"Enjoyable Friday night with friends. First visit to Cantina 1511. Best Mexican I’ve had in Mooresville since moving here last summer. Good margs, a little sweet, could’ve used another squeeze of lime juice. I had the chimichanga with ground beef. Huge portion, filling was nicely seasoned and not dried out like sometimes happens with chimis. My husband had beef fajitas and really enjoyed them. Good amount of meat and nice mix of grilled veggies too. Because of the avocado issues right now, amount of guac with entrees was skimpy, but I’m willing to overlook as it’s not restaurant’s fault. Prices were a little steep for Mexican, probably due to supply chain and staffing issues. Will see how that goes once things settle down. Overall a nice night out with friends. FYI, We went around 6 pm and wasn’t crowded, by the time we left around 7:30 there were quite a few people waiting to be seated."

We were seated quickly which was great for our group. Drinks took a long time to come from the bar. We had lots of chips and salsa while we waited. It took a long time for our food to come out. The food was alright, not the best I’ve had but also not the worst. When all was said and done we were there for 2 hours for a party of 7. My husband summed it up, Mexican is usually quick and cheap and this was neither. It was $70 for 2 adult meals, 1 kids meal, and 4 house margaritas.
