"we are always on estia and never have a complain. but I booked our reservation a few days before the time and requested a certain table, they did not place us there. I also wrote in the inscription, it was for a birthday and hoped that they put a candle or something in the ice when dessert was ordered, they did not or recognized / ask if we wanted something to birthday. we went early enough to make accommodations and also the reservation early enough in advance. was very disappointed as estia is always on her A game."

"When we first arrived the person who greeted us seemed a bit upset that we were a party of four rather than our reservation for six. We had just left an art opening and some people decided not to join us at the last minute. He had saved us a table for 8 in a private space and was not pleased. But our waiter was delightful and attentive and the food was delicious so it wound up being a very positive experience. We all agreed that we’d definitely return."

"As a group of four we all got together at Apella in the evening and all had a good time celebrating Father's Day. We all split a platter of 5 dips with flat bread to start. My wife and I split some avgolemono soup which came with her meal, it was very tasty. My daughter in law had a big salad that she could not finish and took home it was so much. My wife had very large shrimp Prawns which had the heads still on, she gave me one, they were excellent. I had a lamb shank with artichokes and my son had the traditional moussaka. We each shared two desserts, galaktobouriko and bakalva which my daughter in law said were very good and tasty to her surprise, she had never had them before. All in all a good time was had by all and the meals were excellent. I highly recommend that you try Apella and find out for yourself the reason we had a good time there, it's a wonderful place to have a great meal and and to just relax and just enjoy."

"We waited mins to be asked for drinks or anything. The halibut was over grilled and tasted more like chicken. The cheesecake was a gelatin dessert, not worth the price and underwhelming. The lamb chops were very good however. The ambiance is very nice. Wish the fish and the service were better. We love this restaurant and we hope it improves. It’s an expensive restaurant and we expect a little higher than this. We want to come back hopefully"

"We drive 90 minutes to dine at Avli Taverna from the burbs. The food is always excellent and the service friendly even when it's busy. The wine list is small but superb. The small plates are perfect for a light snack or as a starter for dinner. Main dishes offer a great variety and are beautifully prepared. Desserts are always tempting! We love the atmosphere of this beautiful neighborhood spot and always enjoy our experience there. We were just there tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday and can't wait to return with or without an occasion!"

"I have been coming to the various iterations of this restaurant for 35 years. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it has gone downhill. The food is still basically good, but the cleanliness factor not so much. The salt and pepper shakers, and the iron patio chair backs, are greasy, the throw pillows are dirty, and the bathroom is often out of order or should be. The manager is unfriendly and doesn’t seem to understand that, rather than offer a different chair to replace the greasy one, the chairs and salt and pepper shakers should be cleaned every day. This has the potential to be the great restaurant it once was, but I find myself more often going to the sushi restaurant next door. Hoping for a recovery of my old favorite!"

"Came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. Had a wreath with fries that were both very good. Baklava was good, but very chaotic. Enjoyed it enough to come back and try again a few weeks later. Second trip we arrived on Saturday night, and they hardly had room for us. We had the shrimp appetizer, delicious. The woman had the lamb dogs she loved, and I was over the moon with my meat palp whose name I can't remember. We had the stuffed pastries and the rice pudding for dessert. It didn't care about the rice pudding, but enjoyed the stuffed pastry."

"I went to this restaurant for a quick lunch and received excellent service. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki from their lunch menu, which was served with pita, fries, fresh greens, and Tzatziki sauce. The food was prepared in about 10-15 minutes and tasted really good. The staff was very friendly and the host was welcoming. The interior was nice and clean, and the restroom was also very fresh. Overall, it's a good place with no major complaints. However, it lacks that special something that would make it stand out and make you excited to come back often."

"The our meals were delightful, from the bread and oil and chicken-lemon-rice soup to the kok we enjoyed for dessert. I had dolmades as a meal and the sauce never disappoints. The chicken lemon rice soup is a family favorite, and we believe it has healing properties. I have picked it up or door dashed it when family members are under-the-weather and this time I took a cup to go for my father in a skilled nursing facility, and it was one of the few things he has enjoyed eating in over a month. We are always greeted and treated like family there, and feel the same about George, his mother and his family"

"Pithari is very good and very authentic Greek food, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The food is delicious, to start. I’ve tried various menu items, including the Moussaka, Pastitsio, and various platters, and they’re all great. Portions are very generous for the price, and I often end up taking some food home. I’ve also never had an unpleasant time, in terms of service. The atmosphere is very fun as well. It might be a hair cheesy, but it is fun, and you don’t doubt you’re in a Greek restaurant for a moment (I adore the grape lights! . "We had never been to this restaurant before, but had just come back from a trip to Greece and were craving authentic Greek food. We planned a birthday dinner for my husband. There were 7 of us. We were so excited as we previewed the menu and really wanted classic Greek food. However, we were SO DISAPPOINTED. We placed our orders and the waiter took our menus. However, about 5-10 minutes later, he came back and told us that they were out of 6 of the 7 orders we placed. He then gave us back our menus. This happened THREE TIMES. He was very matter of fact about it. It was so frustrating that he didn’t tell us ahead of time what they were out of, but instead had us peruse the menu each time only to come back once again. How does a Greek restaurant run out of pita? Or moussaka? This happened also with dessert and even with our choice ouzo at the end of dinner. This restaurant is very expensive for what we actually ate and drank. We would have at least expected the manager to apologize and explain to us what happened and to maybe give us a small discount or appetizer on the house. But we got the feeling that this was business as usual. As a matter of fact, the next day at work my husband bumped into a Greek colleague and told him the story. This man had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE and said he would never go again. Neither will we."

"Saturday we went for lunch on a whim because we happened to be in the area. The waitstaff and the owner were very welcoming. Started with the Kolokithokefthethes (homemade zucchini croquettes) and they were so light and flavorful. Wanted to sample a few things on the menu so we ordered the Liga Apo Ola (for two) that included moussaka, pastichio, spanakopita, and dolmades all of which were wonderful. The lemon potatoes were out of this world. The table next to us ordered the kebobs, which smelled amazing (I’ll definitely be trying those next time), and many regular customers were arriving as we were leaving. Full from our meal, we took an order of Baklava to go. We enjoyed it tonight (Sunday), and it was so delicious that we regretted not ordering two! I just grabbed my phone to compliment the restaurant, but they are closed on Sunday, so I jumped on Google Reviews as fast as I could. If you are in the Ewing, NJ area, don’t miss out on this cute, little gem. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!!!"

My Insurance Agent Partner , My Attorney Partner, My Accountant Partner and yours truly the Banker Partner were able to meet over meal to discuss business plans for each of our businesses and how as specialized partners we can contribute to each other business and help each other be successful. Thanks to the Estia team for facilitating this process. The food choices were great, the cocktails were fantastic and yes the appetizers and desserts were beyond tantalizing providing a huge treat for all of our tastebuds. The layout of this space has an ancient feel, with a touch of modern design and accent for that warm Greek style and feel. I especially love the restroom and particularly like that from any angle of the restroom the kitchen was visible. Overall my partners and I were well pleased ‍"
