"This was my first time at The Palms, so didn’t have many expectations. We were seated ahead of our reservation and our server(s) were very attentive—maybe too attentive? We got wine, appetizers, salads, and main plates, and all that took 45 minutes. Prompt is nice, but it felt like they were trying to turn our table and get us out as fast as possible, when in fact we were out for a birthday and wanted to go slow and enjoy the evening. The food was much better than expected—in fact, this is the only thing that’d bring me back. The ambiance felt like a fancier-than-normal catering place; live music (well, tracked) was fun but extra loud so it was hard to have a conversation. Decent place, but probably wasn’t the best for a quiet birthday date with my wife."
