"I wish I could give this place zero stars!!! We work at a dealership locally and ordered breakfast from here this morning and we found a lovely little surprise in our food. a COCKROACH! STAY AWAY from this place you guys, there is NO excuse why a nasty bug like that should be in the food! That honestly shows this place is dirty and GROSS. Clearly the food was being eaten so its considered CONTAMINATED AT THAT POINT. IM SO FURIOUS AT HOW DISGUSTING THIS WAS. Attaching the photos of the situation we dealt with, literally puked just looking at it and its very sickening. You guys need to do a deep cleaning or STOP serving food PERIOD!!!! GROSS AND ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE!"

"I had a late-night dinner at the Gold Roc, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The waitress was professional and attentive, the food was quite good for a diner, and everything arrived at our table quickly. The place was also clean. "The atmosphere is a bit loud as it 's small. Can 't complain though it 's a Portuguese style restaurant. Service was lacking. There is no host when you walk in to get seated. Not too long of a wait either. Wish I could put 0 stars for food. Never got the food. When asked about ETA 45 minutes later. Response was it 's on the grill right now . An egg bowl, Egg sandwich, and 2 pancakes shouldnt take that long. Forgot to mention 2 other parties sat after us, which is my 4 month old baby, my wife and I. They got their food. We ordered right away and we got the feeling they never put our order in. We 're never coming back!!"

"Our servers were very accommodating, one offered to cut the steak for a resident which was very helpful. Two of our dinner guests were vegetarian and both ordered the veggie burger, it was out of this world! for a prime rib was a bit pricey but delicious! "A friend and I drove from Winchester for breakfast and it was definitely worth the trip!! It was so busy when we arrived, we got the last table! I have a baby in a car seat and the staff were so thoughtful in trying to get us the best table to fit the baby. Our server was a sweet older lady. She was so friendly and attentive and something about her made you feel like you were at grandmas house! I got an omelette and I thought it was great. No big to-do just a normal omelette and I loved it. My friend got the French toast meal and it looks delicious, she said it was great! The prices were very reasonable and the place was cute! I will be back and I recommend others try it!"

"This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I ordered the gyro platter, which came without any veggies, soup, and fries. I immediately reached out to express my concern since it was a carryout order. The meat was so dry that it was difficult to eat, and the sweet tea lemonade was unpleasant. The fries were flimsy and excessively greasy. Although they did provide a complimentary order of french fries that were slightly better, it didn’t make up for the overall experience. I asked for extra sauce for the gyro meat, and they wanted to charge me for it. When a customer is dissatisfied, it's important to accommodate them as part of good customer service. The sauce only costs 50 cents, so offering two would have shown good faith and could have helped to improve my experience. Simple gestures like that can go a long way in satisfying customers. "Nice place to eat in southern style. I had the Thursday lunch special, that was $8 and change. It was great with meat leaf potatoes and beet green as my sides. I had a little potatoes and gravy with every bite of meat, just as I like it and boy it was good. The sweet tea was good and not excessively sweetened. The desert was hot apple cake, which was just a tart and vanilla ice cream. I have nothing bad to say about this place. They do not take credit cards, but an ATM is on site and personal checks with ID are excluded, but this can only be for locals. Oh, and the service was great and so friendly."

"Here at 8:45am on a Monday morning. Steady stream of people on their way to work, but not crowded. Great quick service, food, and coffee. Prices have been scratched out on the window menu outside. Minimum $7 to use credit card, Visa and Mastercard only. Cold drinks refrigerator in back with sodas, water, etc. A few booths, a few tables, and 4 counter seats. We had the egg and cheese bagel (yummy) and the avocado omelette with plain toasted bagel (also yummy). Coffee, too. $22 out the door."

"I have been going to Sally and Bob 's since the early 80 's. The 'new ' owners Helen and Cesar don 't feel so new anymore. Initially under the assistance of Rhonda Ronnie (children of Sally Bob) prior to their retiring, Helen and Cesar have kept everything that was great about S B 's AND have added many delicious specials for both breakfast and lunch. "Food is ok. It’s normal diner food. I’m ok with that and was ok with my food taking longer when ordered from grub hub. Especially because I know I’m a bit farther away. First time I ordered on Grub Hub my order was cancelled as it was past the time they ordered. I was frustrated but moved in. I’ve ordered once more prior to today and the food was good. Not very warm but I am a bit farther so not too concerned. What I am concerned about is that today it took almost two hours from the time I ordered to the time I got my food again I understand Sunday is a busy day for this kind of food. However I did not receive a call to let me know or anything. I got worried my order had been cancelled again so I called to check. Instead of a nice person on the other end I got someone who was clearly busy and stressed, again understandable. What was very much not was that he proceeded to get upset that I was wasting his time, as he was very busy, checking to make sure my order wasn’t cancelled. He kept calling me sweetheart in the most incredibly condescending way! I’ve never been too worried about someone calling me that but this was infuriating. He took something that was so simple and turned it into something it never needed to be. Telling me “sweetheart if you want your order faster then pick it up!” Then he told me that he would just go ahead and cancel my order after telling me it was already on its way! This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had and I will never order here again. What kind of sense does it make to cancel an order after the driver has already left to deliver and I’ve already paid. I never once asked for a refund, just wondering where my order was when I was told it would be delivered over a half hour ago!! I recommend thinking twice before ordering here. On a positive note the delivery driver is very nice and both times she was very happy and prompt."

"Went in with my wife on a rare weekday that we both had off. Open, cafeteria-like atmosphere. Service was pleasant, but a little slow to take our order. Eggs and pancakes were great! My corned beef hash was not what I expected. I will admit, I love the hash that you can buy in the supermarket, and most other diners serve this type. But 122 diner has homemade hash that has a lot of green onion in it, must be an acquired taste that I don't have! Overall, a good choice but not perfect."
