"Went for an anniversary dinner and arrived at were seated properly but that was the very last thing that happened promptly. The restaurant was not busy but we waited for about minuted before we were given water. Another few minutes and a waiter appeared he took our champaign everything seemed fine. We shared an appetizer and it was served within about minutes which was fine. Except that while we were still finishing a bus person took our plate before we even knew what was happening. Next course, a gazpacho and salad took another minutes so not sure why the hurry to take our appetizer. Then we waited and waited for a shared plate of grilled salmon—not complicated. At the waiter came and said our dinner was coming out. At I spoke with the manager—who apologized and said he would let me know what the problem was. At as we got up to leave without our dinner he brought our dinner and said the kitchen got “slammed” which was total BS since several tables that came after us had received their dinners. This place employees young in experienced staff and does not provide adequate training on proper procedure to provide honest respectful service. The manager is totally unable to manage the place and does not have a clue how to interact with customers. He offered to “take the salmon off our bill” which was grant of him since we never ate it. If you are looking for respectful, quality service I recommend you eat someplace else."

"I have been going to Molly 's for years and have been very disappointed with my last 2 visits in December. With the increasing costs, Molly 's is starting to give the impression that they are struggling via nickel and dimming their clientele. On the first December visit, the waitress was able to tell us about all of the cocktails and food changes but neglected to inform our table of the additional charge for using a credit card of 3% . I discovered it on the bill and then saw it in the small print at the bottom of the menu. With the 2nd December visit, we were asked to leave (as the next group of people had arrived). I understand the importance of turning tables. However, we had not received our check yet. We felt rushed to pay, and only after the bills were paid did we discover that our table of 4 had the 20% tip pre-added because we requested 2 bills. Nowhere in the small print at the bottom of the menu does it state that a table of 4 will have a 20% tip added to the checks. I 've been going here for years, and this is the first I saw of this approach for a table of 4. I don 't mind paying a 20% tip (because that is my standard tip). However, this was never communicated to us, and my friend paid the server an additional tip (40% tip total), not knowing this was Molly 's new policy. The server offered to return the cash tip and apologized and suggested we speak to the manager. We chose not to take the money back (as this wasn 't her fault), and not speak to the manager in fear of making a scene and ruining everyone else 's evening. On top of the hidden tip approach, we didn 't receive our 3% back for paying cash either. So we left feeling that Mollys is starting to nickel and dime their clientele with hidden charges. I 'm very disappointed in Molly 's new hidden charges approach to their loyal clientele vs. just being upfront and honest. As a result, I 'm taking a break from Molly 's for a few months to cool off and explore other fine dining options."

"I really wanted to love flower child finally, with such cute decoration, an amazing menu of healthy options (including lots of vegetable options,) and a charming name, this place seemed to tickle all boxes. while the inside of the restaurant was actually beautifully decorated, eating left much to be desired. I ordered her chopped vegetables salad with tofu and it was all very...average despite the flu of vegetables that the menu said the salat should have, it was definitiw very salat forward the other toppings were all stacked on top (and, even so, still saw pretty badluster) and the entire floor 3/4 of the salats was simply salat. the tofu was also quite bland. it was marinated, but it felt like the marinade just about 0.1 millimeter of tofu penetrated, and the rest of the disc had very little taste. Although $14 is a fairly average price for an salat in dc to pay, it felt much overprice for what was in the round a bowl salat and unseasoned tofu. which disturbed me most about the experience, however, was that not everything was fresh I found several pieces of devastated salat (of which some had become yellow, some of which were completely torn into a rotten slime) and two of the very few snowbows they provided had mold on them. I don't make a Bland salad, but I'm making an salate from the head that has the potential to make me sick. everything in all was flower child cute, but really did not live until hype. I could try one of their bowls if I have to come back, but honestly, I was quite disappointed by the overall experience and I will probably try to avoid coming back here."
