"I am not one to complain.. but I have never been this dissatisfied with my food before. We have been anxiously awaiting getting El Loro for dinner all week. We placed a to go order around 5:20pm and when we showed up there was maybe 3 cars in the parking lot. We ordered our food to-go tonight as we wanted to go home and relax. Our bill was $45... we ordered sides of rice because neither of our meals came with any. It was quite a bit extra for the rice.. we started to eat andrealized the rice WAS NOT COOKED. It was beyond hard and crunchy with no flavor at all.. I ordered a burrito with steak, chicken, and shrimp.. all of which were dry and flavorless. There was supposed to be sautéed peppers, onions, andtomatoes in my burrito as well.. there was maybe one tiny piece of onion. My husband ordered a steak burrito. He had a ton of veggies that tasted like nothing except old oil. Not to mention he maybe had 3 tiny dry pieces of steak. We endedup having to throw all of our food away and order from another place. Super disappointed!!"

"I absolutely loved this restaurant. I ordered the Quesabirria and I must say, I am very particular about my Birria. The dish was delicious, and by adding a bit of salt to the broth, I was able to enhance the spice flavor even more. The extra hot salsa served with the dish was a great addition. The meat and cheese inside the tortillas was fantastic and there was plenty of it. The dish also came with rice, which I poured the leftover broth onto, and it was just as excellent. The restaurant has a fun Mexican decor, despite the name not quite matching, and the food was amazing. I tried a huge quesadilla with steak, chicken, and shrimp for a reasonable price, and the choriqueso dip was top-notch. The salsa was flavorful and fresh, the chips were crispy and warm, and the service was very attentive. From the outside, the restaurant may not look like much, but I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a great experience."

"We ordered the Queso Fundido, the Molcajete and the Campechana. The Queso fundido was very greasy, we tried spooning out the grease, we tried getting the napkins to soak up the grease we finally sent it back, it was gross. Now the Campechana was delicious, there was plenty of sea food and the brooth was good. The molcajete was our favorite. There were 4 of us and we all had plenty of steak, shrimp, chorizo, grilled Cactus, queso fresco and chicken that were perfectly cooked. It came with rice and beans. DELICIOUS, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ?"

"Small and quiet restaurant... wanted to try some authentic Mexican food so pass by there.friendly server , I believe she is owner too. As didn’t have much ideas about Mexican food she recommended us some dishes. The best thing is she had vegetarian dish too as one of us is vegetarian. Hope this place will do good in future and will have more traffic. Good luck and thanks for making our time"

"After a day at the Bernheim Forest we were hungry! My nephew, the local, recommended this place and I was down for Mexican food. It was okay. We were seated quickly outside (well, we just grabbed our table and told them we'd be sitting there). They were quick to bring plenty of chips and lots of salsa. However, the salsa could have easily been something just poured from a can. It was lacking........ everything. It was..... tomato sauce basically. But we were hungry so we ate it. I ordered a combination plate with a taco, enchilada, rice beans. My Mom had a taco, tamale, and enchilada, rice beans. My nephew had the chorizo chicken (something made up I'm sure, but he likes it). Everything was good (the rice could have used more seasoning)! The tamale had way too much masa or dough for those of you who are unfamiliar (this is coming from a tamale connoisseur; a family that makes tamales). The staff was attentive. My niece ordered a sopapilla. It was flat, not like we're used to. Ours are fluffy from puffing up in the grease. It also had sugar, cinnamon and whip cream on top then cut in fours. She liked it. Overall, the food is good. It also seems to be a popular spot as people were coming going the whole time we were eating."

"This place, oh my gosh, a hidden jewel! First of all, I love the ambience. There are huge paintings of Charros, (a special Mexican cowboy culture, look it up it's beautiful), on the raw brick walls, and not only main floor seating but upstairs and downstairs as well!!!! We were seated within minutes after being greeted by the lovely owner. Now the food. Never have I had such a wonderful molé and pasole! Yes, even though serving were ample, I ordered both because I couldn't decide and I am so happy I did!!! Leftovers for at least 3 meals of the best tasting, freshly made dishes. The molé had a deep earthy chocolate flavor that was the perfect flavor and texture. The pasolé had a great kick but was a good slow burn not so spicy it made your eyes water! Last but not least. THE MARGARITAS!! Perfection. They make them from scratch. I am a bartender and I absolutely hate margarita mix. They knock out these perfect margs from the simplest ingredients, and they are perfect. Prices are fantastic too-on everything. I guess I also need to add a few words about service!Service was non-obtrusive yet there when we needed it and extremely prompt delivery of everything. Go here. Don't walk, run! Get a pitcher of homemade margaritas, some drool worthy food, and have a wonderfully delicious time!"

