"They have a great Indian buffet Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with all the options and they keep bringing out fresh trays of hot food. Plus, the spiced hot tea with milk that's part of the buffet is delicious. The owner and the servers are all very friendly, too. Definitely recommended for low-key Indian soul food."

"We arrived 10 minutes before the restaurant formally opened, and, were turned away from sitting inside to wait. This first impression was not good. The restaurant struggled with special orders. No butter on naan. Replace chicken pieces with cauliflower florets. They seemed disorganized since their system was down. With that said, the food was decent and the location is great, so our family was happy. We will come back and try again."

"I ordered bhindi masala online around 7:00 PM and added a special request for mint chutney. When I picked up the order, I asked if the chutney was included, and I was told yes. However, when I got home, there was no chutney. The food was just okay, but the service was disappointing. The last time I ordered lamb biryani, it didn’t even resemble biryani – it was very poor quality. Please improve your service. If there's an extra charge for chutney, let us know in advance. We want our dinner plans to go smoothly without any issues!"

"The chaats were disappointing. The papdi chaat was lacking nearly every spice, resulting in a bland and soggy dish. There was barely a hint of yogurt, and the sweet chutney was more sour than sweet, missing any spice or chili flavor. The Gobi Manchurian resembled a large cauliflower tree (it's important to break down the florets and crisp them up), and it was soggy as well! Surprisingly, the flavor was better than its appearance suggested. The samosa chaat was decent—while not exactly gourmet, it did have some identifiable flavors. However, it lacked the crispy edges typical of samosas and resembled more of a potato patty than a proper samosa, making it feel more like an aloo patty chaat instead. As for the vegetable biryani, I can't comment since they forgot to include it and asked me to return in person for a credit or to pick it up again. The paneer was average as well—nothing special, and while the cubes were soft, the curry was rather ordinary. The naan, on the other hand, was simply undercooked and felt raw."

"This Indian food definitely hit the spot! It was soooo good. I got the Chicken Somosa and Garlic Naan. They were okay, not the best i've had but they were fine. The naan was the most disappointing bc it's my favorite and it was dry and hard. We also got the Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, and the Lamb Curry. All of those entrees were AMAZING. I got my friend who doesn't like alot of food to try the curry chicken and he loved it. It was perfectly seasoned and I love that they let you choose your spice level. The medium was just enough kick for me and the mild was not spicy at all but still really flavorful. My fiancé, who works on ships at the ports on the coast, has had authentic Indian food from when he works vessels with Indian crews. He got the spiciest level lamb (he really loves spicy food) and he said he loved it. He said it burned but for some reason he likes it to do that lol. I and him, would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat really good flavorful Indian food. I would say this is a safe option if your looking for a good entree because I know the food will be good but the sides like the naan and somosas fall off. Sides get and the entrees get ."

"Kismat had been a favorite in the Washington Heights neighborhood for as long as I can remember, back when they were half the size they are today. I just had a wonderful dinner experience there with my mom and my dog. It is a wonderful family owned business that offers delicious food and a great happy hour. Although they always had a popular outdoor seating option, during covid they expanded the outdoor seating area and it is comfortable, family and dog friendly. My favorite entree is the salmon and spinach special, it is delicious and generous with their servings of salmon and creamy spinach. Of course an Indian meal isn't complete without an assortment of breads such as my favorite garlic naan. I also highly recommend the mango lassi, but I like to order it to-go and have it separately because otherwise it can fill you up quickly. Overall, such a fantastic restaurant that is perfect whether on a date, with family and friends, or enjoying a drink quietly alone."

"The name being “Glory of India”? I don’t think so. More like disappointment. I hate to leave bad reviews but people need to know how awful it was. If I cooked like that I would NOT open a restaurant OMG. Where do I even begin?. So the goat curry and lamb vindaloo were soupy and watery, did not cling to the rice at all, they just drained to the bottom of the plate. The “onion salad” was a joke, basically just a red onion cut up with a couple jalapeño peppers in it and no dressing, just 2 lemon wedges. The naan was seriously lacking flavor. The portions were tiny. Almost no lamb in the lamb vindaloo. The portions of rice pudding are basically in a container u would use for dressing or a condiment tiny. They were watery and WAY too sweet! Just awful. The coconut soup was basically just coconut. I didn’t try it but needless to say most of it was left. I leave one start reviews for places I will never go to again and would never recommend and this restaurant definitely didn’t even earn the one star. I will mention one thing, my friend enjoyed the meal which I was shocked to hear, so to defend those who actually gave more than one star, I guess some people’s palates are much more forgiving. I have had Indian food plenty of times and NEVER EVER was the lamb vindaloo and goat curry watery and greasy like that. If I could sum up the entire experience in one word it would be DISAPPOINTING. And to add insult to injury, it was kind of expensive for those portion sizes!"

