"Phoned in a pickup order, and the staffer on the other end did NOT want to deal with me, kept asking is that all? I was ordering for more than myself so no lady, please just take my order and stop making me feel awkward about ordering more than one item. I really wanted to just cancel the order but my friend said these folks don 't get paid enough to care. So I cross my fingers that the cooks feel differently. Then we get there and the place is nearly empty... wait til I get home and find out why. NO RICE AND BEANS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am from Texas and I guess Maine did not get the Mexican memo y 'all need to serve rice and beans with meals. How am I meant to pay over $10 for a plate and not get these extremely normal and expected sides? Half the food was cold, especially the enchilada. I 'm used to eating enchiladas last because of how piping hot they are, well at Pepino 's they are served cold EW. My friend did not end up eating the island tacos because gross. The avocado salsa is mislabeled, it 's not a salsa. The chips were decent, the side salsas, which I am shocked that they didn 't charge me extra for, were decent, but if the food is meh, then salsa can only cover up so much sadness. Salsa is meant to enhance the food, not act as the Wizard of Oz. Also, no amount of medical marijuana could make this food taste better, as I put in the good ole college try. After the meal, I am sad to report that I wasted money on this meal, as I could have found a cheaper, similar tasting option in the freezer section of Hannafords. I can only hope that y 'all do some investment research and get the staff more customer service training. Best wishes and adios!"
