"With the name Pike Pint you'd expect a variety of fish dishes. Nope not here. We were looking for something simple like fish and chips. Not even in the menu. Beers were so not to our liking ordered something easy. Our waitress was super and she did her best. But when asked about the beers she hasn't tried any. When asked about the food we did order she had not tried that either. Training is so important for servers and part of that should be food tasting. Pricing is high. Very similar to other states like NY or Calif and it shouldn't be. The chicken wings that were ordered can with four slices of celery. Very disappointing. Perhaps training for cooks too. Don't plan on going back. Just isn't anything on the menu we were looking for. Atmosphere is nice though."

"Came in to grab a bite to bring back to work. There is plenty of street parking. Just remember to have some change As you need to pay in the meter. Arrived about noon and there had to be at least a dozen patrons in the store. They were appropriately staffed. They offer a wide variety of hot food items to be purchased for lunch. It's almost like a buffet behind glass and your able to create your own meal that they package for you. I came in to get soup (Italian wedding) and after seeing the display of food, I also had to get some sautéed broccoli rabe. The man that was helping me with my order engaged in friendly banter. He offered bread with the soup as well. The small soup and small container of broccoli rabe came to about $12. Both were delicious! Will be back for sure!"

"I have visited this restaurant around 2 times per year for several years. However, my most recent visit has left me hesitant to return as the food was average at best. The appetizers of baked oysters and fried mushrooms were decent, although the oysters were not very warm. The shiitake mushrooms were a generous portion. The crab cake entree was disappointing compared to previous visits, lacking in crab flavor despite being large. The grouper special was a bit tough and overcooked, likely due to the thin filet. The food was somewhat greasy. On the positive side, the view was nice and the waiter was attentive. I may consider returning to try the oyster stew and soups as well as opting for a meal of appetizers. It is possible that this was just an off day for the restaurant and things may improve in the future. Alternatively, it could be that the restaurant is cutting back on more expensive ingredients. I may give it another try in the future."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as stated and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"Table for four and we all ordered cheese steak sandwiches with crab fries. They use minute steak not chopped steak and they all came out with pieces of flat burnt meat in them. One was so bad it couldn’t be eaten. Mine was burnt but I was able to pick out most of the burnt pieces and make half of a half a sandwich. The fried onions that two of us ordered were in the sandwich but a very small amount. The crab fries were so salty they were in eatable. I would never eat there again and the cook should be ashamed to serve food like that he definitely had to see the burnt steak but served it anyway so that why we all decided not to say anything to the waitress. We figured it would make things worse with the cook who serves food like this. Price per person: $100+"

"The Reuben sandwich was overloaded with dressing and had very little sauerkraut. However, the tater tots were well-cooked and delightfully crispy. The bartender was great as always—very friendly and courteous. I will definitely come back for the bar atmosphere, but I'll likely grab a bite to eat beforehand."

"Will never go back to this restaurant. Went in on Friday night with a friend. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 waters. The server comes back with one drink and says they have to “find the liquor” for my friends drink. Okay, fine. Over walks the manager, actually maybe it said general manager on his shirt, can’t remember. Either way, he asks how we are and I told him we great! Just waiting on our water. He goes to get them, comes back, sits them on the table then walks away…saying Nothing as he sits them. My friend, tried to get his attn for straws as he turns away. He literally turns around, YELLS at us that he’s getting them, rudely. Then comes over and says “they were wet, I was getting new ones”. He NEVER said that. Then proceeds to talk to us, two women like we are kids all while telling my friend she yelled at him like a 5 year old? Two grown, very respectful women who had not had ONE drink yet all night. Even after she tried to speak with him privately, he still continued to be rude to her. So we got our food to go.Not to mention, a few weeks prior I went in on a date and the change machine wouldn’t work over by the games and the staff told me and other patrons they had no change."

"We were very impressed tonight when we stopped for dinner. We asked if the chicken strips have an egg wash because our 7-year-old has an egg allergy. We said that they did so so that we asked our daughter to choose something else from the menu. After our order, the waitress came back to our table and said the cook would make fresh chicken strips without egg and fresh flour, so there was no cross-contamination. We've never offered it in another restaurant. Our service was wonderful and the food was great! Thank you for this extra effort!!"

