They had a huge option for a well priced lunch. The amount of food was perfect! Even took a little for the road that was left over. Hands down this is an amazing date location for anytime of day. "I ordered a rainbow roll mango sticky rice last night, it was perfect. Ordered three rolls that were a total joke tipped big got ripped off. Can?t help but be MORE than frustrated with this. I absolutely feel ripped off. I paid WAY too much for what I got I said DO NOT PUT GINGER ON ANY OFF THE PLATES, I?m allergic to it. And, they put it on every plate. Just so frustrated. I know not even worth bothering calling to complain, they don?t care. But, had to express my frustration somehow. You can see this difference in the pictures. Just wow! So mad!!"

It 's a clear syrupy sauce with fresh bell peppers cucumbers (I think). Sooogood! ? "Pat was an amazing server and the food was outrageously delicious and Beautiful on the plate and in the bowl! Their 100% willingness to keep our dishes completely vegan was awesome! The Summer roll minus the shrimp was delectable and the Tom Kha and the Tom Yum soups were phenomenal! Red curry very spicy was perfectly both scrumptious and spicy but in the most flavorful way! "I've actually only ordered delivery here from Doordash but this Thai Time location has steamed potstickers which are my favorite and the other locations don't have them anymore. Also, at this location (downtown) I've noticed that they haven't changed any of the recipes when the other location (north park) seems to have made some changes that I don't like as much. Favorite dishes are the green curry with mock duck (just delicious, I'm not vegetarian or vegan) with white or jasmine rice level 5 (out of 10)/medium spice, which is pretty spicy, the drunken noodles with chicken, same spice level, the fresh spring rolls with either shrimp or tofu (with peanut dipping sauce) and the steamed potstickers. SO good and the downtown location is always tastier for some reason. I've only had delivery, so I've never actually been in or seen the place. Call ahead for hours as they vary from what's posted online, I've noticed.Vegetarian options: Great for vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and/or gluten free options which do NOT lack in taste.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, vegan and/or vegetarian options are widely available."

"Their curries are among the best I've ever had, and the tofu dishes are absolutely delicious. The sweet potato tempura rolls are the tastiest I've encountered as well. Everything on their menu is fantastic and offers great value. Since I recently moved, this restaurant is the one I miss the most! Whenever I'm in the area, I make a point to stop by for their Tofu Panang Curry paired with a sweet potato tempura roll. You definitely need to check it out!"

"We live in Raleigh, NC, and recently visited DC for a family reunion. Back in April, we had ordered takeout from Neisha Thai and enjoyed the food, but the service left much to be desired. Tonight, after a long drive, we were hoping for a nice dinner. While my husband and I traveled from Raleigh, my brother and his family came from New York. We arrived at the restaurant at 9 PM and were seated without issue. However, our waitress, an older woman with a rather unhappy demeanor, seemed rather displeased. I'm not sure what her problem was, but it was clear she didn't want to be there."

"The traditional Thai restaurant you’re looking for! WOW, did this Yellow Curry and their Pad Thai ensure I make a return visit. Some restaurants are really weirded out when I say I don’t want meat in my curry. I prefer tofu or just the veggies and broth. However, this tofu was cooked to perfection. A little sautéed exterior really gives the tofu that bite that most people are missing when used in place of chicken. The spice level I chose was medium and it was exactly that. I could have gone hotter but sometimes you never know what you’re getting yourself into at a new spot. Service was also wonderful and attentive. Always ensuring our drinks were full. We even tried the Mango sticky rice and I’m so glad we did. Of course my leftover curry was even better the next day. Thank you!"

"Peanut Sauce is awesome! I've gone a few times and have been happy with my food every time. The fried avocado appetizer is a dream come true crunchy on the outside, creamy and warm on the inside, and VEGAN. It's a bit pricy at $6.50, but soo worth it. The avocado curry is also REALLY good, with a green curry base, eggplants, baby corn, basil, avocado, green peppers, and mushrooms. You can get fres tofu, meat,or more vegetables for free, or fried avocado for an extra dollar. I've also had the panang curry, which is pretty standard for a Thai restaurant, but you can get any curry dish with brown rice, which I appreciate. A friend who is also vegan got the pad thai and asked for no egg, but then found egg in the dish. The waitress apologized, but apparently this has been a problem with other people, too. The Thai iced tea with coconut milk is delicious too!"

