"Made a reservation for 7pm, arrived at 6:50, our table was already set up for us. They showed us to our table...Our server for the evening, Andrea, came over, introduced herself, and was totally amazing throughout the evening...my husband and myself have been here several times but it was the first time here for the other few ppl with us...Andrea answered any questions we had about any items on the menu and told us about the specials of the day...we ordered a round of drinks and appetizers, the spinach and artichoke dip is excellent, the wings are seasoned just right and nice and tender...we had a variety of items from the menu for our dinner ranging from the New York strip steak, pork chops, their awesome patty melt, cobb salad with chicken, and the famous reuben sandwich.... everything was excellent and generous portions...most of us asked Andrea for a container cause we couldn't finish everything and wanted to save room for their decadent desserts waiting for us to choose from.. throughout the evening Andrea kept our drinks filled, my mom is a coffee drinker, and Andrea kept her cup filled...she answered any questions about different tequilas, definitely knowledgeable about anything we asked... everything was perfect, delicious food, comfortable booth, excellent service by Andrea, thank you Jim for taking my reservation, we had a great night...see you again soon"

Great food and service. Loved the Caesar salad and chicken piccata. The pork chop comes on a bed of risotto.Very good. Great prices of bottles of wine too. Fun cocktails.

My grandson's wedding here was really grand (pun). Great food and fast service was excellent and a joy to experience. iook no further for your next venue. I'm a fan. Dietary restrictions: They bent over backwards to carefully accommodate our gluten restrictions.

Lack of handicap parking near restaurant entrance. Butchers steak sandwich was full of gristle, remaining sandwiches were okay but nothing spectacular. Waitress forgot to remove steak sandwich from bill. Good atmosphere but will not be returning as there are better offerings in the area at this price point. Parking: Lacks handicap parking near restaurant entrance View menu

Have eaten here so many times most recently for Mother's Day Brunch. A great experience every time. THE VIEW amazing. The food always delicious with great portions and at a fair price. Love the lunch combos the Cuban Sammie is outrageously good. As are the Cheese Curds. Unique specials and great desserts too. Service is always excellent great wait staff and management team. HIGHLY recommend!

First time here. I came for a good friend's birthday party. The wait staff was excellent, the food was good, and the room setup was amazing. This party was held in the Great Hall, not the actual tavern. I will say when there are a lot of people the noise level is very high and it can be hard to hear. I'm not sure if there is any way to install noise dampening items without messing up the look of the room? But all in all, it was a great place to host a party.

Went for Mother's Day Brunch. Last time we went was pre-Covid so we were expecting the awesome buffet. It was a special menu instead. No problem, I should have done my research. The food was very good, waiter was very busy and slow with drink refills so it was understandable. The only issue is when my daughter found a dead bug in her dessert. They were very apologetic and brought her another one quickly. I was a little surprised they still charged us for it, but I wasn't going to make a fuss about $9 on a $200 bill. We will return. I believe that I have reviewed McWethy's in the past, but they recently added a Lenten menu to their regular menu and, in addition to other appealing seafood items they had a Shrimp Po'Boy that caught my attention. My husband, daughter and I went today and we all ordered one. It did not disappoint, in fact it was better than some shrimp po'boys that I've had in Florida. The shrimp was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly, there was an elote slaw , chipotle ranch on a ciabatta roll. I hope they keep it on the menu after Lent is over, or at least add it into some sort of rotation it was that good!

Well that was special…just pulled a long hair out of the Mac Cheese I ordered for carryout yesterday! I was never so grossed out and wish I had seen it yesterday before I ate half of it! Went for the leftovers for dinner tonight along with the Brussels I also ordered and there it was! Mind you I drove over 15 miles to and from to get my two favorite menu items. This is completely unacceptable .. plus tipping the girl who handed me a bag 2.00 ! That’s it for me going back there and also noticed the portions are always smaller for carryout orders but the prices the same. Anyway the Mac n Cheese is now in the garbage so what do I do now for dinner?!?!?

"Ats-a-Nice Pizza in Romeoville: A Heartbreaking Decline After 30+ Years of Loyalty We’ve been loyal patrons of Ats-a-Nice Pizza for over 30 years, but after our visit on January 4, 2025, it’s safe to say that we will not be returning. This once-beloved establishment has taken a sharp turn under new management, and sadly, the quality, service, and overall experience have declined so drastically that it no longer resembles the restaurant we cherished for decades. Our group of four included two elderly individuals, both of whom had fond memories of dining here. Unfortunately, those memories were tarnished last night. The food quality has plummeted: pizzas were sparsely topped, sauces were noticeably skimpy, and the signature Paulie’s original thin crust—always a highlight—was undercooked. The BBQ chicken pizza was particularly disappointing; the chicken tasted rubbery, as though it had been sitting out far too long, leaving us feeling unwell after eating it. To make matters worse, when we went to settle the substantial bill, one of my companions attempted to use a Restaurant . com discount coupon—a program this restaurant has participated in for years. Instead of honoring it or politely informing us of a policy change, the waiter returned with a message from the manager, accusing my companion of being a “scammer.” This baseless accusation was not only insulting but deeply upsetting, especially given the circumstances. When we asked to speak with the manager to clarify, they refused to come out of the back, leaving the waiter—who was visibly uncomfortable—to handle the fallout. This behavior felt cowardly and disrespectful, especially toward customers who have supported the establishment for decades. If the new management has decided to discontinue participation in community programs like Restaurant . com, they owe it to their patrons to communicate that clearly and respectfully, rather than resorting to accusations and hiding from accountability. Furthermore, the current state of the food does a disservice to the legacy of Paulie and the original spirit of Ats-a-Nice Pizza. We left feeling disappointed, disrespected, and heartbroken. Losing customers who have stood by your restaurant for over three decades is not a sustainable way to run a business. Until this management demonstrates respect for its patrons and a commitment to restoring the quality and service that once made this place special, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere."
