"My mom loves this place and anytime she's in town, she wants to go there to eat. Service is always hit or miss. This time it was a miss. Food and drinks came out just fine but when it came time for our bill that I asked for, it took asking 3 more people and 20 minutes just to get it. Back to the food; the queso was super watery and didn't even resemble what queso should look or even taste like. We didn't touch it after our first bite. The fajita taco salad was good but the enchiladas were dry. It was kinda disappointing because we really used to love this place. Maybe they were just having one of those off days. I'm sure we'll be back because this is my mom's favorite place but I can definitely think of much better mexican food to consume elsewhere in Houston. I'm genuinely disappointed."

"We had never tried this restaurant before, so we decided to place a takeout order tonight. They were quick to pick up the phone, and even though our order wasn't on the menu, they had no problem preparing exactly what we wanted! We ordered chicken and steak burritos topped with queso, along with beans and rice on the side. We picked up our food just 15 minutes after ordering, and it was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious and perfect! I highly recommend dining here! I would share pictures, but the food went too fast for that! Thank you, Brentwood Cinco De Mayo! The food exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back soon!"

"We went out for dinner and encountered a small problem with the chips and fries—they were incredibly spicy, almost as if they had been cooked in peppery oil. When we brought this to the owner's attention, he appeared to be intoxicated and responded defensively, arguing with us as though we were being rude. We were simply offering a suggestion, but he raised his voice instead. This behavior was upsetting to my sister, to the point of her being in tears, and we've decided never to return to this restaurant. If you don't mind that kind of service, you might still enjoy it, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone. BE WARNED!!!"

"Cinco de Mayo offers truly authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was attentive, and the guacamole was outstanding, as was my Pollo Encremado—chicken and mushrooms in a creamy spinach and sour cream sauce. My husband ordered the Enchiladas Del Norte, which features two grilled chicken or steak enchiladas made with flour tortillas; he found it to be average. However, he agreed that my dish was the standout, and he also enjoyed the guacamole. We shared a House Margarita, which was smooth and delicious."

"I grew up in cincy and tried all kinds of cincy style chili. the most famous places are gold star and skyline chili, there are also blue ash chili. until I tried dixie chili, blue ash was my favorite chili location. Now I can't see that I eat something other than dixie! it is different from the other cincy style chili, to the best way possible! it is not overwhelming in season. some chili are in my opinion too sweet and sharp. dixie makes a good work to balance all aromatic aromes. I believe the reason why dixie chili is the best because they are one of the original recipes for cincy style chili; this place has one of the oldest cincy chili recipes. I'm a little bit of a stratified buff to this thema. Anyway, I would highly recommend diving the 4-way or the chili man! both were really the best cincy chili I ever tasted! I just can't stop riding this place! I have eaten three times in the last two days. that should tell them it's really good to eat. every time I came in, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. the place is super clean, the music was on an acceptable level every time I went to eat. the one part is that there is only a bathroom stall for the women toilet, but at least there was no huge line to use it. in hours nobody else will have a good choice. it will be a bit crowded to dinner time. I would recommend to everyone to try this place at least once."

"there were some other chili-palors on my wishlist before empress, but we had to get gas, and the tank where we stopped was right next door an imperial. I took that as a sign. I still wanted to try it sometime because empress is very important in the history of cincinnati chili.. on the one hand, empress is often credited with the first Cincinnati style chili. two brothers created it and began to serve it at their hot dog stand in 1922 before they opened their first salon in the inner city of cincinnati (because this situation is no longer open). Moreover, the people who started dixie chili and skyline were first with empress. When we moved to the parking lot and found it almost completely, I took it as a good sign. certainly this place seems to have its tags. I ordered a simple chili again. I enjoyed the taste of the taste when the bark base contrasts with the expected cinnamon taste. it seemed less sweet on my palette than skyline. I thought dixie was a little deeper. but I also enjoyed this chili. 4s for this trip were my opinions: "
