"We are from Oklahoma, a landlocked state with limited access to fresh seafood. This was my first experience trying lobster, and I ordered the XL size. I was surprised by how small it was, about the size of a small hot dog. The roll was actually a roasted bread roll with five thin layers that were super crispy and dripping with butter. If I were to go back, I would ask for the butter on the side. It was hard to tell if there was any kind of dressing on the lobster roll, as it just seemed to be smaller pieces of delicious and fresh lobster. I also tried the crab roll, which was made with crushed crab but it was not very impressive compared to the lobster. My daughter, who does not eat seafood, had the blueberry chicken. Despite the name, there were no actual blueberries in it; rather, it was a BBQ sauce made with blueberries, which was a tasty option for non-seafood eaters. The brown butter corn was also a delicious side dish. Overall, Freshies is a casual and laid-back seafood spot with excellent and tasty dishes. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming."
