The Flautas are made with (we believe) corn rather than flour tacos which give it a very unique taste. It waz covered with a green sauce that had a little bit of a kick to it. "Disappointed with the food. The worst redfish I’ve ever tasted. The plate comes with cilantro rice and black bean. I was asked why type of beans and I said black. My plate was runny refried beans and mexican rice… Queso appetizer came before greasy chips and salsa and ended up getting cold in the wide and shallow bowl it was served in. "Came here for the first time in years. I was in the little shopping area next door and decided to pop in for some quick tacos. We stopped coming here years ago because the service was notoriously terrible. Food was always good but trying to get someone's attention to get more water or salsa was ridiculous. It was about 12:15, lunchtime on a Thursday. I was seated right away. I only wanted the three tacos ala carte (I hate making hard tacos at home so any chance I get, I order them at Mexican places) so I only gave 4 stars because this was one day and three tacos, BUT after this visit I'll be back. Service was good. It took a few minutes to get another bowl of salsa (I was scarfing up the chips and salsa...I hadn't eaten yet at all that day) but other than that, it was fine. But I DID get up and go to the register to pay my tab as soon as I was done, so I dont know if I would have been waiting to get my check paid. The tacos were not bad. Not outstanding by any means but the salsa jazzed them up...and the salsa...I see some complaining it was too spicy, but I loved it. My complaint is usually there is no spice at many Mexican places. I often carry my own hot sauce to step on the salsa at other places. What I really liked about the tacos is they held together for the most part. I've had tacos at several places and some, the meat is like held in water or something and so juicy the tacos shells are mushy in no time, or the shells are so delicate, you bite in to them and they just fall apart. I was probbaly in and out of here in 10 minutes paying my tab at the register and not waiting for the server/waitress. I had planned to just grab a fast food sandwich and eat on the road so I could keep moving and not lose time, but this was a great choice instead and didn't cost me too much time."

The carne asada tacos come with a delightful selection of both red and verde salsa that pack a nice heat. All the meats have been tender and incredibly flavorful. The beans and rice blend is also excellent. This is the first place I've come across in quite a while that serves avocado tacos—if you haven't tried them, they’re amazing! They’re light yet very satisfying. The margaritas are delicious, not overly citrusy, and packed with flavor. This will definitely be our go-to spot!"

"I had a fantastic experience at this Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner late into the night. The waitress, wearing a Corona jersey, worked long hours and provided excellent service. Overall, the food was quite delicious, and I particularly enjoyed trying the fish for the first time. We also indulged in churros that were served with molten chocolate, which were a real treat. "Without a doubt, these are the best tortas in Chicago! I can't fully express how amazing they were. We also tried the Tripi Guac as an appetizer, and it was outstanding! The reason I gave a 3-star rating is solely based on our experience during checkout. Everything had been perfect—from the service to the food—until we reached the register. The man there, who I believe is the owner, made a remark to my male friend suggesting that he should be the one paying and not me (a woman). "The salsa that accompanied the chips was fresh and spicy—absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were fantastic: shredded chicken mixed with red bell peppers and onions, packed with flavor and spice, accompanied by ample sides of refried beans, Mexican rice, sour cream, and lettuce. "Will always come back.. I know for a fact from going through several restaurants they keep their kitchen clean. The food is almost always fantastic. My favorites are the vegetarian combo (with personal tweaks such as black beans The Chillies Relejnos made with the Pablanos. The Salsa Verde (green sauce is always great, as well as the brown hot, the Pico is usually above par. The Sour Cream sauce is delicious! The variety and the way they allow you to modify your meal if necessary is great. <br/ <br/ Very good food, and very polite and dedicated owner.
