"I arrived with a reservation for my birthday, but the hostess informed me that I would need to wait 25 minutes to be seated on the lower level. While waiting, I went down to the bar and noticed four small tables were available. I politely asked the hostess why I had to wait, and she explained that all the tables were reserved by the owner. It was quite frustrating to begin my birthday dinner with such difficulty in securing a table."

"The restaurant has potential for improvement. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but there were some flaws. The paella was a disappointment as the seafood was overcooked and the dish tasted too fishy. However, the mussels were fantastic and fresh. The calamari and other dishes were also enjoyable, as were the cocktails. I wouldn't recommend the paella specifically, and the service was a bit slow, likely due to how busy they were. I would consider giving them another try in the future."

"We asked for a quiet table. They seated is in back, but the restaurant is LOUD. They then put tables together next to us for large party, who were noisy. So we asked to more to a table outside. That took some time, although tables outside were readily available. They finally moved us and never came back! Since it took forever to be acknowledged, let alone order, we could only imagine how long it would take yo get our food (which would probably be cold), so we left. The lively Italian restaurant around the corner was happy to gave us, provided impeccable service and served great food."

"Meso Maya is an amazing find in Dallas! The food special and delicious with a Mexico City inspiration versus Tex Mex. I love this place. I always take friends here because you can actually talk with each other, hear each other and not have to yell. : Bonus, bonus is that the food is excellent, healthy and tasty. "Sadly we were disappointed across the board. I’ve been to Meso Maya a few times before and it’s a nice treat when we want to go into the city. You have always been very pleased,but sadly not this time. Likely not our waiter’s fault as he was covering several large tables but we perhaps saw him 3x during our service and not within remote proximity of when we needed him….another margarita please!, one dish arrive stone cold, while most of the others were luke warm at best. Promised a new warmer dish by another wait staff but it never arrived. Make sure you sit downstairs. I had never been seated upstairs before but you don’t want to. You feel cut off from the vibe, even if it’s busy. It likely contributed to food being cold as well. Beyond the waiter, who was polite and apologetic, the food was disappointing and not on-par w past experiences. I would still recommend Meso Maya, but hopefully these issues get resolved."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first few orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"We sat at a large outdoor table due to my partner being on crutches and our small dog accompanying us. I informed the host of our seating choice, but no one approached us. After seeking out a waiter, we requested menus and water. Another server brought menus and mentioned returning with utensils, but only returned with water. A different waiter took our drink orders, followed by another staff member taking our food order. Surprisingly, our food arrived before our drinks and we still did not have utensils. Our drink order was also incorrect. The service was slow and the staff appeared confused at times. While the food was enjoyable, the service was a consistent issue for a restaurant that presents itself as high-end. This was the worst service we have experienced and we are uncertain if we will return."

"omg, I love this place. Originally we went for the menudo since they had a really good one, but they don't sell it anymore. So we decided to have a little brunch. we ordered cafe de olla, which is not in the menu, but they can ask for it (they have simple and with zinammon, I decided for the zinammon and it is really good.) also asked for a latte that was also very good. to eat we decided to go for the salmon avocado toast (the brot is amazingly good, the avocado lacked some salt and pepper, but they can add that to taste when it is served, it also comes with a fender that makes the perfect combination with the salmon.) also went for the salmon benny’s, which is also well served inais veeery that is the perfect combination with the salmon. both dishes come with spiced potato and an salad, so it feels definitiw as a ballance meal."

"Aro was really disappointing. Appetizers were OK, however the chips they brought for the guacamole were underwhelming. How can you get chips wrong people? Mashed potatoes were made from powder and tasted terrible. Achiote fish was undercooked. and the so called seafood paella had the consistency of a risotto, the flavors were good and the portion generous. All of the vegetables were cooked unevenly and I can't really tell if they had been previously frozen or not. I have been having tres leches cake for 40 something years and this one was, without doubt, the worst one I've ever had. Completely dry. It had probably been sitting for days. I guess that for the prices they charge, you can't have higher expectations. I would be happy to pay more if they'd step up their game and bother to boil some potatoes and mash them up."

The chimichurri steak we ordered was cold and of poor quality; when we brought it up to the server, they opted to regrill it.... And so the cut became overcooked and not really edible. The spicy potatoes were solid, but a tad overdone with spicy mayo. Best part of the meal was some prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and the free appetizer bread and olive oil."

"The gentleman who worked the counter was very unfriendly, never smiled, seemed like it was a burden to help me and was like the other customers also, yogurt is great, but his customer service was terrible. I went back a little later to get a bottled water and the girl behind the counter was very sweet and very helpful, it was just a gentleman who was rude. 2. Part of this review. I have published this today and within 2 hours I had an answer from the business and that is very impressive, because of the management on my assessment I have changed my view of this place, the fact that it will recognize and appeal that I will come back absolutely! I believe every deserve has a second and third chance to get things right, perhaps the Lord had only a bad day, but as I said, overall the yogurt and the young girl at the counter changed my position and the management sealed the deal with excellence in handling the customer service. I would highly recommend this yoghurtland in Irvine and I will definitely be back!"
