"I have visited many places and it is always a pleasant experience. brunch is always consistently tasty and fast. they have a nice lunch menu with envelopes, sandwiches and Greek farewell. that was our first dinner visit. this was the first time we looked over the special drink menu and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed several mosque miles at dinner. for dinner I ordered the cod with another and the third ordered the salmon. we all enjoyed our food. also here I stick to the Greek tariff, and was pleasantly surprised by the lemon taste of the fish. highly recommended. the atmosphere was energetic with the sabres game on, but not too loud or overcrowded that we could not have a comfortable entertainment at the dining table."

"Our experience at Christos tonight was absolutely horrible. When we arrived the manager asked us to wait because they were out of menus. An elderly couple were behind us and I overheard the man say he needed to sit down so I asked the hostess if we could all be seated without menus and was told we needed to wait for the manager. Once we were seated, the waitress came and asked me and my partner for our drink order and then turned and left. When she came back I asked her to take our friend’s drink order and she told our friend in a nasty tone that she had asked her if she wanted a drink and she had said no. My friend told her she didn’t ask her and I confirmed that. The waitress then argued with both of us about it so I asked my partner if we should just leave because it was quite uncomfortable. The waitress then leaned on the empty chair and yelled, “Do you want to order? Do you want to order?” Over and over and over. We all just looked at her and our friend told her to leave. Our friend then went outside and I requested the manager. The waitress went and talked to the manager and he proceeded to do everything but come talk to us. My partner went outside and I went up to the desk to wait. When the manager did come talk to me I told him what happened and he said that we were impatient from the moment we got there because we told his trainee to seat us without menus. I told him we were not in a hurry and I ASKED for all of us to be seated because of what the elderly man behind us had said. I also told him I only asked for our friend’s drink order to be taken-we weren’t even ready to order food. Our friend had never had Greek food so we were still explaining all the items on the menu. The manager said he and the owner would talk with the waitress and I thanked him for that but also let him know I would be posting this review. There’s more that transpired but not enough space here to add it. We didn’t eat but I rated the food high because it’s always been good."

"We are steady customers at Christos Minnetonka. It is the top restaurant we go to in the Twin Cities. We eat out about three times per week. Prices are very reasonable - I don't remember the last time they adjusted prices. Gus brings the receipes from his mother, and they are the best"

"Wow ! We just ordered Take out for our first visit. We can?t believe we haven?t tried earlier. Truly excellent food. We enjoyed the Arni Roasted Pork shoulder with rice, potatoes. So Good ! The Greek Ribs. Also perfectly spiced. Great choice. All 4 of the sampler sauces excellent Hummus, Tsiaki, etc. Greek Lasagna Oh so good ! "we are always on estia and never have a complain. but I booked our reservation a few days before the time and requested a certain table, they did not place us there. I also wrote in the inscription, it was for a birthday and hoped that they put a candle or something in the ice when dessert was ordered, they did not or recognized / ask if we wanted something to birthday. we went early enough to make accommodations and also the reservation early enough in advance. was very disappointed as estia is always on her A game."

"It was my our sixth legal anniversary and we’ve come here when we’re visiting NYC together. The food is excellent and the service was pretty good but not what I’ve experienced in the past. I just had to ask for things I don’t think I should have to ask for like serving utensils. Did not ruin the experience. Overall very pleased."

"Went here for lunch yesterday... The FOOD was on point! Had the calamari which was cooked very well, and just enough crispiness :P. Also had the pork souvlaki sandwich [with friesss in the sandwich... SUPRISE!! . When I get pork souvlaki at other spots, the pork is usually over-cooked, but these guys did a fantastic job with it. We also had dessert, which was fantastic! and the name.. is killing me now, but it was custardy,... with cinnamon... and a bit of deliciousness... Just ask for that, they should be able to pick it out. The SERVICE,... SPOT ON! Met the owner, Jerry who was kind and very welcoming. The waitress was very tentative, and always asking how everything was, without being too intrusive 'cause that could get really annoying if they are always on your a : ... The DECOR... It was very comfortable and everything just felt very clean, from the floors, table, chairs, to the restroom. All good in my eyes. Overall, very good experience here. Highly recommended. Also, the owner mentioned he just got his liquor license so expect even bigger things here!"

