow rice and pinto beans for one, and yellow rice and black beans for the other. I was so excited to get home and shower ? from working out and be able to enjoy one of my meals that I left my cell phone. I got home, showered and was about ready to dig in when I realized it's quiet I haven't heard any pings for messages from my phone. I was looking all around the house, upstairs downstairs, and went back out to the car. NOTHING!!! It now hits me I must have left it at the restaurant. I throw on something more decent to go out of the house. I get to the restaurant after almost two hours. I walk in and the young lady immediately says you left your phone. Let me tell you she made my night!!! I could have kissed her. People don't always do the right thing! By the time I get back home my friend calls and she says I was calling to see if you had your phone as someone from the restaurant went over to the Jazzercise studio before the instructor left and told her someone left their phone in the restaurant. The instructor started to call around trying to find out who left the phone. I informed her it was me but I'd already gone back to pick it up. While the food was very good at the restaurant I feel the honesty and respect of the workers are incredible and that will definitely have me patronizing this restaurant every chance I get!!!!! ?Kid-friendliness: While the dining area isn't very big, it's welcoming to everyone especially families.Parking: There is some parking in front but a lot more parking on the side of the strip of stores."

"I quite enjoyed the food for a place we randomly walked into. But why $6.24 for a few pieces of lettuces and tomatoes? It was the size of a small side dish (wish I took a pic of it) that came with the chicken stew. At least bother to put a few avocados slices? Oh and note that 18% gratuity is automated included. All in all, solid homemade food but unhappy with how they charged. Not sure I’d return because of it."

"This is my second time here and they are consistent for bland food! I wanted to give them a try again because I might have visited on an off day with the kitchen, No! Still no taste, bland, and uncooked (especially the chicken wings). The drinks arethe most horrible thing you’ll experience. It felt like a 5 year old added things together and called it a drink. The serviceis slow even if you’re the only ones in there and the food takes a while to come out. How? We were the only people in there,so why was service so delayed? If you don’t have a Spanish speaking person in your group so not go because the waiters onlyspeak Spanish and the bare minimum English. I do not recommend this place at all!"

"I had the worst customer service experience at El Caldero Restaurant Sport. When I placed my order, someone else arrived and was served before me, as if I didn’t exist. The cashier seemed unaware of me and continued to attend to other customers ahead of me. I waited for an hour and a half just to receive three whole chickens. It felt like the staff favored certain customers they knew while ignoring others. The experience was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling I was treated unfairly. The menu options were overshadowed by the poor service."

"Food is not what it used to be. Quality has definitely diminished. I've given it various chances and have been consistently disappointed. Got fried chicken chunks and despite them looking red from all the paprika powder, they were bland and stale. Tostones might as well have been plantain chips; thin and hard. Someone in my party ordered a mofongo and it was super dry. Really disappointed because it looks like they changed cooks or something."

"The quality of your experience at this restaurant largely depends on whether you're dining in or getting takeout. Eating in can be a bit uncomfortable, especially on karaoke nights when the noise level can become overwhelming. The bar area in the back is also quite small. That said, the five stars they've earned are well-deserved, particularly based on a large catered order and several takeout meals. The food is exceptional; the pernil was juicy and tender, not swimming in oil and grease like many other places. The spaghetti was another standout dish—many guests at my event had never tried it before and are now hooked. This is definitely my go-to Spanish spot for Castle Hill and the surrounding areas."

"this is tHE SPoT ! after smeating plants all day, i ordered from here and was blown away by it all. i was starving and the food from here is amazing! the mofongo i ordered was so fresh, i had to stop mid way to leave this review !! literally .. the plates were stuffed beyond the limit .. the plantains in the mofongo were hand smashed, the rice is delicious and the beans to go with it were just as good ! excellent seasoning... restaurant wise , no wait time , easy fast pick-up and the order was ready when it said it would be, friendly staff, the price is super accurate and affordable, i love this place !!"