"I came in on a Saturday with a reservation for 5:15. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before having to ask a waitress for help. "While visiting this location, me and my guest was clearly eating and conversing when the hostess CAROL walked over and asked, do you need a box or are you still picking in your food? And I responded NO, we 're still eating! I gave her a pass for speaking rudely and attempting to rush us from the table even though we were eating our meal for only 15 20 minutes (WHEN I LOOKED AROUND THERE WERE TWO BOOTH TABLES WITH DIRTY DISHES PILED ON TOP OF THEM, WHICH WERE THERE BEFORE MY GUEST AND I WERE EVEN SEATED). Nearly 5 minutes later, Carol tossed a piece of paper on our table then said, here 's your bill I was immediately confused because neither one of us requested the bill, hence, we were literally eating!! So I asked her why did you bring the bill because it was not requested? I was perturbed when Carol replied, because remember when I asked if you guys needed a box and we talked about me bringing the bill? I stated she didn 't even offer us dessert therefore I 'm sure we didn 't request the bill. Carol then went on to offer us the dessert menu.. we both declined, paid the bill, got up and left. Needless to say she did not get a tip. This was only the second time I visited this location, AND MY LAST!!! The servers don 't bother to smile and they speak to customers with an unfriendly attitude. Do not bother to waste your time or your money at this location"

"First time visiting this establishment. Saturday evening. 815 pm. The restaurant is quaint with a fun atmosphere, good music, with signs and fixtures adorning the restaurant including the Fart Zone sign above the restaurant which is admittedly hilarious. +1 star for this. Unfortunately this is where the wheels fall off. Between a series of our drinks and food being delivered to the adjacent table multiple times, the lack of plates, and myself getting the wrong order (got chicken wings instead of pork wings but took it in stride), I don?t expect to come back to this place sadly. One and done for myself. Also our plates were taken by the busser when they was arguably at least another handful of fries left. When the food did come, I?d give the food a solid 7/10. Not to die for but not terrible either. I would chalk this up as Applebees Esque food but the next tier up. Way above par food but not somewhere you?d take your significant other out for a special occasion. Please note though like the picture shows you are hit with a 3% service charge here if paying by card in lieu of cash due to ?Covid? in the fall of 2022. Not a big deal however this would have been nice to know up front about this charge. Though I?d argue this charge should be beared upon by the restaurant and not the patron. This is more of a ?cost of doing business? the restaurant should be responsible but they pass the buck onto the patron. That?s unfortunate. I came in being bright eyed and bushy tailed looking forward to have a great time, however; I left with no intent of coming back."

"This restaurant is located inside the Tropicana, very convenient if you’re staying there. Wait time was ridiculous to eat in, so I’ve only done mobile pickup orders the week I was in AC. Their fries and mozzarella sticks are pretty good. The shrimp is a mess to peel but delicious. I added them to the salad I ordered for a healthier supplement to all the fried foods. I’m glad I ordered it to go and took it back to my room so I can wash my hands right away after peeling the shrimp. The seasoning for the shrimp isn’t very salty and the flavor didn’t soak well into the shrimp, unlike other seafood boils I’ve had in the past with similar seasoning. I’ve tried both the warm and cold versions of the shrimp during my last trip and would recommend the cold version with cocktail sauce over the warm version just because the latter can pick up some flavor from the sauce after they’ve been peeled. Food options were limited during the week days when I was in AC, this is a good spot to grab a quick bit before heading to the casino or boardwalk."

"First time visiting from Des Moines, this dive-bar type restaurant came highly recommended by my date who's from the area. She hyped up the BBQ Beef Brisket pizza. We shared a Large and split it half BBQ Beef Brisket half Buffalo Chicken.The BBQ Beef Brisket half, the cheese was burnt and made the crust too crunchy burnt. The cream cheese in my opinion should be mixed within the pizza sauce and not used as globs of cream cheese. I didn't like biting straight into a cream cheese blob. The BBQ Beef Brisket was dry and required additional BBQ sauce.The Buffalo Chicken half tasted dry burnt too. The Buffalo Chicken wasn't that hot and I've had better. Atmosphere seemed pleasant for an older crowd and service was good. Service was good although we were forgotten about at times as patrons closest to the bar were serviced often.I also ordered an appetizer of Beef Nachos and sadly I can make better Beef Nachos at home. I expected canned nacho cheese bc its profit margins are minimal, but I received way more chips than beef nacho cheese. For $8 on nachos, that's a rip-off ! Too many chips, hardly any beef, and obvious canned nacho cheese, c'mon. Let's not make it TOO obvious its canned nacho cheese. I'm willing to try Backdraft again in the future as there's not many restaurants in the Correctionville-Holstein-Cherokee area and I love trying local places than travel to Sioux City for national brands. I hope my next visit the pizza will be much better!"
