"Now, about the steak sandwich. It contained a well-done burger patty, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and mushrooms served on toast. Really? There are burger buns that would hold up much better to marinara sauce; using toast is just a poor choice. The steak, now a burger patty after sitting on the grill for 15 minutes, might have been decent right after it was cooked, but after that long without any seasoning, it turned into a sad, dry puck. As I took a bite of the soggy bread and dense patty, I found myself gazing out the newly installed windows and wishing I had chosen Mancino's instead. I awarded my third star because I believe they have the potential to do better, and I’ve had decent meals here in the past. I understand it's bar food, but they need to have some pride in their work. The servers were busy, so I won't fault them, but the kitchen needs improvement in organization, training, seasoning, and overall pride in their dishes. If they could get high-quality ingredients from a food service company, they might actually succeed. They need to step things up, or they’re headed for failure."

The menu proudly claimed that they were voted Midland's best burger, and after trying the cheeseburgers, we can definitely see why! We dined there on a bustling Friday night, and the lively atmosphere contributed to the experience. It had a noisy, tiled-floor, sports bar vibe that made it perfect for a quick meal with friends. we eat here routinely but realized i had never reviewed this venerable establishment. We like to play keno, have a decent meal at a good price and have a beer or cocktail with the food. The Bully fits the bill. My wife loves the butterfly shrimp, as do I, and the beef quesadilla is plentiful and deicious. The patty melt is also very good. Lots of simple fare for the kids as well. The only knock on the Bully is that their menu tends to be static and focuses on standard pub fare but the value is very good.

I ordered a take out burger with onion rings for my husband after eating here. He got 5 which is at $4 almost $1 per onion rings. A charge for the burger, a charge for the cheese, a charge for lettuce and tomato. I am shocked they didn't charge for mayo also. In the end his burger and onion rings was over $15. Not worth the price. Good luck competing with diamond Jim's burgers. That's where we will be next time. My food was ok. The potato skins were the smallest I have ever seen at a restaurant. Less than 3 inches each. What happened to the Idaho potatoes.
