"I experienced true Greek cooking with a modern flair at the newest location of @vaskouzina. They have two locations: downtown Roswell and the newer, larger location in Alpharetta. As soon as you walk in you are transported to Greece with the music, the ambiance, and the food. Whole fish are sitting atop ice for your choosing as you walk to your table. Such a great spot for a date night or to take your out of town friends. I was most impressed by the Saganaki which is aflaming cheese that literally comes out on fire and the chargrilled Lavraki which is a whole Mediterranean sea bass that is deboned tableside by the chef! You have to check this place out. The layout is absolutely beautiful. I love thatyou can do a little shopping before or afterward at the in store market that is stocked with Greek oils and other essentials to elevate your at home meals. The baklava bites and cheesecake for dessert was the icing on top! This was some ofthe freshest seafood that I have ever had. Everything was so flavorful and delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be back. Thank you for having me! "I recently wound up coming here two days in a row. I was up in the area for a friend's show around the corner and we stopped in after to get some food. This is a fast casual place with a similar approach as Chipotle in terms of how you can order your food, but everything is homemade and the ingredients are higher quality. You can get a plate, sandwich (2 diff sizes), or salad. They also have things like meat pies and moussaka and daily specials in terms of the meats they serve. It was a bit later (maybe 9:30pm) by the time we got there. I ordered a salad with gyro meat. The salads were huge and they were very generous with the portions of meat they put in their meals. Because it was late, the meat was a bit dry and salty but the flavors were good. I loved the spices they put on the pita bread they throw it on the grill right before they give it to you which gives it a nice crispness on the edges. All the veggies in the salad were crisp and fresh and I loved the sauces they had on the side (tzatziki and the house aioli mount olympus were my choices). The reason I came back the next day was the DESSERT CASE. They had some serious and very unique desserts and I wanted to come back and try them out. This time I wound up getting a lamb shawarma salad, which was super moist and flavorful much better than the gyro meat. For dessert, my friend and I shared a cannoli cream puff, Greek candy bar, and a piece of the salted caramel baklava cheesecake. They were so good! I'm not normally a fusion enthusiast, but the salted caramel baklava cheesecake changed my heart this was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. My friend's favorite dessert of the three was the Greek candy bar it had a few different layers with different textures and flavors and it was also a standout. They also had baklava ice cream that I haven't tried yet. Everyone who worked here was super friendly! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in North Hollywood for that cheesecake!"

"We went to Laporta for dinner on 7/12/24. We were visiting with friends for dinner when the singer of the group took it upon herself to take to the microphone to say publicly she did want us talking at our dinner table and did not care for our topics of conversation. This was OUTRAGEOUS! I was shocked that a performer would be so disrespectful to not only her fellow musicians but the patrons and the restaurant which has provided them the venue to perform. We have enjoyed dining at Laporta in the past with other groups playing. The food is great and the wait staff are very attentive and kind. Unfortunately, we have been purposefully made to feel unwelcome and will not be returning until we receive confirmation this kind of treatment of their patrons will not be tolerated. The Satin Doll Trio/Quartet may want to look for a vocalist with more sensibility to not turn away business. Additionally, Laporta may want to review their collaboration with someone who has such little regard for their business and brand. We spent over $600 tonight for 4 people only to be insulted. We spoke with the manager twice that night and NO attempt was made on the part of the manager to rectify the sitaution. No correction was made on the part of the vocalist while we were there. No offer was made to myself or the rest of our table to offer any consessions due to the disrepect we received from their performing artist. We requested a call back today, as well, to discuss the situation and no one has reached out. We are very dissapointed."
