"Visited for the first time today for their Sunday Brunch. The restaurant is lovely and you have a view of the waterfront from nearly every table. The waitstaff was exceptional and cordial. Drinks were brought expediently, water filled before glassesbecame empty, plates cleared quickly, and checked often to see if we needed anything. The food was very good as well. You hadyour standard breakfast offerings plus a custom omelet station. The bacon was well prepared and the grits were good. Those aretwo difficult things for a lot of restaurants to get right, but Jackson's pulled it off. The grits had a few lumps by the time Igot around to them but they still had great flavor and were overall creamy. I liked that the eggs were soft as well, overcookedscrambled eggs are just not appetizing. There was an assortment of seafood dishes that I did not partake in, but my friendsenjoyed them. I enjoyed my lunch selections even more than breakfast. I sampled the brisket, which was so flavorful andcompletely tender, chicken that was in an olive sauce, olive feta salad, and probably my favorite of the regular food itemswas the flank steak with yucca, amazing! I would suggest adding a couple more side dish items, there were some baby potatoes, but mashed potatoes, a rice dish, or mixed veggies would have been nice as well. (And I'll be honest, there might have been somemore options that I missed) I wasn't very tempted by the dessert options. The mint chocolate macaron, and the bread puddingwere the stand outs here. I wish I had saved room for more of the bread pudding! People will balk at the $40 price for thismeal, but honestly it's not that bad. It's a nice restaurant with a great view, attentive staff, and for the most part reallygood food that you can enjoy as much of as you like. Something else I appreciated was that their chairs are comfortable andvery lightweight. Very easy to pull out and sit close to the table. I wish more restaurants would follow suit"

"We hadn’t been back to the Turn House since before the pandemic. We were regulars before the renovation and the food was consistently good even though the space was dated. Now, it seems things have flipped. The food was bland needing more depth and flavor. It wasn’t inedible but it wasn’t enjoyable especially for the price. We started with Steamed Mussels in what looked the color of curry. The dish lacked flavor and dipping the bread in the sauce resulted in moist bread with very little flavor. I ordered French Onion soup and Tuna Tartare. The soup tasted like watered down beef broth and I didn’t taste any onion even though there were onions in it. Best thing was the cheese which did have flavor. The Tuna Tartare looked appealing but, again, lacked flavor. The tuna was tossed in some sauce, but it either wasn’t enough sauce or the sauce lacked flavor. My husband ordered the salmon with a cold sauce lining the plate. You could tell, the sauce was supposed to add to the dish but it was refrigerator cold with everything else being hot. The sautéed potato cubes didn’t have flavor. Thankfully, we asked for salt and pepper and that helped us season our food, but for the price, we expected much better. The renovation was done so well and you’d expect the food to match the update. The one thing we did appreciate was the manager coming to the tables and asking how things were and he accepted the feedback we provided him well. We don’t expect to return anytime soon but hope they do improve."

"We enjoyed our experience in Keith Young?s Steakhouse. I made a last minute reservation by Open Table. We arrived a few minutes early and sat right away. Our waiter arrived shortly after and started running through the menu. Fresh hot bread was served while we looked at our first selections. The wine selection was really good. In particular, there is a wide range of red and whiskeys. For beginners we enjoyed the Calamari and the tomato soup. The soup was particularly interesting because it was not sour and had a nice roasted tomato taste. For entrees we had redfish, carved veal and crab meat au gratin. The redfish was very fresh. The crab and sauce complemented the fish well. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The crab and calf dishes were enjoyed. The proportion of veins was considerable. We added a page of roared tomatoes. They were bribed with Parmesan and Crustini crumbs, which were beautifully paired with the fish. For dessert we had bread pudding, raspberry sorbet and chocolate mousse. The sorbet had an incredibly intense raspberry taste very good. The bread pudding was decadent, and the mousse was sweet and creamy. The service was top notch. Our waiter was friendly and informative. The worrying staff ensured that our waters were always filled and that the table was unlimited. The owner walked around and met us when we were done, he was very nice and personal. The Maitre d? remembered wishing me a happy birthday when we stepped out what underlined the extraordinary attention to detail. This is definitely one of the best restaurants on the north coast."