"If I could, I would give this place ZERO stars. I'm not sure if these other reviews are fake but the food and service was not good. I started off with the queso fundido chorizo and there was not enough cheese. I also ordered the combo #2 which was a taco, quesadilla and an enchilada all with beef. The taco was alright, the meat was very dry and the tortilla tasted stale. The quesadilla barely had any cheese and no meat. I couldn't even eat the enchilada because it smelled like the elephants at the zoo and did not taste good. The waiter also overcharged me on my food even though the menu clearly states the prices. It was a waste of my money and I will never come here again!!!"

"Great food prices. I had the fajitas Texan which had steak chicken shrimp. My friend had chicken enchiladas. The guacamole was fresh delicious. Complimentary tortilla chips with the definitely homemade salsa was excellent as well. Strawberry margaritas on the rocks was also delicious. Friendly wait staff. Other than the lights being fairly bright, definitely recommend."

"Was really looking forward to eating here because the menu looked great. The food ended up disappointing and one entree was inedible. Started with the lobster bisque and and their version of the Moscow Mule but with tequila. Both were fantastic and we were off to a great start. Then it went downhill. The queso appetizer came out with the soup instead of before it. Thatâs not a huge deal but trying to eat both at the same time was awkward. Biggest problem is the queso wasnât melted where you could dip chips into it. It was more like a solid block of mozzarella and we were literally cutting it with a knife and fork to eat bites of cheese. Ended up leaving of it uneaten. We are not big complainers and let it slide. I had the pompano fish which was good, but didnât realize ahead of time it was a whole fried fish. Again not a big deal and it did taste fine but frustrating because I specifically asked how it was cooked. The major problem was the fried lobster. down the drain because it was inedible. The lobster had cooked up to what could be called lobster jerky. I estimate all total we got about a tablespoon of lobster meat once we pried out what scraps we could from the shell. Got more lobster from the soup. Maybe fried works when not over cooked? Mentioned it to the waiter and he just blew it off. We were in a hurry to see a show so didnât push it further."

"Service: Tere was outstanding. She was attentive, patient, and accommodating with my daughters’ orders, which made our dining experience truly enjoyable. Food: As first-time visitors, we had a hard time deciding on our meals! We ended up ordering appetizers, dinner, and dessert. The taquitos with salsa were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly tasty. The guacamole was fresh and perfectly garnished, allowing the avocado to take center stage! The bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with crab meat and cheese, served with a chipotle aioli dipping sauce, was absolutely fantastic! My husband tried the Coctel de Camaron y Pulpo and the fish ceviche. He said everything was spot on, generous with seafood, and bursting with flavor. I ordered the Filete a la Diabla, and the red sauce was a delightful explosion of flavor! My daughters couldn't decide between fried ice cream or churros with ice cream, so we got both! They were equally delicious, though I was too full and just enjoyed a cup of coffee in their lovely Talavera mug. Overall, this place deserves 5 stars. I can't wait to come back and try something new, but I highly recommend the Filete a la Diabla. I may not be the best photographer, but I wanted to capture the beautiful presentation of our delicious dinner at Bahia Grill."

"Found this place because a customer and I had to take a look at a 65 C10 he was thinking of buying. Due to the wait, we got lunch in the city of Rome, GA. Customer found this Mexican place. Reminded me of an old style Texas Restaurant from the 70's. Service was average and the wet steak burrito that came out was large. The food was average, meat was not seasoned and/marinated. Just Ok. I am from the West coast so I don't understand why certain Mexican restaurants have to change thier taste of food for the people here. You can tell it's predominantly white area here, still no reason to change the taste lower that authentic taste. C'mon brothers and sisters make it like in Mexico!!!! Man I miss the West Coast Mexican restaurants they kill it and have you begging for more. This place is just MEH!!! Oh chips and salsa was that cheap thin stuff. No No No."

"After a long day at Disney, I was craving some Mexican food, and this place did not disappoint! The salsa was fantastic, and the BBQ chicken salad was tasty and well-prepared. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the nachos were incredible. I understand that many places on the West Coast don’t use much cheese, but as a Georgian boy, I still wanted to indulge in some cheesy goodness! Thank you!"

