"I am really sad to say that this was one of the worst dinner experiences I had. I had high expectations because I've heard of Kincaid for years and it was extremely disappointing. 1, there were openings on every 15 min brand that should have been a red flag for a Saturday evening in downtown St Paul; at 630 for 2 people, no problem. 2, the slowest service I've ever had. 3, I specifically asked if they had the best rib when we were greeted first, what they did, but then 2 times later something was adjusted – first with the chef then a second adjustment from the manager. We both wanted a 16-oz primary rib, and there were miscommunications for size / cut availability, so they gave us (2) 12 oz and shared the end piece between us. That was a first and a very strange substitution for me. Positive note, it became perfection (for both of us) and delicately cooked, but it was the thinnest cut of prime I ever had. Somewhere else I had Prime Rib it is easy a thick plate 1” in the thickness. That was as thin as a flank steak. 4, we ended with no to a free dessert and got no box for the rest because we feared it would take so long to get it. For a greeting, 2 apps (shrimp cocktail and shrimp) and cocktails (non-alcoholic) it took an hour. My date was offered a 2nd sprite, but I wasn't, and I never got a refill offered. Overall really disappointing. The professionals were the view we had from the windows and our society. Unfortunately, we will not return and recommend it to anyone. I hope it turns around because the atmosphere and location are beautiful. Definitely not worth the time or money. If you are planning to go somewhere after dinner, plan here extra 2 hours."
