"The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The South American cuisine is truly excellent—I particularly loved the chicken cheese cachapas. Unfortunately, the waitstaff was quite lacking. When we requested water at the table, the waiter would only bring a glass for one person and then would vanish for 30 to 45 minutes. Even when we asked for water for everyone, he would still only bring one additional glass to the table. It was quite perplexing."

"My bf had previously tried the ceviche from here and enjoyed it. We came on Friday, unfortunately closer to closing. They still took us in. Our server took our drink order and never came back. At that point another lady took our order since they were nearing closing time. We ordered a few beers and a seafood molcajete. It was fully loaded for a great price. The quality of the seafood was good too. All in all I believe this is a hidden gem in Whittier. It's not a fancy place by any means but it has good food, cheap beer, they have various TVs all over and they were playing the lakers game."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"I travel to OCMD often and have food allergies so I follow a mostly vegan diet. Papis Tacos is always consistent with their high quality choices for those with dietary issues. Typically I dine alone or get food to go. This past visit my husband and teenage niece joined me. They had the pork and chicken tacos and rated them exceptional. Im excited to bring my dog to the outdoor patio and treat her to dinner soon."

"This place is so unprofessional, especially the OWNER'S DAUGHTER.I came in today to meet up with family members that were already here. I came in with a small coffee cup from another coffee shop and was told by the hostess that she would allow it today, but that next time that I refrain from bringing outside drinks otherwise they would ask me to throw it away. I apologized and thanked her for letting me know, as I didn't know. When I sat down the hostess came out again and told me that the owner's daughter was here and that she said that I needed throw that cup away. I said okay, and asked if I could have an extra cup to pour my coffee in and throw away my cup. They told me no, that they couldn't do that.Then they told me that if I was going to order something I needed to order a drink. I said no, I'll take some water. Which then they said they would CHARGE ME FOR WATER because I need to have a drink purchase along with my food otherwise they would not serve me. I said no, so they kicked me out.I have been coming here FOR YEARS and have been coming less and less due to the quality of service and food. The only reason I came today was to spend sometime with my family, but will not be coming here again.I understand that having a drink wasn't allowed, but the hostess lady said it was okay and made me aware of their policy. But to have the damn audacity to push me to throw my cup away and then force me to buy a beverage with a meal otherwise they weren't going to serve me? Even for a damn cup of water?They're completely out their minds.Do better, or your barely surviving business will end up being closed."

"So this weekend was my first time in Milwaukee (I 'm from Texas). Brunch was a block or 2 away from the hotel I was staying at so I knew when i dragged myself out of bed id want to head there. I walked in and my server greeted me right away, and gave me a little tour of the menu, and when I saw they had biscuits and gravy as a benedict, I know I had to try it. Biscuits and gravy are a big deal in the south as most know, and let me say these do not disappoint. The gravy is heavenly! They also have their own brand of coffee, and while it was crazy strong, the flavor was amazing. They had alcoholic coffee drinks which I soooo wanted to try, but with my whole day ahead of me, I couldn 't. Maybe next time I 'm in the area, this place I 'll definitely go to again Otherwise, the atmosphere of the restaurant was kinda cute. Blue and yellow are the theme, making everything feel bright and happy, and my server was cheery as well. I think my favorite part had to be the clocks above the bar which I WISH I got a picture of. They are so cute."

"The fish tacos I had were honestly the best I've ever tasted! The grilled fish was expertly cooked and incredibly delicious. The huevos con jamón is true comfort food. The tortillas were also fantastic. They were out of the mole this time, so I’ll definitely try it next time! The staff was really friendly, too."

"This was my first visit to this restaurant. I arrived just before closing and was the only customer, but they still welcomed me and served me. I ordered the steak and onions, along with refried beans and rice, and it was absolutely delicious—my toddler even enjoyed it! "Chef Rafael and his son Jesus catered my rehearsal dinner at the flower shop right next to their restaurant on Montrose, and I couldn't be happier! The food was outstanding! We had a fruit platter, a veggie platter, salad, stuffed chicken, and veggie lasagna, and there was plenty to go around—all at a very reasonable price. I was impressed by their prompt delivery, professionalism, and quick clean-up. They truly are some of the nicest people in the industry! I highly recommend this family-owned small business to anyone in need of professional catering for an event."

"If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go! I was pleasantly surprised to discover a spot that surpasses the infamous carne asada burrito. So far, I've tried the Tacos de Canasta, which are definitely my favorites, and the Pambazo was absolutely delicious. The Pozole was really good, and the Quesadillas and Huaraches are not far behind. I've sampled many, if not all, of the so-called Mexican restaurants in the area, and I finally have a favorite. I can tell they prepare everything from scratch, as the same team that used to operate a popular weekend spot is now cooking right in front at this venue. It's a fantastic place!"
