"Our first visit was my son's 13th birthday. This is a cute little place that stays busy. I'd been eyeing it for some time now. Overall the food was good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The teriyaki dishes initially all came out cold but the manager quickly remade each dish and we enjoyed them as well. Our server was attentive and more than accommodating. She truly made our first experience memorable. My only critique is that it was freezing in the place. I will return."

"We came back to Ozumo and were we ever disappointed!! Our server Esra was a disappointment to say the least especially for a place charging these prices. She was not able to help us navigate the menu when we had questions. We asked her for recommendations in the appetizer section and she literally pointed at every single item in random order. She was very difficult to understand which made things a little frustrating. She took the drink order for 2 people in our party of 4 and then left. ?!? She ignored the 2 other people at our table. The warm dish for one person in our party was brought to the table WAY ahead of the sushi plates for the others. That person wanted to eat with everyone else (of course!! and waited. By the time the sushi arrived, the warm dish was ice cold. We went to this place to celebrate a birthday. At every other restaurant our special event is at the very least acknowledged when the waiter first arrives at the table. Often times, something special is added like a tiny dessert with a candle or something similar. We got nothing. We had been to this restaurant a while ago and had an amazing waiter and amazing food. Not tonight. What a huge disappointment."

"The restaurant is always incredible. We arrived with a large group on a tight schedule, and were warmly welcomed by owner Michelle Ezell. The service from the wait staff was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend dining at Tsunami!"

"This restaurant serves outstanding Japanese cuisine. The sushi chefs are among the finest in Boston. I've dined here more than 30 times, and each visit has been fantastic. I frequently go for the all-you-can-eat option on Saturdays, but any time is a good time to visit this establishment. The service is consistently quick and welcoming, and the quality and portion sizes are just right. I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for excellent sushi in Boston at a reasonable price."

"The food list and description looked amazing and we were very excited to get a reservation and come here on our first night in Kona on our honeymoon. The ambience and service was amazing, so friendly and very good. The food did not meet our high expectations. The mahi mahi with yuzu butter was just alright, not bad, not great. The red snapper my partner got was delicious and more interesting. Their service and extra attention provided us with a nice time, but not sure I would recommend the food highly- not worth the value. They had an interesting night market menu the pork belly bao was good, but could have had more toppings. We also ordered sake and the silent samurai sake was the best part of the evening. Highly recommend doing a sake flight to try the sake"

"We decided to go for the Omakase, which is a set menu with the chef’s choice. It was a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. Chef Lim was present, overseeing almost every dish that came out from both the sushi bar and the kitchen. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially the Pea Shoot Scallops, Sashimi Nigiri, and Lamb Chops. As a Bourbon purist, I was pleasantly surprised by her Old Fashioned made with Japanese whiskey; it was one of the best cocktails I've had recently. I would have ordered a second if I hadn’t been driving. I also appreciated the interior design; it was elevated yet not over the top, and there was enough space between tables to avoid feeling cramped, which made it easy for the servers to navigate even when the dining room was full. Lastly, I must highlight the exceptional service. While Chef Lim personally supervised the kitchen, his staff was equally impressive. We were greeted right away and seated promptly. Our server was quick and courteous, and we had not just one, but two managers check in on us during our meal, once while we were eating and again afterward. Overall, it was a top-notch experience—better than Aka, Azuma, and significantly better than Uchi. I truly hope they maintain this quality because I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area."

"This restaurant immediately judged my husband the second we stepped foot inside. We are two gay men that didn’t fit their agenda and were told we were not dressed appropriately mind we were both wearing very nice clothes to which the manager forcefully told us to leave. Keep in mind many ladies were wearing sleeveless mini dresses but we weren’t allowed to wear silk tops and dress shorts. Unbelievable. This restaurant should be ashamed"

"Any place located in Yaohan plaza gets extra points, and the food is very good. Chawamushi and Yakatori and monkfish liver! I felt i was back in Torrance! All the food was excellent, the Hamachi I really liked too. Weird interaction with a host that's worth mentioning we have double booked reservations and I trying to call and let them know. When I arrived I told the host that I was apologizing for the double booking and told him that I tried to call, he took it to mean that I was annoyed that he hadn't answered the phone and told me about six different ways that they were way too busy to answer the phone. Even though he took about 5 minutes to explain that to me in every angle possible. Didn't ruin the food though!"

"The quality here is quite good. Unlike many other casual Japanese restaurants I've visited, where the California rolls in a bento box are often poorly prepared, this place takes great care in crafting each item on the menu. You can really feel the dedication of the chef in every dish."

"Came here today for lunch after hearing great things about their sushi. We started with Pineapple saki (Yum! And egg rolls and dumplings. The egg rolls were perfectly fried and crunchy and the dumplings were delicious! The ginger salad was small, but scrumptious. I chose the spider roll and the tiger eye as my pick 2 and was more fond of the tiger eye. The service was super friendly and very quick. We will definitely be back to try more rolls (my husband had the crunch roll and the Cajun roll which I prefered ."

