"Food was delicious! We had the clams on the half shell, They were fresh although smaller than normal. The lobster bisque was fantastic, with plenty of lobster chunks throughout. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare with a slight crust. The side of mashed potatoes was ultra smooth and creamy and the sautéed spinach was well flavored. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, however he came off as stiff and a tad on the unfriendly side. Maybe a better description would be emotionless. The rest of the staff we encountered were friendly and engaging. I would not hesitate to dine here again Dietary restrictions: My wife has a gluten allergy and was easily and expertly accomodated"

I usually pack my food for the beach. if I had known how good this place is, I would have skipped preparation and eaten every day here. had the plant-based bogogi tacos and streetmais. but I forgot a photo! the menu is so marked that I didn't have to ask annoying. they made their own vegan ice. "I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Eddie Murphy's 501 pizza deserves a five star. This is not your basic pizza place (which we have so many basic pizza spots in this area). Whenever I go, I'll make sure I ordered something new. Last night I ordered the chicken and Broccoli alfredo Pasta in a bread bowl. I was expecting to get something along the pancakes, but I was so wrong! They used their own handmade dough in a deep 9in. pie pan and filled it up with their own homemade chicken broccoli Alfredo. Then, also with Mozzarella above! I had a few, I gave something to my daughter and my son. It's the next day and I'm still eating remnants. You will not be hungry or regret to order something on the menu! All bread products, gravy 's and sauces (from buffalo, BBQ to Alfredo 's and marinades) are handmade, including pesto. The menu is so diverse and also offers any kind of diet including gluten-free, salad lovers and picky eater."

"I've always seen this restaurant on the way home. It looked very interesting. Today, I and my friend finally have the chance to check them out. We were satisfied with the service there! The restaurant has a local atmosphere, offers unique food options, and all of our meals were fantastic. Keep in mind that the restaurant is on the smaller side, so it's best to make a reservation through Open Table to secure a spot. "Like an old supper club. You walk in and are greeted by a large podium. Specials were Prime Rib and Crab Legs....separate dishes. Live piano playing which adds to ambiance for good or ill. They have a salad bar, which is ok and has soup on it. Portions seem plentiful. there is a bar separate from the dining room so if that is your taste one can go in there. Place was crowded but got reservation right away. It is a popular place."

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"We love this restaurant. We prefer the bar area. The food is great, the servers are super nice. I have had in other instances bad experience with ordering food that was not great like the Lobster at this restaurant is dry and chewy. One time they had some strange black pasta that was impossible to eat and thank God is not part of the menu any longer. The sushi at this restaurant is really good, saladas and soups are great."

"Had dinner at Harry’s the previous evening. Have been here once or twice in the past. Found this to be a good restaurant again with our experience last night. We were seated at a low top table Harry’s has a mix of low and high and also the obligatory TV’s throughout the room. It was busy but not too crowded with a fair amount of Uber of DoorDash runners coming in and out which means the food is popular. The menu is typical bar fare for the most part. Appetizers sandwiches and burgers, though many had small twists to them that made them more interesting. They also have about a half dozen entrees as well which also were interesting. Our server was quick to water us and get our drinks. There is a small selection of craft beers on tap, one of which I thoroughly enjoyed. For dinner we ordered the mozzarella burger with fries, the salmon BLT with a salad and I had the short ribs on mashed potatoes with sautéed veggies mixed in. We had a mozzarella stick appetizer that was rather bland and something I wouldn’t order again. The short ribs were very good. Nice sauce made everything in the bowl jump a bit in flavor. The veggies were excellent, brussel sprouts, carrots and some other ones that I can’t remember. The potatoes were creamy and added a nice base to the other ingredients. The short rib was properly down fork friendly and tasty, but I think for the price the meat could have been more plentiful. I’m guessing 4 5 ounces of meat. While the server was excellent, the food seemed to come rather quickly. I made a joke because it was less than 5 minutes for the appetizer and the main course wasn’t that far behind. I don’t think they were rushing us but the pace in the kitchen may be off a bit. The ambiance is typical bar and grill, though not shabby or tacky. A bit too dark though even for a bar. If you don’t mind that and bar noise this is a good spot. Would I eat there again for sure. If I lived somewhat closer I’d put it into rotation for sure."

"First time visit to the Hickory House and it won 't be the last! Stopped by on a Saturday evening and was told it would be a 20-40 min wait to be seated. We were seated in 20 min. Our server Alexis was just fantastic. Very attentive, super friendly and considerate of her coworkers. The wait for the food after ordering was average for how busy the restaurant was. The food however was far from average. Everything was excellent! From the sweet butter and crunchy bread to the perfectly prepared, smoky, moist, huge rack of ribs, no detail was missed.The BBQ sauce itself, had about 4 distinct flavors...that 's a sauce made with care. The loaded baked potato is a delicious, cheesy smoked bacon, homemade sour cream and chive topped, meal by itself! The atmosphere is charming, relaxing and clean. All staff encountered were friendly and attentive. Prices are about average for excellent BBQ. The Hickory House is definitely on my go to list for exceptional food and service!"

"I have been to Wesley's countless times over the years. The food isn't the best, but it certainly isn't bad either. I've always liked to play some keno and watch while I eat. Then grab some Powerball or Mega Millions tickets and a bottle of something on the way out. Was in on a Friday night when it was realively busy. It took 15 minutes for a server to get drinks, 35 minutes for an appetizer and another 35 minutes for the main meal. I looked up and realized from the time I sat down until the time I finished my dinner, almost an hour and a half had elapsed way too long. The food was good though. 3 stars because I had great servers in the past at Wesley's, so I know it was just an off night it happens. Of course I will definitely return, and I will write my next review I am hoping for a 4 5 star next time."

"What an absolutely horrible experience. Came in about 530, the crowd wasn 't bad. We were seated quickly. And that 's where our good service ended. Ashley (dark hair with an arm full of tattoos), apparently there is 3 and I don 't want the wrong one getting the bad heat. We were at our table for a little over 2 hours and she checked on us twice. Waited over a half hour for our food, I 'm sure this was not the fault of the kitchen but our lowsy server. When our check came we were told our to go order was being boxed. 25 minutes later, no box. Our server has checked on the tables around us and made sure not to Make eye contact with us. We hollered to get her attention to which she had a very nasty attitude and told me there is no reason to 'yell at her ' we paid our bill and went to the front to wait for our to go order. Another a couple minutes go by and we are told again that our order is being boxed and she is waiting on the kitchen. More time passes and she bring me our Togo and with a very snarky attitude tells me 'it was sitting in the table for you ' after she had already seen us waiting and the front AND acknowledged us there. After a brief conversation with the manager I do belive this issue will be resolved and I do hope we can have an enjoyable experience next time. Our first time in and we were very disappointed."
