"Sadly we were disappointed across the board. I’ve been to Meso Maya a few times before and it’s a nice treat when we want to go into the city. You have always been very pleased, but sadly not this time. Likely not our waiter’s fault as he was covering several large tables but we perhaps saw him 3x during our service and not within remote proximity of when we needed him….another margarita please!, one dish arrive stone cold, while most of the others were luke warm at best. Promised a new warmer dish by another wait staff but it never arrived. Make sure you sit downstairs. I had never been seated upstairs before but you don’t want to. You feel cut off from the vibe, even if it’s busy. It likely contributed to food being cold as well. Beyond the waiter, who was polite and apologetic, the food was disappointing and not on-par w past experiences. I would still recommend Meso Maya, but hopefully these issues get resolved."

Had a great date night. Good value for good food but didn’t think it stood out in comparison to most other Mexican restaurants in Dallas. The Churros were excellent and the staff was very friendly.

We visited this restaurant after leaving another one. The hostess was incredibly friendly and promptly seated us. Our waiter was also attentive and warm. However, the area where we were seated was quite chilly. View menu

We each ordered a bowl of soup for our meal, and they arrived at a temperature that was lukewarm to cool. We didn't have an opportunity to address this issue. The service was decent, but there was a noticeable attitude from the staff.

I really enjoy Meso Maya, but unfortunately, our server was not up to par. It took us 2 and a half hours to have dinner, and we only had 2 drinks per person for a party of 6. The server would often vanish for 30 minutes after we placed our drink orders, and when the drinks finally arrived, they were diluted and lacked any real alcohol, especially for a $15 price tag. I ordered the Del Mar enchiladas, but they contained no lump crab meat—only shrimp. The queso and guacamole were good, but everything else was just average. I think places like Mesero or Mexican Sugar would have been a better choice.

"I visited today Botolino Gelateria Artigianale in Dallas, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! Since they opened their first shop in 2015, I’ve heard so many great things about this gelateria, but nothing prepared me for the delightful treat that awaited me. After trying their gelato, I was so impressed that I even did my own research to understand the magic behind the flavors I was tasting. The moment I walked in, I could see why Botolino has become a favorite among locals. The gelato is crafted using traditional Italian methods, which gives it a creamy, rich texture that is simply divine. It’s no wonder they’ve won awards like “Best Gelato in Dallas” and have been recognized in various culinary competitions for their innovative flavors. The variety at Botolino is impressive. I tried the rich Pistachio, mascarpone with figs and the decadent Stracciatella. Each flavor was bursting with authentic taste, and I could truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients used. It was like taking a little trip to Italy with every bite! What really stood out to me was the friendly staff, who were eager to share their passion for gelato. They offered me samples and helped guide my choices, making the experience even more enjoyable. In short, my visit to Botolino Gelateria Artigianale was nothing short of amazing. If you’re in Dallas and looking for high-quality gelato, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed—I know I’ll be back for more soon!"