"I absolutely loved this place!! The food was incredible and the inside was so beautiful. I was definitely bummed our service wasn’t as great as everything else. I thought our server was nice but as the night went on and we were the only couple in the restaurant I could tell she was ready for us to leave. She came and told us the kitchen closed and we were unable to order dessert which was disappointing considering we were celebrating our Valentine’s Day. I have no problem with wanting to go home but if she would have warned us before hand it would have looked better for her. As we walked out of the restaurant we noticed the kitchen was definitely not closed. I could be wrong but either way just disappointed the service didn’t match everything else."

"Great sushi and excellent customer service !I ordered the John roll and vegetable tempura. The sauce on the John roll was really good! Probably one of the best rolls I've ever had!Came in with a big group of 11 people and they had some big tables towards the back of the restaurant that comfortable accommodated our entire party. The hostess was very nice and attentive and answered all of our questions. Had a few different servers and all were very friendly and made the experience very positive.Sunday is all day happy hour! I posted a picture of the happy hour, with most dishes being discounted about $5! Large selection from the happy hour menu to choose from.I ended it all with some mochi ice cream for dessert! They had 7 flavors to choose from: vanilla, red bean, coffee, strawberry, mango, chocolate and 1 other that I can't quit remember. I got the vanilla and red bean and did not regret my decision at all! The red bean was my favorite!Highly recommend for small and even larger groups! They said that can accommodate groups even larger than ours!"

"Inatome was a cool space for a hibachi experience. The entrance steals the show more than anything else. The servers were attentive and always asked if we needed anything, but forgot a couple of things from our order and we had to ask before they were brought to our table. The decor is typical Japanese flair, with bamboo trimmings on the walls, and personal tables in the front, hibachi grill in the back. There is also a sushi table stationed to the right as you enter, which is great for raw lovers. We took a private table, ordered sushi and sashimi, along with other items from the hibachi menu which gets brought to your table sizzling. The sushi was pretty good, from the California to the shrimp rolls, they were all pretty good. The hibachi options? Not so much. They came with a burnt smell to it and nothing compared to how good it is when you actually sit at the chef's table to get it done. It was a waste of money to be honest. We ordered the surf and turf, along with the shrimp hibachi and they both disappointed. The overall experience was just okay, and honestly would not go back."

"For those looking for a vegetarian option, the Sweet Baby roll is a standout. It features shiitake mushrooms, cream cheese, mango, spicy mayo, and avocado, all coated in crunchy crumbs and topped with a sweet sauce. I've never had a roll like it, and I'm a big fan—I think I'll order it every time! The staff at the restaurant are very friendly, and they always give me a HiChew candy when I leave, which is a nice touch. Be sure to check out Sushi Mon when you have the chance!"

"I wanted to like it to support the shop but it was okay. There were parts that were tasty but when we got the bill, it was not worth that much. We ordered a ramen tonkatsu. The pork and noodles were great but the broth started to taste too salty after awhile. The seaweed around the sushi seemed hard to bite into, I guess I like crispy seaweed. My brother got a bento with mackerel and tempura. I took the shrimp, it had a nice crisp and taste to it. After the first bite of mackerel, my brother got a fish bone and that ruined it for him. He gave it to me, I added lemon and ate it with rice. It was pretty tasty. We ordered a spider maki, seemed not enough soft shell crab. Our favorite was 85, it had a lot of different fish. The Umami was ok, the veggies in the sushi were not our favorite and the poke seemed flavorless. Service was nice."

"Fresh/real wasabi. Sashimi platter portion on the small side, but other choices okay size. Be prepared to order a few starters to share cause the main course really isn't big enough for a normal appetite. Overall good quality food. One complaint is the restaurant added a 20% tip for my party of 5 (a bit unusual for not a big party) and server didn't remind me of such. 20% tip isn't an issue nowadays, but auto adding that for a smaller party and not reminding customers is. I looked at the bill and noticed it and didn't over-tip them. Feels a bit sneaky, don't you think?"

"this place has expired and dirty. when they go in their rudely greeted by confused people and when they look around that the carpet is dirty and beaten, then they see around them dirty walls and the deck has never seen a vacuum or vacuum in 40 years. the ventilation openings on the deck used as white and coated with black dust. breathe in while you eat. the tables were badly cleaned and sticky and some foods were left by the last people on the bank we sat on. the hibachi table looked like they only clean the cooking area, but sides and holes were rough. service was slow, it took 20 minutes after we set ourselves to even get a waitress to tell us hello? the chef was great, very friendly and funny. the food was good and fresh. unfortunately will not go back. sale bombe is the best anyway"
