"We made a reservation for 8:30 for my brother 's birthday and arrived at 8:27. When we arrived, I gave the name of the reservation and the time. I was told by the front of house presumably the manager that they were running about ten minutes behind and that we were early. The manager then suggested that we go take a walk. I was turned off with this response for a few reasons. Firstly, there was no apology on behalf of the management. Our party completed understood that it is possible for a restaurant to need a few minutes to clear a table. But, it is not acceptable for the management to state that being early is a reason for tardiness on their end. Three minutes early is not a significant amount time to include in reasoning for a table not being ready. Apologize and own the scheduling discrepancy. Secondly, it was extremely rude for the manager to suggest that the solution to this situation was to take a walk. Normally, a party is offered to sit at the bar and wait. Yet, we were told to walk outside on a windy night in the middle of November. Thirdly, there was no proper solution offered to alert us when our table would be ready. There was no offer to confirm our phone number to call while we were on our suggested stroll down Main Street. All of this occurring on a reservation where I clearly stated this was for a special occasion via Resy. Eventually, we decided to have dinner elsewhere where we were seated promptly and treated like properly paying customers. I wish I dug a little deeper into the reviews on Yelp where service ! is clearly noted multiple times as a weakness. There are many places to eat dinner while visiting. Feel free to skip this one."

"Update:Following my initial review, I experienced an unwarranted series of discourteous emails from the establishment's owner. In light of this unexpected backlash to my constructive feedback, I feel compelled to amend my rating to a mere one star as a cautionary signal for others who might share similar critiques. With a culinary history that includes dining at numerous Michelin-starred establishments, including esteemed locations such as Eleven Madison Park, Le Bernardin, and Daniel, I am well-versed in the high standards set by the Michelin Guide. While these mentioned venues represent the apex of fine dining, I firmly believe that any establishment vying for recognition within the Michelin system should, at the very least, adhere to the fundamental expectations of a one-star Michelin restaurant. My recent interactions, coupled with my initial experiences at this venue, have led me to conclude that it currently falls short of even a single Michelin star's requirements. I urge potential diners to approach with caution when considering this establishment.Original review:I appreciated the flexibility in adjusting my reservation time, but there were several concerns. Despite a seemingly spacious and uncrowded restaurant, we were seated sandwiched between two couples. Perhaps other seats were reserved, yet it seemed we could've been placed somewhere more suitable.A bigger issue was with our first appetizer—the oysters. Every oyster contained fragments of shell, which considerably hampered our initial dining experience. We found ourselves either spitting out shell pieces or unintentionally crunching on them. Moreover, I noticed a lack of attentiveness in service standards expected from a Michelin-rated establishment. We weren't offered fresh cutlery or plates between courses, and our drinks, particularly the sparkling water, weren't refreshed. Even though we mentioned being in a bit of a hurry, the service felt sluggish and inattentive.I left a three-star review based on my understanding that this was a Michelin-rated restaurant. Otherwise, the food was commendable and would merit four stars on a regular scale. Let me know if you require further elaboration."

"Disappointed: Four of us dined there last night, and walked away very unimpressed. We each ordered an appetizer and four entrées, and a glass of wine ahead of time. The foie gras and escargots were nice. The imported French cheese plate had a Manchego, a Comte and another goat. Manchego is from Spain and the goat cheese was not French that we could tell either. You would expect a nice double cream, etc. These seemed like Sam’s buying club bought cheeses. When we asked the waiter. he really just shrugged his shoulders. We also also ordered the steak tartare. House grind good, but Very bland there should’ve been some seasoning mixed in with the meat. As for the entrées, we ordered a beef Bourguignon, which was the best of all four entrées. The mushroom Tajine, which was just used to serve the meal. It was not used to cook the meal in as customary. This dish lacked proper seasoning, and missing walnuts. the brie cheese they did put in should have had the rind cut off. I ended up with strands of rind in my dish. I did not finish it. We also ordered the cassoulet which was pretty clear they used canned beans, the duck Confit was not confit but roasted. It was served with a sausage that was std didn’t even ask or see the pork belly. . And lastly was the chicken airline breast. The Cremini mushroom demi glace, did not taste homemade but very familiar to a canned soup. I’m not happy having to give this review, but after spending over $300 on this dinner, I expected a better meal. One of our dinner guests that evening was a chef so maybe that didn’t help?"
