"I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at this Restaurant, which I feel compelled to share. The incident highlighted a severe lack of management skills and poor communication within the establishment, resulting in a significant waste of my time and an overall disappointing take-out experience.I placed an order for pickup from uber eats, and the restaurant notified me that my order was ready for collection. Excitedly, I made my way to the restaurant, only to be met with a bewildering statement from the manager. After arrival, they informed me that my order would actually take an additional 20-25 minutes to prepare. This sudden change in the estimated waiting time left me feeling frustrated and annoyed.The primary issue here lies in the poor management and miscommunication within Paratha Junction. It is essential for a well-run establishment to have an efficient system in place that accurately communicates the status of orders to customers. In this case, not only did the restaurant fail to provide an accurate estimate initially, but they also failed to update me promptly when they realized the delay.I would give a negative rating cause of this poor management."

"Modest in size with three rows of two person tables pushed together tables in middle and some in windows. Tables against walls on right as you enter are four person tables with high cushions, whereas on left side they were two person tables with high back bench cushioned bench seats facing out with regular wood chairs on outer part of table. Prices are decent compared to other nearby Indian restaurants. Not ADA accessible. Street parking only. Progressive Indian music over speakers. Only three staff and kitchen staff present. Service is laid back but when they are slow it is good. It appears a place for local Indian community rather than tourists. Maybe during work hours it changes. I was here at 6PM on a Wednesday 2023 and there were plenty of tables available with no wait. Flickering mining lanterns for ambience. Clean location. Bar in back of this narrow location. "Chaat is always a wonderful experience! We are loyal clients for 10 years already and enjoying it every single time! The quality is always the best and food is delicious! Service is great and fast! The owner (Mr. Chito) is friendly and sweetheart man, we see him every time when we are dining in, he is very on top of that! He is so talented serving such amazing and delicious food while running this business for so many years, he always works really hard on that. We can tell. Our favorite dishes on the menu are garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and masala fries. We haven’t experienced such a delicious meal anywhere else. This place is the best!"

"The food is mediocre. I had multiple visits of this place but I get the same feeling everything. The staff could be more friendlier but they clearly show no interest in doing so. In one of our visits we had a chicken puff that was clearly spoiled. I honestly was not expecting this, kinda ruined our appetite. They were decent enough to refund us for it. The place has a variety of Indian snacks and the Irani chai here is good. Overall, it's probably a decent place to get some Indian snacks but they can definitely do better in treating their customers properly and having a quality check on their food."

"Having heard a lot about this place I thought of giving it a try today and it did disappoint. Initially went in for khasta kachori but they didn't have it which is fine and then settled for bhel Puri. The Bhel Puri arrived minus Puri and tbh what can we expect here? The chutney though was added in large quantity which made it sweet and sour rather than having a dash of spice. They missed out on masala dal too which always brings flavor to the dish!The restaurant has self service but the ambience is really bad. The floor seemed sticky and the tables weren't cleaned. The cakes on display felt as if they had been there for a long while and the staff felt it wasn't' much interested in serving the customers. They could either improve their service or look forward to winding down in the future as the competition increases around them."

"My family and I had been eager to try this restaurant ever since they relocated. It appears to be a family-owned establishment that has expanded in size. The interior seating was cramped and close to other diners, with the air conditioning off and only fans providing ventilation. There was a noticeable unpleasant smell in the air, accompanied by an abundance of flies and fruit flies. We were mainly interested in trying their dosa and sambhar. We ordered masur masala, masala dosa, and some appetizers. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the quality of the food. The dosas were undercooked and too small, while the sambhar lacked authenticity and was too watery. We would rather dine at another restaurant in Buffalo Grove, just 15 minutes away. We will not be returning to this restaurant, as the lack of authentic taste was a major letdown for us."

I'm not sure where the 'street food' angle comes into play; while I can't comment on the authenticity of the dishes, we regularly enjoy Indian cuisine and find it quite good here. The only dish we weren't satisfied with was the Aloo Paneer, which was quite bland. Portion sizes can vary, but overall, the value is decent. Service can also be hit or miss; we've had the same waiter who was inattentive and slow on one visit, yet a joy to deal with the next time."

"On a whim, I decided to grab some takeout and chose this Indian restaurant since it was the closest option. Overall, I had a great experience! The restaurant may be small, but it has a lovely atmosphere and was very clean and tidy. The owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The prices were similar to other Indian restaurants I've visited. I ordered onion kulcha and paneer makhani, and both were delicious. The spice level is a bit hotter than what I'm used to, so be mindful of that. However, the flavors were fantastic, and the portions were generous. While I've had better onion kulcha (this one was a bit thinner than I prefer), it was still quite tasty. Their vegetarian menu is more extensive than many other Indian places I've been to, which already offer a good variety, so I’m definitely planning to return to try out some of the other dishes that I can’t find elsewhere. Overall, it was well worth the drive!"

"This is one of my favorite vegan pizza spots! I absolutely love the variety of flavors they offer. I always opt for a large pizza so I can enjoy the leftovers. The Gobi Manchurian pizza is simply delicious and full of flavor. I also really enjoy the white coconut corner; once I had half of it, and it was perfection! The atmosphere is nice and cozy—nothing extravagant, but it's a great place to meet up with friends. I believe it’s owned by the same people as the nearby Dosa N Curry, which is another fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're a pizza lover!"

