"This used to be a favorite. The food is still generally good. Service was uneven, longer than expected delays in taking drink and then dinner orders. We ordered queso, and in the past, it would come in a stand over a candle to keep it warm. Not so this time. Likewise, the food took longer to arrive. Our fajitas were piping hot, and still pretty tasty, but the onions, peppers, and jalapeños were over cooked and limp. We recall the tortilla chips fondly as being lighter and fresher, and this time they resembled a product from a bag you’d get at the grocery store. Still ok and crisp, but not as good as they used to be. Our servers were very nice and helpful, and seemed to be on top of things. The decor looks tired, chairs and tables are chipped and a bit rickety. There was something off about the draft Pacifico, it was flat, a bit warm, and tasteless (but for the lime). We also had a pitcher of margaritas, and they were just ok. Weak on the tequila, not so fresh lime, and not well mixed in the pitcher. The restaurant was quick about getting us a different (bottled) beer, and they comped the bad one. Overall, the impression we have is that owners aren’t really investing a lot of time here. Sadly, as we finished, we all agreed we’d be going elsewhere for our next Tex-mex outing."
