"My husband and I were in town on business, and were specifically looking for an Indian restaurant. We are very glad TripAdvisor reviews led us to Saffron. We arrived just as they opened for their dinner service, at 5 PM, on a week night. The restaurant was empty, but we were met with a big hello and smile from the young lady at the front reception area. We ordered the Butter Chicken $16 made with the addition of coconut milk per my inquiry, because I like coconut , the Chicken Begam Bahar $17 , garlic naan bread $3.25 , and a mango lassi $4. They also brought us a basket with, I think, papadam crackers, and 2 different dipping sauces. The latter was complimentary. Our meals were served fairly quickly, and oh my! OUTSTANDING! Everything, right down to the crackers, was absolutely delicious. And the lassi was the best I’ve ever had very rich, and creamy. As an aside, patrons did start to fill up the restaurant as the night went on. As per the small ish parking lot right under the foot bridge, it’s probably best if you can dine earlier in the evening than later so you can snag a spot. But nonetheless, eat at Saffron whenever you get the opportunity. We travel to the DC area often, and will return to Saffron. I also want to say that if you have time, walk around the back of the little strip mall to visit the Indian and Middle Eastern grocers, which are almost next to each other. Both are gems, as well! In summation: 1. GREAT food 2. Friendly, prompt service 3. Clean tables 4. Good sized portions 5. Bonus grocers in rear of complex"

"I recently stumbled upon a charming little restaurant that offers delicious food—especially the chicken Biryani! The hospitality here is truly exceptional. Owned by a husband and wife team, I have a quick story to share about my experience with them. While exploring the area, I was on the lookout for some takeout Indian/Pakistani dishes featuring lamb or goat. It was lunchtime, and after seeing the rave reviews for Bombay Chaat House on Google, I decided to give it a try. The owner greeted me at the door, showed me to a table, and asked what I would like to order. I explained what I was looking for, and he headed to the kitchen to consult with his wife. When he returned, he informed me that the only dish ready at the moment was her chicken Biryani. I mentioned that it wasn't on my radar, but he was so enthusiastic about it that he insisted I take a small portion to try, completely free of charge! If I had cash on me, I would have happily paid for it, but he was so gracious that he wouldn’t accept anything. Once I got the food back to my hotel and tasted it, I was blown away by the incredible flavors! I briefly considered going elsewhere, but I really should have trusted the owner’s recommendation from the start. I highly recommend this place, not just for the amazing food, but also for the kindness I experienced. This small, unassuming restaurant is run by wonderful people who truly care. If you’re looking for authentic, great food, you must visit this gem!"