"Very disappointed with the experience here especially after being so excited for our date night to try it out based on the great reviews. Our reservation was for We arrived and sat inside. We ordered our drinks and after receiving them started ordering appetizers, the waitress advised us to order our entree as well because the kitchen is closing, the restaurant closes at Online has the closing at but we assumed they would at least let us eat enjoy the food and drinks without excessive rushing. Wrong! The patrons that were still there were given their checks to pay and clean up was in full swing, even cleaning our table picking up straw wrapper extra plates as we drank. When our meals arrived, not even minutes later someone came over to ask if we’d like togo boxes. The waitress was watching our table on and off so we felt super rushed and the whole date vibe was just killed. My boyfriend lost his appetite and as soon as our waitress returned from sweeping the outside area we requested the check and the togo boxes. We ended up over in the Mizner Park area and finished our night with drinks and a snack at the bar inside Yard House, which totally redeemed that crappy experience. What makes it even worse is that the food was delicious at Lemongrass drinks not so much. But now we’re totally turned off to return a second time. Instead of having reservations available on Opentable they should close the window earlier and definitely update hours of operation. Also, when we checked in at the front with the hostess we should have been told they’re closing at so we could make the decision to eat elsewhere"

"curry puffs: this appetizer was delicious. they offer plucked gurke and swirl. the curry itself is not liquidity and has a maische kartoffel texture. it would be good if they had something dripping for it. they offer 5 pieces. tom yum: the suppe was very overwhelming. the suppe was extremely sour and I had better suppe. a small size can feed 2 people. I would pass on the tom yum. pad kee mao (drunken noodles:) the noodles were delicious and spicy. I would come back for this one. mango paradise: delicious, but too expensive. this dessert was the most expensive thing we ordered. it is in the grunde mango sticky rice with whip cream and ice. the ice is vanilla flavor. the crepe gives him a sushi vibe. Service:Service was very incompatible. the main court came out quickly. dessert came out very slowly. the time for them to grab the scary and to float the card was very long. to go box was fast. seat: inside and outside seat. many seats. parking space: parking space for shared plaza."

"Our dining experience felt quite rushed. Several times, both the server and the busboy approached our table to clear our plates, even though we still had food left on them. They kept asking if we needed anything else, but we made it clear that we wanted to stay and chat for a while. When the check arrived, we realized we had forgotten to order something to go. "Ordered take out from 5 Star Thai after seeing the great reviews and wanting to try a different thai restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, the food was shockingly bad. I try to avoid writing negative reviews, but it’s worthwhile for people to know and I really hope the restaurant will take this feedback and improve. We need a great Thai option in the area. Here’s what we go: Steamed Chicken Dumpling: very dense, lacked flavor, tasted like a steamed chicken nugget, if the chicken in the chicken nugget was dense. Tom Kha Gai This was maybe the best item. Still not the best Tom Kha Gai I’ve had, and far from it, but totally fine. Duck very unevenly cooked. Parts were tasty and parts were so over cooked it was inedible. Pad Thai with Chicken chicken was very dry. Pad Thai was the worst I’ve ever had. Lacked the depth of flavor that a pad Thai should have. It was really just noodle! It was missing all the ingredients of a proper pad Thai. Mango sticky rice This is one of my Favorite desserts, so let’s say I’ve had lots of Mango Sticky Rice. 5 star Thai’s version was a gelatinous mess. Rice was gloopy. Mango lacked flavor, but can’t blame the restaurant for that. Next time will need to order when mango is in season. Overall, giving the place 2 stars instead of 1 because the majority of the food was at least edible."

"I've been coming here for at least 15 years and find the food and service have been consistent all that time, even with a change of ownership. This is my go-to restaurant as I know that the food will be consistently good no matter the dish and it's better than other places in town for taste, service, and price. They will cook food to the level of spiciness you want. Oh and they make the best Mango Sticky Rice on the planet!!!"