"My recent visit to this Indian restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The establishment's unique layout, featuring a bakery at the entrance and the dining area next door, initially piqued my interest. Eager to explore their offerings, I ordered two dishes: the Veg Hakka noodles and the parotha taco.Starting with the parotha taco, I was taken aback by its size considering the $15 price tag. It appeared disappointingly small, particularly when considering that each individual taco costs $5. The value for money here left much to be desired, as I was expecting a heartier portion.As for the Veg Hakka noodles, I was looking forward to a satisfying blend of flavors. Unfortunately, the dish was marred by an overwhelming taste of black pepper powder. The excessive use of this spice drowned out the other flavors and made the dish almost unbearable. Regrettably, I found myself unable to finish it due to the overpowering pepper taste.While the restaurant's concept is intriguing and the bakery section is a nice touch, the execution of the dishes fell short of expectations. The parotha taco's size and value, combined with the Hakka noodles' overpowering flavor, left me unsatisfied with my dining experience. I hope the restaurant takes these aspects into consideration to enhance the overall quality of their offerings."

"Great experience while traveling to Fort Lord on our trip. Owner/ manager was very welcoming, suggested grilled Pomfret which was a delicacy followed by fish curry and my friend had Goat curry which was one of the best fishes we had in a long time. I have travelled extensively all over world and found this one was one tOf the best Indian restaurant I have came so far which serves food close to/ better that what you can get in India. Highly recommended.We me and my friend) were so impressed with the food that we went second time in a two day window before we leave the town and ordered great Pomfret followed by southern style fish curry and Goan prawn curry which were again excellently made and delivered. "We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the area and found this lovely place. As we sat deciding what to get, the server offered us a “lunch box” that was not on the menu. A delicious assortment with two types of curry (on was eggplant w potato and the other chickpea), small salad with king beans and lentils, basmati rice, and their fresh delicious roti. "There was this person standing outside the restaurant and was serving gol gappe. Boy I was surprised to see a person literally serving u gol gappe. Saw this only once in US in New Jersey before.The price was $10 for 8 pieces but it was worth it. Asked him for a good place to eat lunch and he recommended the place he was standing in front of( as expected). Went in and ordered chole bhature and aalo tikki chaat.Chole bhature were good but aalo tikki was dry. It had loads of chutney and yoghurt but still felt dry on the palate.5 stars for the gol gappe but not more than 3 for the food served inside.Host was very friendly and I liked the way he treated the customers.Maybe next time , we would try more dishes and get better taste."

"The taste is very good but the service is WORST( understatement) and the quantity is average. I went on a dosa night. They force you to eat idli, upma, wada and pongal along with the first dosa (plain dosa only) which I didn't want to eat as I came for dosa night and didn't want to waste as it is food!! And you dont have the option to change or modify the items. This is their trap to fill your stomach after the first serving itself.Then we ordered 2 dosas which came after 20 mins!!! Then we ordered 3 dosas next. The server brought only the dosas without the chutney! I waited for the chutney to arrive which never arrived even after asking multiple times. I waited for 15 20 mins!! Finally, as I was finishing my dosas (WITHOUT THE CHUTNEY), the server brought it and when I told him that I have already finished eating my dosa. He asked me to order another dosa to eat with this chutney which obviously i didn't want to!!When i asked for the check, they charged us 15 usd per person which was not accurate from what they said a week ago. When i told the server that their price was 12.99 usd ,he told that they changed it 2 months ago. Which obviously was not correct as they told me that it is 12.99 usd a week ago!!Next, they have halal sign on the front door. I called them and asked if they have a certificate for halal meat, they said yes. After reaching the restaurant, when i asked about it they did not have it . The receptionist told me that they have it inside and will get it and show it to me which never happened. So, basically I am not sure if they really have it. Why would a restaurant keep their halal certificate inside?They also have items on the menu they dont serve yet so check with them before going there.It doesn't end here!! I also tried ordering online. They close at 1 AM in the night and ran out of mutton biryani at 8 PM!! And replaced it with bone in chicken biryaani without informing/asking me. When I called them to change it to boneless chicken biryaani they said ran ran out of that as well. Then I asked them to change it to fried rice, then they said that the chef is not available. Really? At 8 PM?? When they close at 1 AM!! I mean come on!! When the chicken biryani arrived, the chicken quality was very bad. The meat was all pink on the inside. Looked like the chicken was not fresh at all!!!I lost trust in them and I am not going to return to this restaurant ever again!!!Now, I understood why their rating is so bad online!! The service!! I would have given negative rating if possible!!"

"As soon as you enter, you might not notice the separation between the market and the restaurant. I absolutely loved the food! Here’s what I ordered: veggie samosas (3 pieces) served with a tamarind and spicy cilantro sauce, lentil soup, garlic naan, and Aloo Gobi (potatoes and cauliflower, which I chose with mild spices) alongside saffron rice. The staff were incredibly patient and explained the menu terms to me. It seems like a family-run place, and everyone had a great attitude. The ambiance is relaxed, with a TV playing Indian music videos, which added to the entertainment. Parking was easy with no hassle at all! The seating arrangement can feel a bit cramped, as the space is split between the market and the restaurant, bringing you closer to your neighbors than you might expect. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!"
