"I ordered the Baked Penne, which the menu describes as seasoned ricotta cheese with penne pasta, baked and topped with melted mozzarella. The waitress came back not once, but twice, to confirm my order. However, when my meal arrived, I received spaghetti with meat sauce instead. I didn't eat it since it wasn’t what I ordered, and quite frankly, it didn't taste very good. Since it took a while for our large order to arrive, I chose not to send my meal back and instead just had some of the pizza we ordered, which was quite enjoyable.
When the waitress came back after 20 minutes to check if we were ready for the check, I politely told her that my meal was incorrect and that I hadn't touched it, but that it was alright since I had the pizza. I simply requested that she remove the incorrect dish from the bill. Her response was, "Oh, well you really confused me with your order because you can order all these things in so many different ways, but I guess I can take it off your bill."
I didn’t complain, wasn’t disrespectful, and definitely didn’t make a scene. I’m not sure why she felt the need to place the blame on me for the mix-up with my order. I didn’t make any special requests or changes; I simply asked for the baked penne. Instead of receiving an apology, I felt criticized, and the receipt was nearly tossed at us.
I'm not seeking coupons or free items. One experience like this is enough for me to steer clear of this location in the future. I don’t wish for anyone to be fired or reprimanded, but I do hope they can enhance their service."
