"Legendary! The oldest drive in in Indianapolis, Mug n Bun was founded in 1960. My mom is a diner fan and has never been here, so we went today during the final full day of my month long visit to Indy. I had the Mug N Bun Special which is a burger with bacon and cheese on toast. She had a single burger. We also had WAY too many crinkle cut fries, nibblers (baby fried onion rings and their onion rings are the BEST), and cheese sticks because I love fried cheese in all forms. And of course two root beers. They make their own and it is the best, creamiest root beer I've ever had. You can dine at a picnic table, the dining room (week days only) or pull your car up for carside service! Just turn your car lights on . Deliciously unhealthy lunch at one of my favorite places. I even took a mug home with me! Great service, too. A true icon of Indianapolis."
