"Arrived at 5:45pm for dinner, going to a show at 7:30pm, restaurant was not very crowded. An hour passes, every one in the place has been served even guests that arrived after us. Food was promised earlier but never came. We ordered Mac n cheese and a burger- simple enough. Had to leave for our show hungry and still no sign of dinner. We will never go back. Very disappointed as when we were seated the server asked if we were going to a show and indicated speedy service. Fail."

"Overall, Providence is just OK. Our server was initially aggressive, but after the entrees arrived, we did not see him for quite a while, which delayed ordering another glass of Malbec. "I went for the oysters, because I had heard so much about them. I ordered both fried and chargrilled oysters. They were just ok... lots of butter and lacking in flavor.I would caution anyone dining here to check your bill carefully. Our server included a 20% tip to our bill and claimed it's automatic for parties of 5 or more. However, the menu clearly states in bold letters that the tip is automatic for parties of 6 or more. There were 5 people in our party. When I called it to his attention, he immediately corrected the bill and removed the tip. I normally give a minumum 20% tip when dining out, so it wasn't a big deal, but the problem I had was the fact that he was not honest from the onset."

"food was very reasonably priced the shrimp tacos were amazing. Oysters on the half shell were good but kind of pricy at $14 for 1/2 dozen. Not sure that 1/2 dozen of the baked were worth $19 but they were good. Over all service was great and we will definitely be back, maybe for happy hour next time."

"Excellent food and very good whiskey selection. The service we received was top notch... However, there was only one bartender and one server for the entire restaurant for dinner service and no hosthostess to seat people and answer the phone. It was obvious that there should have been another bartender and at least one more server on duty. The one bartender and server handled everything very professionally. So while they did a great job, the overall experience could have been better had there been more staff to handle the load. Understaffing does a disservice to the customers, staff and establishment. Will return and recommend to others"

"I have not been here since 2020 and it is still a good time. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we decided to go, so we were unable to enjoy the outdoor festivities because the ground was wet, but we were able to secure indoor seating. However, when the rain cleared up, it was packed indoors and outdoors which is a good sign that business is still going strong.We ordered food from the food truck and the queso and wings were really good! We ordered the buffalo and lemon pepper flavored wings and because the wings were smoked, the flavors were taken to another level.I still recommend this place as it is a great gathering spot to catch up with friends and the happenings in their lives."

"Cute little hole in the wall restaurant that I would have likely missed if it wasn't for Yelp, especially since there's construction around the restaurant at the moment. Since we were there on a holiday weekend, I called in advance to make sure that they would have a table available for us, and they were very accommodating. When we showed up, our table was ready, and we were promptly seated. It's quite cozy inside with no more than a few handful of tables. When I first walked in, I did wonder if we were in the right place since it looked more like a little cafe. It was clean inside though and well ventilated with the kitchen hidden in the back, making it seem smaller than it is. It's casual but inviting. Two of us, including myself, got the tagliatelle bolognese, and we agreed it was delicious. The other two individuals in our group got the gnocchi one got the special with pesto and the other got the one in red sauce. Both loved their meals as well; I had a bite of the gnocchi and found it light and pillowy as it should be. We all got drinks as well, and I got the Moscow mule. It was a little bitter, but overall pretty good. The service was attentive and good, and I was very happy to have found this restaurant thanks to Yelp! I'd be happy to come back for lunch the next time I visit NYC."

"We went for Restaurant Week. Instead of offering items off the menu to give a real taste of the place, the items were cheapened alternatives; e.g. tuna tacos instead of tuna and salmon tacos, plain salmon instead of sesame-encrusted salmon. The staff was friendly, but inexperienced; e.g. forgot to bring cutlery. The presentation of the food was good, but the flavor was either too bland (fish taco) or too spicy (sauce accompanying the salmon). The restaurant décor was fine, except when one looked closely; e.g., the faux-leather on the banquette was coming apart at the seams."
