"My father-in-law treated us to dinner, and we decided to come here. My wife has visited many times before. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, while she chose the asopao de camarones. The flavor of the asopao was delicious, but the shrimp were quite rubbery, and traditionally, shrimp should be served without the tail. My sandwich was just okay, and it took a while to arrive, while everyone else at the table was already enjoying their meals. My father-in-law had the mofongo de chicharrones, and he mentioned that it was dry and hard. Despite the issues, I would definitely come back to try other dishes. I really enjoy restaurants like this and appreciate this type of cuisine."

"In a group of four, only two people enjoyed their meals, and that was because they both ordered the fish tacos. I chose the Acapulco chicken while the other person ordered the redfish. Unfortunately, both dishes had clearly been under heat lamps for too long; the skin had formed an unpleasant layer and the food was cold. The service was so lackluster that we decided to eat a little and leave rather than wait for new dishes to be brought out. This was our second visit to Las Alamedas, and both experiences have been disappointing. Given the numerous restaurant options in Katy and Houston, there are far better choices that should keep this establishment from staying in business for much longer. I recommend saving your calories, time, and money by dining elsewhere."

"Reading the reviews I thought the food was going to impress. Unfortunately the food was not like many on here have described. The good: the service is super friendly and quick. The bad: the food is flavorless, flour tortilla had a processed flavor (think store bought flour tortillas). The best part of the puffy tacos was the shell, the ground beef in the tacos was greasy and under seasoned. The “chilaquiles” were very very untraditional, covered with yellow cheese, almost no sauce, dry and flavorless. I would not recommend this place to a friend."

"I placed an online order for menudo. I received a pork chop in salsa verde. I thought I got someone else's order maybe so I called. No one spoke English (that's okay, I speak a little spanish). She said they sent that because they didn't have menudo until tomorrow. But dang, no one called or messaged to let me know menudo wasn't available and to choose something else. They could have even rejected the order since they didn't have what I ordered. But to just pick something and send it on without any communication is not acceptable. First and last order."

"We were there as soon as we got in! You sit yourself and the waiter or waiter brings you menus and chips, salsa! It's picosito and yummy! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. With the Gentleman singing we returned every time we visit Honduras or Mexico! The food was genuinely served despite the chips and salsa, which is more of a Tex Mexican stack. The staff is bilingual, so don't worry about my only English-speaking friends! The portions are super big. This was our first time here and we will definitely see it more often!"

"I visit this restaurant two to three times a month for my fix of Mexican food. The food is delicious and incredibly authentic, which is why I keep coming back. However, the service is severely lacking, earning it zero stars in my book. Today, I waited 55 minutes for my food to come out, and it's typically a 30-40 minute wait due to the slow kitchen. The staff seem like robots and could definitely do a better job. The manager doesn't seem to care that the service is slow and that orders are not being followed. I am so frustrated that I felt compelled to write this review. Despite there being over a dozen employees, it seems like no one takes responsibility for the poor service."

"Bought takeout for whole family. Overpaid for 3 super burritos tasted like can beans, no meat hardly basically $13 for rice and bean burritos. Super tacos are a joke waaay over priced no meat mostly tomatoes and lettuce. Street tacos were okay but that's about all. After spending over $100 for dinner i expect A LOT better quality. Should have just went to tacobell for better food... I will not be going back."