"We waited mins to be asked for drinks or anything. The halibut was over grilled and tasted more like chicken. The cheesecake was a gelatin dessert, not worth the price and underwhelming. The lamb chops were very good however. The ambiance is very nice. Wish the fish and the service were better. We love this restaurant and we hope it improves. It’s an expensive restaurant and we expect a little higher than this. We want to come back hopefully"

"We drive 90 minutes to dine at Avli Taverna from the burbs. The food is always excellent and the service friendly even when it's busy. The wine list is small but superb. The small plates are perfect for a light snack or as a starter for dinner. Main dishes offer a great variety and are beautifully prepared. Desserts are always tempting! We love the atmosphere of this beautiful neighborhood spot and always enjoy our experience there. We were just there tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday and can't wait to return with or without an occasion!"

"Athena was recommended as the place to go in Chicago?s Greektown, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and overall vibe were outstanding. It?s a big place with great energy without being too loud or over the top. Our waiter was friendly andknowledgeable, helping us pick a wine that went well with our food choices. "My friend and I arrived and were immediately seated at a nice table. As they have a full bar, I was happy they had my favorite scotch and ordered and we each received an ample scotch on the rocks which we enjoyed while we perused the special luncheon menu. The selections were numerous and included choices of filet of sole, grilled breast of chicken and grilled or fried shrimp. I selected the chicken and my companion chose the fried shrimp, the special includes rice, lemon potatoes or horta and we selected the potatoes and rice. We also ordered a small Greek salad and a Spanokopia. All of the dishes were delicious, especially the grilled breast of chicken. The portions were large and I was able to take home chicken, potatoes and salad. Amazing value for under $100.00."

"We decided to share several appetizers, and each one was wonderful. We started with Tirokafteri ($8), a spicy feta dip that was absolutely delicious. It was creamy with just the right amount of heat. We wished it had come with pita instead of some rather ordinary bread, but the dip itself was fantastic. Next up was the Feta Psiti ($14), a filo pastry stuffed with feta, topped with sesame seeds and a drizzle of honey. It was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted—so scrumptious that I can't wait to order it again, and next time I won’t be sharing! The Gigantes ($13) featured large lima beans baked with tomatoes and garlic, resulting in a creamy and flavorful dish. The Kolokithakia ($19), a simple yet striking dish of fried zucchini, was perfectly breaded and fried to a crisp. Light and incredibly tasty, it came with Tzatziki and earned its reputation as one of their best-selling dishes. To complete our meal, we shared a Horiatiki salad ($16), which was also delightful, with capers adding a nice touch. The service was friendly and attentive, with great recommendations throughout our meal. I can’t wait to return to what has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in town. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, and they offer an extensive wine list alongside a menu that caters to even the pickiest eaters. Just be aware that the inside can get a bit crowded when busy, so making a reservation is the best way to enjoy your visit."

"Now, this place has amazing eating there are always missing items are a problem with my order. every time I replace a delivery order, something is missing, so I started calling after ordering for delivery. I called and asked them to please the items I ask and still the food is delivered with missing items. Unfortunately, I will no longer order from there, because it is only too much to order from a stressy eating and then a whole order is missing. it is as if things are not reading the reception or when they call in and ask if they could please include their article and they still are not a bit worse when they pay money for eating and not quiet."

"We stopped into this restaurant just as we were walking by; it was such a nice find. The wait staff were very nice and helpful. Water was always full and they were able to make suggestions. I even forgot to take my receipt and one of the staff were ableto pull it up in their system and send a photo. Thank you! Food was delicious with some interesting offerings. Loved the factthat the menu was rather simple. Really enjoyed the hummus and the fried cheese. The halibut was perfect with a bit ofcrispness and the black lentils were seasoned so to compliment the fish. The shrimp were also delicious. Loved the broccoliniwith the parm and carmelized onions. The outside seating area was so nice, it made for an enjoyable meal and evening. Thebathrooms were very clean and wash areas well kept. Overall we really enjoyed the dining experience. Made for a nice evening."

"Athens on 86th has an impressive number of menu choices, including several sampler plates for those who want more than one dish (or who want to try more than one dish). They have hot and cold appetizers and vegetarian versions of some classic Greek dishes. We have been to this restaurant more than once, and intend to keep visiting when we are in the area. This most recent visit, on 6/9/23, we had a waiter named Nikola who was very friendly and very accommodating of our choices. We enjoyed interacting with him and hope to see him again at our next visit. We interacted only sparingly with other staff, but they were also very friendly. The restaurant is decorated in some very appealing scenes of Greek places, as well as statues and columns, paintings and greenery. If you are Greek and long for a taste of home, go there. If you are not Greek and have never lived in Greece, nor visited there, but like Mediterranean food, go there. The food is consistently good and the service is consistently friendly, fast, and accommodating."