"I'm disappointed! I'm not sure what has changed at Hyderabad House since my last visit earlier this year, but something's definitely off. The butter chicken we had was of low quality. We typically order butter chicken from here about 3-4 times a year because it used to be my favorite spot for it. That has changed. Tonight's butter chicken was basically swimming in fat, and there were barely four pieces of chicken in it. For $15, I felt completely ripped off. This experience has definitely pushed my butter chicken-loving self to seek other options. I'm hesitant to give them another chance because they must have known that serving a bowl with so little chicken was unacceptable. Kinnara's butter chicken for $16 is a much better value, and while I always preferred the version from Hyderabad House, I’ll definitely miss the old, less greasy recipe!"

"Honestly the place is a dump I came in sat down waited 10 minutes till the server came to greet me give me a menu. The resturant has ugly decor a weird smell. When I ask about lunch special they try to pressure me into the Nepali dal bhat tarkari when I asked them is this not a Indian restaurant I’m told yes and that they have Chicken Tikka Masala lunch for $19 I thanked them and started to leave the waiter tells me it’s a great price normally it’s $22!!! The other Indian resturant in the neighborhood is much prettier, cleaner with 50% off lunch special."

"I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends. The customer service was terrible and the food was not very good, especially the malai kofta. The lady taking our order seemed rushed and missed a couple of items. I will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Excellent Family owned with an extensive menu. Service was fast and helpful- and the food was outstanding. We had Vindaloo, Saag, Tandoori, and naan. All were some of the best we have ever experienced- and Indian cuisine is a favorite of ours. The cumin seeded rice that came with the entrees was also amazing. It was packed, busy, and clearly had many regular local customers. Avoid the crazy, trendier places towards downtown and dine here!"

"The family owned Indian restaurant is a 10/10 for my parents and me. The delicious food, serene atmosphere, and attentive service have made this our go to spot for authentic cuisine. Though it was our first visit, we managed to photograph several standout dishes, including the flavorful Tandoori Chicken, which was my favorite. As an eggplant enthusiast, I also thoroughly enjoyed their equally delicious Bainghan Bharta. Additionally, we highly recommend the Goat Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala both were exceptional. We look forward to returning with our family to see the kind, welcoming owners, Ms. Maya and Mr. Singh, once again. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!"

"I recently dined at a large Indian restaurant located at the intersection of RT 16 and RT 28 in Medford. Upon entering, I noticed a fixed-price lunch buffet available at a very reasonable price, and based on the meal I had, I’m eager to try it. I started with a mango lassi, which was creamy, refreshing, and better than what I’ve had at other places. For my main course, I enjoyed a fantastic biryani rice dish that included chicken, shrimp, and mutton. The bread basket featured a variety of naans that were delightful—hot and freshly baked. My wife ordered chicken tikka masala, which was lovely, and our chicken tikka appetizer arrived sizzling on a hot plate adorned with onions; it was excellent as well. The service was efficient and attentive, and the food was served hot. I have no complaints!"

"I highly recommend trying the Sunday afternoon lunch buffet here. The food selection is great, and the service is outstanding—plus, the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere, created by the owner, is lovely. Considering all the options, it was truly a satisfying lunch. I particularly enjoyed the Tandoori chicken, samosas, and goat curry. For vegetarians, there are delicious choices like dal makhani, saag, aloo matar, and channa masala. The flavors of the food remind me of home; it's not too spicy and has a comforting quality. Don't miss out on the mango lassi—it’s an absolute must! The aromas are simply perfect. The weekend buffet is $18, which includes a drink."

"I visited this restaurant twice this week. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food (breakfast roll, lamb saag, and garlic naan) was so delicious that I returned a few days later to celebrate a friend's birthday. Since we were fasting from meat, we tried several of their many vegetarian and vegan options. The vegetable biryani was incredibly tasty and generous—it has me looking forward to my next meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!"
