"Now, about the steak sandwich. It contained a well-done burger patty, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and mushrooms served on toast. Really? There are burger buns that would hold up much better to marinara sauce; using toast is just a poor choice. The steak, now a burger patty after sitting on the grill for 15 minutes, might have been decent right after it was cooked, but after that long without any seasoning, it turned into a sad, dry puck.
As I took a bite of the soggy bread and dense patty, I found myself gazing out the newly installed windows and wishing I had chosen Mancino's instead. I awarded my third star because I believe they have the potential to do better, and I’ve had decent meals here in the past. I understand it's bar food, but they need to have some pride in their work. The servers were busy, so I won't fault them, but the kitchen needs improvement in organization, training, seasoning, and overall pride in their dishes. If they could get high-quality ingredients from a food service company, they might actually succeed. They need to step things up, or they’re headed for failure."