"the wings were so phenomenal i?ll be coming back for that alone. so much sauce i was dipping the table chips in it. amazing. fresh chips, delicious salsa. way too expensive for just a regular resturant. service was alright. the margarita was good, butdon?t expect to order more than 1 because the only time the waitress ?stopped by? our table was 20+ minutes after the foodarrived, and she just asked ?all good?? as she was walking by. will definitely be coming back for the food but maybe after anice pay day."

"My brother recommended this place to me, but I think this will be my first and last time eating at this restaurant. I tried to place an order for my family using a third-party app called Kaviar. I ordered an enchilada combination plate for $12.99, a carne asada burrito for $13.99, and 3 ground beef crispy tacos. However, when I went to pick up my order, the price had increased from $46 to $65. I questioned the manager about the price difference, and she explained that the prices were higher when ordering directly from the restaurant. I found this confusing, as the prices on the app were cheaper. The tacos I ordered were soggy, but my friend enjoyed his burrito. The chips were stale and lacked salt. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant."

"We try our best to give this place a chance after constant bad service. It 's close to our house, but honestly I will never support this restaurant again. I just called to place an order for delivery, 2 tortas and 2 drinks, then the woman tells me that we are blocked from getting food delivered. And I 'm so confused and ask her why? She proceeds to tell me there 's a note that states we made a big order and dejan la comida . As in we didn 't collect our food/left it behind. Iasked her when did this happen since we ordered last week the same thing and we got our food. She couldn 't tell me when or any further explanation. I 'm seriously so tired of their attitude, we have never ordered more than 2 things and wepick up our food most of the time, and almost every single time these women working there have such a stank attitude. Most of the time it 's the night shift women we have issues with. The only time we ever canceled an order was almost 2years ago.. we were coming back from from trip and ordered a bunch of tacos and drinks, I asked the woman how long it would take, she told me 30 mins. We got home and an hour passed by and we didn 't get our food. We live 5mins away so Icalled and asked why it was taking so long and we can just pick it up if the delivery guy was busy. This was in the evening and the woman got annoyed and yelled at me saying they were super busy and it was going to take a while. It wasabout 1hr and and half since we had called in the order.. we didn 't get more than 10 tacos. She proceeded to hang up the phone. I called back and told her we didn 't want it any more. 10mins later the delivery guy came and I apologized tohim and told him he needs to tell the woman that sent him why she sent him because I had told her we canceled our order. BUT the weird thing is, we have ordered from them a few times after that, even though we try to avoid them.. Trying tosupport local businesses here but what can you do when the workers are giving such horrible cus"

"We have been supporting this establishment for almost 10 plus yrs now but never felt disrespected the way we did today. We went to have dinner this evening (me my wife and my 2 kids) my 4 yo daughter who has some GI issues and doesn 't really eat much there (due to lack of options for her) had her own food with her to eat so the rest of us can sit down and eat. Rather then accepting the business from 3 people they asked us to leave stating no outside food is allowed. We explained the reasons why we had the food with us and that 3/4 will be ordering but they declined our business and took the menus off the table after we were already seated. Not a good look for what we once deemed as one of the best in the area. Perhaps a quick thinking or insight as to why somebody would bring their own food to a establishment been helpful but alas! Needless to say we will never step a foot in that restaurant."

"This used to be my favorite independent Mexican place in Rock Hill. Unfortunately things have gotten pretty bad. Service is slow to non-existing, with drinks having taken 20+ minutes the last several visits. Alcohic drinks are light on the alcohol, to the point where the Margaritas taste like they don't have any alcohol in them. 30 to 40 minute before your food order is taken. And then they have been out of several items on the menu the last three visits. This place used to be a hidden gem. Unfortunately it has gone waaaaay downhill and I can no longer recommend it."

"Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. When my family and I arrived, it felt like they didn’t want to serve us simply because we didn’t speak Spanish. They insisted on a fixed Mother's Day menu that was more expensive than their usual offerings, charging $50 per adult and $25 per child. After we were seated, we waited for 30 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. We noticed that a Spanish couple had only waited 2-5 minutes before being attended to. Frustrated, we decided to leave. We later dined at another Dr. Colombia location in Nanuet, NY, where they didn’t try to inflate prices on Mother’s Day and offered their regular menu, which had a much broader selection. Overall, we were thoroughly dissatisfied and won’t be returning. Thanks for nothing!"
