"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"We’ve been to Bourbon countless times, and there are many reasons why we keep coming back. But yesterday’s experience is that of a low tier restaurant!! This time, we were there to celebrate my son’s birthday (stated on reservation) 1- Check in with hostess was smooth, seated almost immediately 2- Ordered appetizers. Came quick and we’re tasty. 3- Entrees took forever and a day to arrive, and when they did, they were barely warm. We had ordered 4 kids’ filet mignon but only received 2. The latter was corrected by the manager 4- the waiter was no where to be found, had to get help from others and the manager. He showed up after we paid and were about to leave 5- Plates piled up as if you were at a buffet restaurant. 6- As for the birthday, it was not acknowledged at all, left my son disappointed. Unacceptable and not worthy of the Four Seasons brand."

"We used to go to Bilbo Baggins a lot years ago. This was a very poor experience. We made a reservation and were seated right away in what seemed like the baby/toddler section. One poor waiter had the entire upstairs section by himself. He was trying hard, but the service was poor. He was obviously overwhelmed and neither he nor his runner/busboy knew which table got what order. We were constantly being presented with food and drinks another table had ordered. My daughter ordered the gnocchi with butter and parmesan cheese (a modification to what was offered on the menu). It came out with alfredo sauce. I sent it back and it came back absolutely plain; no butter, no cheese, just plain boiled gnocchi. I'm sure it was due to the lack of English spoken by the waiter and boy helping him out. She ate a couple bites then I told her I'd fix it the way she liked when we got home. The onion soup and the duck entree were very good."

"Made a reservation for 7pm, arrived at 6:50, our table was already set up for us. They showed us to our table...Our server for the evening, Andrea, came over, introduced herself, and was totally amazing throughout the evening...my husband and myself have been here several times but it was the first time here for the other few ppl with us...Andrea answered any questions we had about any items on the menu and told us about the specials of the day...we ordered a round of drinks and appetizers, the spinach and artichoke dip is excellent, the wings are seasoned just right and nice and tender...we had a variety of items from the menu for our dinner ranging from the New York strip steak, pork chops, their awesome patty melt, cobb salad with chicken, and the famous reuben sandwich.... everything was excellent and generous portions...most of us asked Andrea for a container cause we couldn't finish everything and wanted to save room for their decadent desserts waiting for us to choose from.. throughout the evening Andrea kept our drinks filled, my mom is a coffee drinker, and Andrea kept her cup filled...she answered any questions about different tequilas, definitely knowledgeable about anything we asked... everything was perfect, delicious food, comfortable booth, excellent service by Andrea, thank you Jim for taking my reservation, we had a great night...see you again soon"

"My partner and I stayed at the Equinox hotel for the first time and were eager to try out The Marsh Tavern. We had heard great things about the menu and the history of the place was very intriguing. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a single host who seemed overwhelmed and took a while to seat us. Despite not finding our reservation, she kindly accommodated us. Our waiter, Billy, immediately impressed us with his friendliness and professionalism. He addressed us by our last names and was knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent service as we ordered our drinks and meals. The bread service included a variety of breads, delicious Vermont butter, a delightful pepper jam, and even some unexpected mandarin oranges that added a unique touch. We both started with soups – the French onion and corn chowder. Unfortunately, neither soup was very hot, especially the corn chowder. The French onion soup came in a regular bowl with a small crouton and a slice of melted cheese on top, which was just okay. The corn chowder lacked seasoning and would have been better if it were hotter. For our main courses, we ordered the shepherd's pie and a special Black Pasta with Lobster. The shepherd's pie was a generous portion with various meats and topped with sweet potatoes, a unique twist on the traditional dish. It was probably the highlight of the meal. I was excited to try the Black Pasta with Lobster, especially after the waiter mentioned it was a bit spicy. However, the spice was overpowering, making it difficult to taste the lobster or the pasta itself. Despite my love of spicy food, the heat was too intense to fully enjoy the flavors. As the restaurant got busier, it took a while to receive the check."

"I recently ordered take-out from this restaurant on May 25, 2023. I got the pan-seared Branzino, which was seasoned well but unfortunately a bit too salty. It came with a medley of vegetables and mashed potatoes. I also ordered creamed spinach and tartufo. Aside from the excessive saltiness, the Branzino was cooked to perfection; the two filets were delicious when paired with the thyme sauce. The mixed vegetables—carrots, zucchini, broccoli, and summer squash—were sautéed in oil and garlic and were seasoned just right. The creamed spinach, made with a light cream sauce, was wonderfully light and flavorful. I will definitely return to dine in. The food arrived on time and hot. I’m giving it 4 stars due to the over-salted Branzino. This fish is quite delicate, so light seasoning is essential. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the saltiness. I haven’t tried the Tartufo yet, but I’ve never had a bad experience with it."

"Lou’s is located on the wharf, but unfortunately, the only view from there is of the street. We were seated towards the back, so we faced the alley instead. The restrooms are located outside and require going upstairs to reach a different section of the building. This wouldn't have been too inconvenient, but it was quite cold that day, and you don’t realize you’re going outside until you open the door. The tables are set very close together, making the entire room feel cramped. On a positive note, the clam chowder, hush puppies, and fish and chips are exceptional, and the lunch prices are very reasonable."

"Second time enjoying brunch here and love everything about this place. So beautiful and well decorated. Perfect balance of luxury but comfortable/relaxed/warm/inviting. Service was excellent and food was as well. Got the burger the first time. Got the caviar latkes both times (got a second order this time around because they are just so damn good. The quiche was really phenomenal, full of mushrooms, perfectly cooked, great crust. Not something I typically order but I asked the server what he really liked at the moment and that was one of his recs. The ahi tuna app was also very good-a light refreshing dish with some subtle Asian flavors. Would love to try the dinner menu sometime, def recommend the brunch. Enjoyed the patio! Also enjoyed their seasonal spritz!! (Aperol, rhubarb, grapefruit, topo)"
